Happy Friday!!!

I am so glad I am off work today. I just want to spend the day in my jammies!! Of course, I have to drive carpool - but I can do that in my jammie pants!! I don't actually have to get out of the car!! I will have to get dressed to buy groceries, but I will stay in them as long as I can!!

slo - how are you feeling today? Is your throat better?

Not to much going on here today (it's so cold!!!!! )

Our city is really getting ready for the Superbowl on Sunday.
Are any of you doing anything for the Superbowl?
Kevin is going to a Superbowl party, but me and the girls are staying home. I'll turn the Superbowl on here and there to check the score, but I'm not watching it from start to finish I think we will watch some movies instead


Karen - I take Stephanie to school in my PJ's too I don't get out of the car either, so I don't care that they are on.
**My throat is 1/2 better, thanks for asking . Now I have to worry about Ms. Katie though. She woke up at 4am sobbing that her left ear hurt. I gave her some Motrin and she finally went back to sleep. I'm now wondering if that 4 day fever she had last week was the start of an ear infection I hate taking her to the Pediatrician this time of year, because there's so much sickness over there that I don't want her to get. But, I'm gonna call her today and see if she wants to see her - so we'll see


Well, I gotta run and get Steph up for school

I agree with both of you TGIF!! Must be a trend I am hoping to spend until noon in my jammie pants...lol I have to pick up a few things to get us through the weekend and so that when we come home I dont have to go to the grocery store to make breakfast and lunches for the day after we get back.

Idroveallnight- How are plans coming along for the day you leave? Will you still have to drive all night?

Slo- Glad to hear your throat is feeling a little better. I hope Stephanie doesnt have an ear infection. Maybe if you have to bring her in you could ask to be brought directly into a room so that she isnt in the waiting room? Our doctors office always takes us straight in.

No Superbowl plans for us, probably just order some pizza and wings. That will be our crunch day for getting ready to go. DH leaves for work Monday morning at around 715 and wont return home until around 11 pm. He has drill after work. So he will be no help that day. But I dont mind because he wont be there for a couple weeks. Monday night I might get cranky from trying to get ready, and complain about him not being there but really I dont mind. Do you all ever do that? Really you understand the time they devote, but can't help but feel frustrated by their not being there? Im probably not expressing that right.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. Im listening to Wishes right now. I can't wait!!! Im getting so excited and the kids are counting down everyday!

So, I thought I would finally finish my TR from January



I took this is Saturday morning at 6am when we went to the MK to see my friend run the 1/2 marathon.

Then we ate breakfast at Whispering Canyon where I shot this picture. Remember, the day before the place was filled with Christmas cheer.

Afterwards, we went to Epcot to spend the day

We went on the new Finding Nemo ride, which we really enjoyed!!!!

We visited the American Adventure, which was still decorated for X-Mas

I took this in MouseGears (I thought it was cute!!)

This lighted arch-way leading to the World Showcase was beautiful!!!

The next day (Sunday) my friend and I went to MGM (Kevin was sick and stayed in bed for awhile. He did join us at around 4pm)

This Santa was above Mama Melrosa's. I noticed him as we were eating outside at Pizza Planet.

Herbie was all decked out for Christmas.
It was nice seeing him with a bow, instead of love bugs, like in Sept.

All the lights had a christmas tree on them - I thought that was pretty cool!!

Than for the first time, we were able to see the Osborne Festival of Lights - it was magnificent!!!!!

Then later that night, Kevin went back to bed, and my friend and I went to the MK to enjoy EMH. This is where we saw Nicole and Tony at Stitch's Great Escape, and I'm really kicking myself for not having someone take a picture of Nicole and I - oh well, next time!!!

The next morning we got up early so we could go have breakfast at The Crystal Palace. The castle was back to normal (I loved the 50th Anniversary castle, but I really love the castle most when it looks normal)

It was sad seeing Splash Mountain all dried up

While we were waiting to get into the Haunted Mansion we saw this tombstone with a little lizard and a rose on it

I also noticed for the first time that this tombstone moves. Did you all know that it's eyes and head moved? I think I'm the only one that didn't know this. This is why I love going to WDW over and over again. Just when I think I have seen it all, I find something else that I didn't notice before.

When we were leaving the MK I had to take a picture of these 3 windows. I just loved how they made the skirts for these dresses out of dolls. It's sorta hard to see the bust of the dress from the reflection in the windows, but if you look close you can see it.

Those are so gorgeous! Thanks for the pics! I love those pictures. Dante wants really badly to go during the xmas season. So I had said right after his bday since his bday is Thanksgiving time, but my hubby says no he wants to be there on Christmas one year. So we are thinking maybe 2009. What are rates like at that time of year? We would like to stay at AKL possibly.

slo - great pics and trip report!!!

Our plans aren't finalized for the trip down yet. I have a friend who's hubby is a pilot for Delta. She is asking him if he has any Buddy Passes left. If he does, then Emily & I could fly down after try outs and Mom would still leave at lunch time with James and Haley. We would all ride back together. Emi and I would get there late, but no one would have to drive all night. Keep your fingers crossed!! This would be really great!
SO, I have a Magical Express question (in case we get the tix). I am guessing you would have to let them know when you are arriving? What if you are flying standby? Any thoughts from my flying buddies?

No big Super Bowl plans here. We will watch it, but I really just like the commercials!

Abby - I am so excited for you!! Happy packing!! Have you been checking the weather?

The weather is looking like upper 60's for highs. For magical express you give them the flight number. They mail you vouchers. I would call them and explain and see what they suggest. I am so excited for you! I hope that it works out for you to fly down!

Burrrr........it is so cold outside here
It's going to be a high of 10 today, and a high of 3 tomorrow
The only time I'm going out is when we go to church tonight - outside of that, I'm staying in

Abby - I'm not sure of Christmas rates, Kevin always does that part of our trip. We went the first weekend of January, so I"m not sure if those rates are a little cheaper.

Abby - I hope ya'll have a wonderful vacation!!!! I am getting so excited here!!

Ok - so my exciting news - Sarah will be going to Disney with us!!! She will leave on Monday instead of Wednesday, but I am so excited to have her with us! Luckily, we haven't printed our matching shirts yet, so we can add her! We have never had matching shirts, but we will this trip. I am pretty excited about them!

I slept so good last night, it was hard to get up this morning

I watched the whole game last night, and it was to bad that the Bears lost I don't know anything about football, so I can't comment about the game. What I can comment on is how much I loved the Blockbuster commercial when the rabbit was using the real mouse, as a computer mouse - to funny!!!!


Karen - That's great news about Sarah!!!! How exciting and fun for all of you!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!

Abby - I hope you all have a magical time! Can't wait to hear all about it!

slo - I thought our weather was cold but it sounds like you have us topped. We're at 4 degrees this a.m. with a wind chill of about -15. The weatherman doesn't have a clue as to what he's doing. Thursday we were supposed to have a MAJOR snowstorm. We got three inches and the sun came out and melted it all within an hour or so. Friday we were only supposed to get a few flurries. I had gone off the mountain to get my CPAP machine and coming back up the mountain it was a white-out in two places. I ended up having to leave my van at the bottom of our road and have DH come get me because there was too much snow for my poor non-four-wheel-drive van to handle!

Idroveallnight - What great news about Sarah getting to go on vacation with you! You will have such a great time!!!

The news on our end is that DD is getting married May 19th! I can't believe how much there is to do! I'm a little on the fence as far as the excitement goes....she's only known him for 8 months but she says she's sure this is what she wants. She's really happy and he's really good to her so...

eeyoresmountainpal- Congratulations to your daughter! My mom felt the same way when dh and I wanted to get married. We wanted to get married on our one year anniversary of being together (which would have been May 23rd..lol) My mom said she wouldnt come to the wedding if we did. So we ended up agreeing to postpone it for one year. Now ten years later we are still together. Maybe if you sit down with her she will agree to wait? At the time I didnt want to wait but now it seems kinda unimportant. Best wishes to both of you no matter what is decided.

I was happy the colts won only because they have some Syracuse University alum on the team. Well no day off for me to get all the last minute things done. It was around 20 below with the wind chill this morning so no school for the kids. Today I have to finish packing and get the house clean. I cant stand to come home to a messy house. Just drives me nuts...lol Thanks for the Good Trip dust everyone. We are so excited. If I get a chance later to check in I will. Otherwise I will talk to you all on the 14th. We wont be able to get online while we are gone. The laptop gave me the dreaded blue screen last week and we havent even begone to shop for a new one. Everyone stay warm!
