I've had the ZPack a couple times and they really do work well. I hope it works well for you.

So what is new, are you feeling any better today? I am so glad it's Friday today. Katie never allows me to sleep in on the weekends, but it's nice to be able to stay in my pajamas until 10am if I want to.

Well, I got to go and put Kate to bed - she's looking very tired. Talk to you later.

How old is your DS? My youngest is 6. At least now she turns the cartoons on herself. My weekend is gonna be pretty low key. My DH has to teach tomorrow and then work OT on Sunday, so I'm on my own with the kids. Not much to do but run them around and watch the boards.

Hello polly p  I have 2 DD's and they are the ages of 6 1/2 and 17 months. They are alot of fun!! My 6 1/2 year old spends most of her time at home in her playroom watching Lizzie McQuire :cutie: and my 17 month old loves watching Barney, Teletubbies and The Wiggles  (the banana is wiggling).

How many children do you have polly p and what are all their ages?

I have 3. A DD14,DS12, DD6. My oldest is a competitve cheerleader. We drag her to practices 5-6 days a week. My DS usually does whatever modified sport is going on and boyscouts and my little one is following in her sister's footsteps. My kids love Lizzy too. They are all fun. Busy but fun. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Good evening Polly :teeth:

Since we are all telling about ourselves ( just cover your eyes slo cause i know you already know this LOL)

I have a DS that is 16 1/2 he is a Wrestler and is ranked in the State of Texas ( proud Mom here)

I have a DD 18 1/2 who has gradutated from HS and is doing her college thing right now . She was a cheerleader in HS and did the competitve thing for years and years . I dont miss it at all ! Itwas a ton of money and a ton of work on my part not to mention hers .

before you think I am some kind of creepy girl the little boy in the pic is my nephew . Since my kids are doing thier own thing my sister lets me borrow him , he my taveling buddy :cool1:

Your nephew is very cute. A true future fireman.

You can say that again about cheerleading! A ton of time and money. But she loves it and I know where she is all the time. Now my 6 year old is starting up. God I hope she switches to soccer!

Hello girls and how is everyone this fine Saturday :cool1: ? We are all doing good over here.

So what's the scoop on cheerleading? Stephanie is wanting to start cheerleading classes and I am going to sign her up soon. I know she would be very good at it because she's tiny, energetic, big personality and pretty (wow, I really sound like I'm bragging about her, but she is :cutie: ). Anyway, tell me about it, will I regret it? Will she regret it? Please share your experiences so I don't end up like this :scared: because it makes me go crazy.

So what else is new? Not to much here - well talk to you girls later.

My DD started at 4 here in Texas Cheerleading a big thing for girls . She did the pee wee football thing for K-6th Grade and most of those years did the competitive cheerleading thing also . Then took a break for 2 years during Jr. High school THANK THE LAWD ! ( that was the best 2 years of my life !)
Wehn she went to High School she went back to cheering and it was rough .

She also shows her horses and has been doing that since she was 5 she still does it now . That is the hard life the life of a "Barn Mother" It is worse then "Cheerleader Mom" but it has better rewards in the the end to me . Maybe because she gets her love of horses from me .

Yup I will take the roll of " Wrestling Mom " anytime.

:cheer2: :cheer2: My oldest started cheerleading when she was 7. She started with Popwarner and now is doing the competitive thing. She likes it much better. no football games to cheer at. We travel Jan-May to competitions. This year she is_going to UPA in minnesota (Feb). My youngest is 6. She started cheering last year. She travels too but not as far. The worst part of cheerleading is the many nights a week practicing. Not to mention the cost. I travel with my girls so that makes the cost bigger. but they love it. My girls both take gymnastic lessons to help their cheerleading too. I am around it so much I started coaching. At least I get more info and perks that way. :cheer2:

It sounds like cheerleading takes a lot of time and money. I know Stephanie will love it though, so I am going to let her pursue it. She's been in gymnastics since the age of 2 and dancing since the age of 3. She just loves this kind of stuff.

Katie is my big girl, and I am really hoping she will be my softball player someday. I tried to get Stephanie involved with t-ball and she hated it, just hated it, so we haven't done it since. As soon as Kate is 4 I am signing her up for t-ball, and hopefully she will love it.

Thanks for the cheerleading info, and I will have to keep everyone filled in on when I sign Steph up for her classes.

Hi girls -

Katie has RSV again - I can't believe it. I am just so bummed out right now I can't even explain it. Katie started having a cough and slight cold on Friday night, and it went from bad to worse over the weekend. Last night she coughed almost the entire night. Luckily, she doesn't wake up - but I sure do. So I took her to the doc today and she told me that she has RSV again. With this she has to have breathing treatment every 4 hours for 7 days and then an additional breathing treatment w/ different mediciane for 5 days. This is around the clock. I personally don't mind giving these treatment, but you should see how Katie screams during them. When she was 3 months old and I had to do this she would just lay there because she couldn't do much else. Now she fights to get away, swats at the mouth piece, it's unbelievable how much she hates this. I'm hoping she will start to get used to this since we are going to be doing it so much - one can only hope - right?!?!

So what else is new with everyone. This is enough for me. I'll write in soon to fill you in on how things are going.

I hope Katie gets to feeling better really soon ! Nothing worse then a sick child .

Ok so tell me SLO what do we need to do to rope the other girls back in ? I guess we could go back and PM the others that used to come around . I remember when we were a happening little thread of Firefighter wives .... awww how I long for the days !

I hope Katie is feeling better. Maybe she'll out grow this. My DS was diagnosed with asthma when he was 2. He didn't like the breathing treatments either, but at 11 he was tested and they said he had no signs of asthma. Now when he gets a cold it doesn't go directly to his lungs.
Hang in there. Hopefully you can get some sleep tonight.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes for my little Kate :grouphug:

She is actually doing a little better today. She slept better last night and didn't cough as much. I had to give her 2 breathing treatments in the middle of the night, of which I did while she was sleeping. I just stuck the nebulizer by her face in the crib and she never knew it was happening. :)

During the day her nose ran a little less and she still coughed a little less, which is a good sign. She's having fun playing with Stephanie, which helps her keep her mind off her not feeling well.

I'm going to be putting her to bed in a couple minutes and I am praying that she has another night where she doesn't cough as much. I feel better knowing that she is getting some good quality sleep.

With Kate sick, I am home from work all week and I am getting some much needed work done. Today I spent hours in Stephanie's room cleaning it and throwing stuff away. It was great!!! Of course Stephanie was at school, because she never would have allowed me to do this if she was home. The funny thing is though, she nevers knows what I throw away - which makes me know it really was garbage. Tomorrow I am tackling the playroom :scared1: . So if you don't hear from me, it's because the room sucked me in and didn't leave me out - it's scary in there!!!

Well that is about it for me - I hope everyone is doing well!!

Slo

glad to see she is fighting to get well !

Take care of her and yourself

Hugs
Mishell

OMG I spent over 2 hours in the playroom today and I threw away a huge garbage bag full of crap. It just blows my mind how much crap kids accumulate. So....in my time at home I threw away a huge garbage full of crap out of Stephanies bedroom and the second bag out of the playroom. I am feeling pretty darn successful - I feel kinda like this

Katie is doing better everyday and you can just tell by looking at her face. She is just brighter, smilier and happier :flower: . Pretty soon we can put this illness behind us - and then we will all feel like this   (I've really got something for this banana today :rotfl: ). I guess it just shows that our mood in this house is getting happier.

I gotta say...I've been really enjoying this time off of work. I've really been able to catch up on a lot of chores. I think I have worked harder here at home this week than if I went to work. But my week is starting to come to a close and it will be time to go back to work on Monday :hourglass .

Well, I guess that is about it for today. I hope all is well with everyone and I will talk to you all later!!! :wave2:  :wave2:

We were all the way back on page #8 - I'm bumping us to page #1 :teleport: Here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
