Good morning!! I am up and about getting ready to go to Wal Mart to get some stuff for the trip. We actually leave tomorrow a.m. as early as possible. I bought a new camera last night. I don't really take alot of pics, I just want to get some good ones during the parade. The girl at Best Buy was very helpful. She didn't even point me in the direction of the $400 cameras. I am going to take it to James' game this afternoon and practice a little bit with it. Luckily, all of my children are much more tech savvy than me!! I'll check in again before we leave!!

Karen - I won't be DISing anymore today, so I'm going to tell you goodbye now I hope you have a wonderful trip (I'm sure you will)!! Just a quick break! James' team won their game this afternoon and are advancing to the next round of the playoffs (which will take place the week after Turkey Day). I am close to being done with my packing, J & E are done, Jim is close - he will have to finish his when he comes home from the station. AFter I finish my suitcase we are going to load everything but Jim's stuff in the car.

I can't get over how breathtaking this is, and I'm sure it's even more breathtaking when you see it in person I hope you are having a great time!!!!

I'm not working a full day today

I don't know when I'm leaving - all I know is that it's going to be way before 7pm I love having my college employee home!!!!

I was hoping to be home more yesterday, but that ended up not happening I did leave work by 3:30pm, but then I had to take Katie to the doctor because she has, what I suspected, a small staph infection on her face. I've been taking care of the sore for a couple of weeks (looks like a pimple), but now that it's not going away, I was starting to get concerned. The doctor confirmed that it is a form of staph, and said it's nothing to worry about, and for me to continue doing what I'm doing, which is putting Bacitracin on it, and it will go away. She said it's not MRSA, because if it was, the sore would have gotten much much bigger by now - so this was good news!!!!


Then after coming home from that, we all went out for Mexican, because I wasn't in the mood to cook I had my first Flauta dinner, and it was yummy!!!!! Then we came home, and I cleaned, and baked brownines until about 10:30pm I decided to watch some tv when I was done with my work, and I probably shouldn't have, because I was up until 12:30am watching 8MM - weird movie!! I have seen it before, so the shock value wasn't there this time, but it's still weird.


So now I'm up early to DIS before I start getting ready for church - which is at 9am. I still have some last minute things to do around the house, and then I need to start cooking when I get home. My responsibility's are sweet potatoes, corn pudding, I already made the brownies, the rolls, and Kevin is making the turkey Then all the company comes over at around 1pm

Well, Kevin is already gone to try and get Stephanie's Wii - I hope he's successful (fingers crossed). The kid at Game Stop told him to be there at 7am today, but I forgot, and he didn't leave the house until 7:15am - thank goodness it's a stone throw away - I'll give you the Wii update later.


Yesterday was a wonderful day
All the food was wonderful, and the company was great - a very nice day!!!!


Today I will be going into work for awhile, and then I was to start getting the Christmas decorations out. Kevin and I were chuckling last night because after I cleaned up the table, I brought out the Christmas runner out and put it on the table, and I said to Kevin, "Merry Christmas, Thanksgivings over!" It gave us a little laugh

This is a quick post before I jump into the shower. We are taking the girls for very early Christmas pictures this morning - 9am I sure hope the girls smile, because I know they'll be crabby - especially Katie

The pictures should be very pretty when done. The girls are wearing a black & gold dress this year, and I'm going to have them surrounded by red poinsettias (sp?). I also have some gold poinsettias that I'm going to take with, incase we need them. I always stress over these pictures , and I never look forward to this day, but I know they'll turn out nice, so it's always worth the stress

I had such a kick butt day yesterday!!!

*The girls pictures turned out great - I was very happy with them!!!!
*The girls saw Santa afterwards - that picture turned out great too!!!
*While at the mall we bought a couple more Christmas gifts, I got a new Razor phone (mine was literally falling apart, it was embarrassing), the girls picked out a new outfit from Childrens Place (they aren't getting it until Christmas - I"m wrapping it and putting it under the tree), and then we went out to lunch at Olive Garden.
*Then we came home, and I got the upstairs, and downstairs decorated for Christmas Now I have to put the lightup garland on the railings, and then I'm done!!!!!
*So.....I went to bed last night feeling very successful with my day!!!!

I got most of the vacation laundry washed yesterday. Jim & James did the yard. Emily & I went and bought the gifts for Jim's family Christmas party - which is Saturday!!!!!!
Today we are back to the work, school & football practice drill!! Ugh!!

How are you doing with your holiday shopping?
I'm kicking butt and taking names I'm almost done with everyone I'm waiting, and hoping, that American Girl Store will have free shipping again so I can order Stephanie's presents, but if I don't get that within a week or so, than I'm just going to order everything.


Time to run, and get some vaccuuming done before I go to work.

Hi! Sorry I haven't been around! We have left early evey day this week - so no DIS time!

The only gifts I have done are the ones for Jim's family party this Saturday. My bff and I have one big day every year where we go get everything. She had her appendix out yesterday, so this may delay the shopping bonanza! I will probably also do some with Sarah when she comes home! We don't have lights up yet!!!! We have been busy every day since we got home! UGH!! I feel so non festive!

Hi all - I'm up super early this morning, and will be every morning from now on. I never told you guys, but Kevin got a new job He got a great offer from a great company up by Midway airport, and he just couldn't refuse. His other job took it really well, and he left on very good terms (his last day was yesterday). Today is his first day at his new job, and he has to leave really early to get there on time. I like to get up with him, because it's easier for him to get up, and also because I can get my day started even earlier. I excel with getting things done in the morning, and I'm pretty excited to be able to get more things now
