Hi all, I need some info! Do any of you cross the border and fly out to Orlando from a U.S airport? Any close enough for someone from NS to drive to? Thanks.

Hi there,

The best place for us in NS is Boston. It seems to have the best fares. We are using areoplan to get to Boston and then bought Jet Blue tickets from there to Orlando. Saved us nearly 700.00 at the time. I have never drove accross so I can't help you there, but many have from TO to Buffalo with no problems.

3.5 hours from Saint John...it's a little far for us from here in CB, but oh so tempting! American has some great rates, BGR-LGA-MCO

That's what we are planning to do in August. We're going to drive from Halifax to Manchester NH and fly Southwest from there.

It's @ 12 hrs of driving, but with five of us, we figured it wouls be a good compromise betweeen the expense of flying and the exhaustion of driving. I haven't seen flights from YHZ-MCO for our dates for under $550 each since March and we only paid $215 CAD, so even with gas, hotel and parking, we're saving at least a thousand bucks.

I wouldn't try it in February though....

We have travelled to Bangor, 3 hours from Fredericton. The prices can be as low as $300 CAD. The best part is not going through customs at the airport, which can be a pain at the best of times.

We are also flying from Bangor-saved almost 300 per ticket rather than flying from Fredericton!

We have gone out of Bangor but for our upcoming Xmas trip, I found fares out of Boston for less than $200 CAD including all taxes, that is with Delta. It will be a further drive but I think the price will be worth it!

Thanks for your help. A friend is planning her family's first trip, not sure if they are planning on driving or flying but I wanted to give her some options.
