Well, Stephanie has another 2 hour delay, and quite frankly, the school should be closed today. It has snowed alot, and it's still snowing. My street hasn't been plowed, and no driveways or sidewalks have been shoveled. It's a very very snowy morning here!!!!

Karen - I'm so happy for you that you get a 4 day weekend It sounds like you have a lot planned, so it should be very eventful Good luck again to Emily I'm sure she'll do great!!!!!

Yesterday school was cancelled for Stephanie, and I had both girls with me at work all day (I kept Katie with me too, so I wouldn't have to drive as much in the snow). The snow finally let up at around noon, and then the roads were perfectly fine. We sure did get alot of snow though - probably 9 -10 inches. The weather people are calling for more snow this week I'm so tired of this winter!!!!


Tonight we are going to see the Hannah Montana 3D Concert Movie. The girls are very very excited!!!!

Emily loved the wave people!!

We are off to a parade today, then another tonight. It is about 55 degrees right now and sunny. They are predicting temps into the 70s tomorrow. No snow for us! Sorry!! Enjoy the movie - it sounds really great!

The Hannah Montana was a lot of fun, and many girls in the theater were as crazy as they were at the concert Many older girls (13 and up) were standing and dancing (which I felt really bad for those people that were sitting behind them, because many of these girls were tall), and alot of screaming I really wasn't expecting that at the movie theater, even Stephanie said she wasn't expecting that. But it was a lot of fun, and the my girls loved it!!!!

We had a good Sunday staying at home.
I got some chores done, and then I sat in front of the tv for the rest of the day. I put in 3 and after I skipped over all the scariest parts, for Katie's benefit, I condensed that movie from 3 hours to 2 hours Then I watched Meet the Fockers on ABC last night - no Superbowl for me

Good morning everyone!

We helped my dad with the sailboat race yesterday. The weather was great! It was beautiful and sunny! We are headed downtown in a couple of hours to check in to the hotel. We are staying at a hotel on the parade route for the next two days. It is worth the expense to have a clean bathroom, no traffic battle and somewhere to relax between parades. there in one parade this afternoon and then one tonight & then all day tomorrow. It really is fun. I am going to take the laptop in the event that the hotel has wifi. It is also nice for watching movies!!!

So we are all settled in to our room and they do have internet! The weather was awesome today - 80 degrees! Only in Mobile! Ok well pretty much anywhere in the South! We will go to the parade tonite & then to Picklefish for pizza. Tomorrow will be an all day event. I will go to work from the hotel Wednesday & Jim will take the kids (Haley is here) home and then he will head to work. The kids go back to school on Thursday. I'm sorry for anybody who's stuck working! Talk to ya'll later!

You should have seen the fog we had here yesterday - it was crazy!!! It was so bad, that one of our 2 airports was totally shut down It was very hard to drive last night, and I'm so glad to wake up this morning, and see the fog gone. I didn't want STephanie to have another 2 hour delay from school We are supppossed to get alot more snow tonight, so she may have a delay tomorrow - this weather has been so crazy by us this winter


Karen - I'm so glad you are having a nice time Enjoy those warm temps for me, would ya, I need some warmer temps right now How was the parade last night - I bet it was alot of fun!!!! How did your dad do in the sailboat race?

So you sent the fog our way!! It is foggy this morning, but should burn off. My dad is the Race Committee chairman, so he's running the races. So we help with that process. He will get to race in events hosted by other yacht clubs. He is in a race in May from Florida to Mexico and mom will fly down to meet him. They have a week long party on the island and then sail back! we send Mardi Gras beads down there. All the sailors have a Mardi Gras parade! Gotta make a coffee run!! See ya later!

I have to laugh so hard

I thought your dad was involved in a hand held boat race, not a real boat that you ride in. I have no idea why I thought that but I did So this whole time I thought he had this great remote controlled boat.

What kind of boat does your dad have?
Kevin and I would love to get a boat someday, but not until the kids are older.

We were very lucky and got very little snow - maybe a couple of inches Stephanie was disappointed, because she wanted another snow day. I keep telling her that she needs to make up all days in the summer, and then she'll be crying when she's at school, instead of being in the pool. But there's no convincing her

A salt truck kicked something up onto Kevin's car yesterday and cracked his windshield all the way across My friend/insurance agent is going to try and get the Illinois Tollway to pay for it (Kevin got all the info off the truck), and if they don't, than I guess we have to pay for it It's always something!!!!

sandy - I'm sorry about the windshield! I know that is frustrating! It was hard getting back into the routine yesterday! I went to work straight from the hotel and Jim and the kids came home later. The kids go back to school this morning! They are dragging butt! My dad races sailboats. I had a good laugh picturing him with a remote controlled boat!! He started sailing when he was in college. He's really good!

Our weather is back to our winter norm today! 30's in the morning, but we warm up to the 60's very quickly. It is supposed to be sunny and pretty all week. We have a few weather make up days built into the shcedule throughout the year, but if there are too many they tack them on at the end. We usually miss for hurricane stuff and since it's early in the year, we have more school year to make it up.

**You can definitly tell how different our areas are when I say our schools close for snow, ice, and fog, and you say your schools close for hurricane stuff. What's so weird about that, is that I know you so well now, that I feel like we are neighbors

Poor Katie was complaining of a stomachache all day yesterday, and I just kept telling her she needed to use the bathroom, because, normally she does when she has a stomachache. Well, at 8:30 last night, up came her dinner She has not been sick like that for literally 2 years, and I think it kinda freaked her out Luckily, she hasn't been sick since, but I didn't get much sleep, because I was waiting for the next round to start anytime. I even had her sleep on my floor, so I could keep an eye on her. We are going to take food with her very slow today, because we are going to see HSM on Ice tomorrow, and I want to make sure she is okay.


Well, I gotta go get ready for work.
Katie is going to come with me today, because Kevin has many errands to run, and I want her just to relax. So I'll bring out her little bed, and she can lay in my office and watch movies all morning and early afternoon

Katie's much better now, and did great all day yesterday She went to work with me in the morning and early afternoon, and just relaxed in the office, watching movies. Than she took a great nap with Kevin at home, and then did great last night - thank goodness!!! I was really nervous about not being able to go today Now lets hope Stephanie or me doesn't get it


Today is a big day for Stephanie, she is getting her ears pierced before we go to the ice show. She is so nervous and excited at the same time I'll let you all know how it went.


I can't get over our temps today - it's negative 4 right now
Originally we wanted to go downtown all day, but with these temps we said, "PASS!!" So we are only going for the show and for dinner. It'll still be a good day!!!



Well, I'm off to make some breakfast and then get ready to go

Hey! Sorry I haven't been around this weekend. I worked both days. I am hoping to get enough extra money that we can drive down to WDW for Spring Break! I don't know if it will work out, but it would be great!

slo - How did Steph do with the ears??? That is a big deal! I cheated with Emily and used medicine to numb the earlobes!

What a great day we had yesterday!!!

Stephanie did awesome with getting her ears pierced
She picked out nice cubic zirconia (sp?) studs, and was very brave getting them put in. She did want to sit on my lap, and she did hang on tight to my arm, but that's okay - I like the fact that she still needs her mom to feel secure She said her ears stung for awhile, but by the time the ice show was over, she said they had no pain anymore

The ice show was one of the best I've seen
It was put together wonderfully, and the coreography was fantastic - alot of fun!!!

Then we went out to eat a Ed Debevics, which is like a 60's hamburger joint with really sarcastic servers, and our server was great - so much fun!!! Stephanie didn't know what to think of him, because she's not used to a server being so rude He was great and really deserved his tip!!!

It's still really cold here, and I'm waking up to a -3 temperature. I hate this kind of weather - it's so cold that it takes your breath away when you go outside.


Karen - That's okay about not posting all weekend, I know you are busy. I post everyday because I get up so darn early everyday That's great that you're planning on going to WDW over Spring Break - how fun!!! I hope that all works out for you!!!!
