slo - unfortunately Jim isn't in a hunting club & we don't own a bunch of land so he will have to schedule with some friends. One of his good friends (retired FF) has a house on a bunch of land. He will hopefully be able to schedule with him in the next week or so! My husband always wants to know why WDW won't develop some hunting program for all their deer! He'd go EVERY year then!! :rotfl: I have wondered how they control the deer population though. They must do something or they would be overrun. That is always one of our favorite activities on the monorail and buses - looking for wildlife!

Idroveallnight ~ We've got the land and the deer! We don't usually let anyone hunt on our land (about 35 acres) but if you came all the way up here we could make an exception! When is deer season anyway??

We have deer too!!!

We don't own a lot of land, but we do live next to a forest where our neighbors are the deer. Our neighbor, who is the hunter, has a hard time resisting to shoot them when they are so close to our house. But he refrains, because he knows that Stephanie would cry if he hurt one of them ;)

Good morning everyone!!! :flower:

eeyore - I can't remember where ya'll are exactly! DH is very curious about my computer friends now! :flower: Bow season starts in Oct. (opening day on my anniversary - always wondered how we managed to work that wedding in) and gun season starts later.

Back to work today! The kids head back to school tomorrow. I wish we could be home all the time. I prefer the relaxed morning routine. I guess they need that education though... :rotfl: My kids would rebel if they couldn't go to school. They enjoy it and do well.

Have a great day everyone!!

Idroveallnight ~ We're up in the mountains of western NC, the area is known as the "High Country!" We're about ten miles east of TN and about 20 miles south of VA up in the corner of the state.

It's so nice to hear that there are other kids out there who really like school and do well in it. My kids always have but usually if I say that to someone they look at me like I've got weird kids! :rotfl:

Good morning everyone!!!

Today is Stephanie's first day back at school :teacher: and she's not very happy about it. I wish she was like all your kids, and wanted to go to school, but she doesn't. She does well in school and loves her teacher and friends, she would just rather be home. That's kinda how I feel about work - I love my job and the people I work with, but I'd rather be home  .

Have a good day

my kids are back to school today! They always drag alittle the first morning back!

We bought a 2005 Toyta Camry last night! I like it so far - but of course we didn't leave the dealership until 9:30 pm - they don't make it a quick, easy experience. It will go back today to repaint the bumpers - they had some scratches. Then it will be back this afternoon. It's very similar diving to my Sienna - just lower!

Congrats on the new Camry!!! :cheer2: What color is it??

Dealerships can really be a pain and exhausting!! I really liked the Mazda dealership that we dealt with this year when we bought my MPV. The dealership was so family friendly, that Stephanie didn't want to leave. They had a flat panel TV with a remote so people could change the channel - so Stephanie watched Disney Channel. They had video games for kids to play in another part of the dealership, and they had all the coffee and fountain drinks you could drink. It was great there and the time flew by.

I guess you would call it champagne? It does have a sunroof & I haven't had one before. I am excited. I think I am having some adjustment issues. I just keep telling myself "you can be a good mother without a minivan"!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am excite because my mom(grannywishes) sent me a link to the Port Orleans thread so I am enjoying reading all about the resort! We stayed once when it was DL when James & Emi were still very small! I am so excited!!

Have a SUPER day evryone!! And remember - you can be a good mother without a minivan!! (Ithink - I hope - NO you can!)

Good morning and happy Friday!!! :cool1:

Idroveallnight - champagne is a great color for a car, it never shows the dirt :teeth: My first car was that color and when everyones car looked horrible in the winter, mine was never that bad ;) How are you enjoying that sunroof? I love mine!!! My last van had a video monitor on the ceiling so I couldn't have the sunroof, but I ditched the video monitor so I could have a sunroof again in this van (we never used the VCR).

This is very good advice :) - I'll remember this someday when I don't have a minivan anymore, which won't be for about 15yrs

I do like the sunroof - fresh air without blowing your hair all around!! :goodvibes
So are ya'll settled back into the school/work routine? We are getting there. I still have a bad schedule this month. I work ar least one day every weekend and have some all day and late night stuff. I also have my week of nights. This sounds bad, but I go to work at 5pm that week and work at night. Not too bad with my doc. I get to be home all day. I can pick the kids up from school. It's a nice change of pace. We also only do sick appointments. No checkups at night!

Have a great day - :wave2:

Happy Saturday! Well, last night wasn't too bad - out by 9:30. But it is a long day! Had a great day today! Slept in, big breakfast! I took Emily and some classmates to the library to work on a project. One of the other moms came, too. They are going to WDW at the same time so we talked disney! It was quite nice!! Then a big afternoon nap. DH was home all day! It has been so nice! The kids are enjoying being able to play with their friends since we decided to sit out basketball season. I hope evryone else had a wonderful day!!
I am so excited about our upcoming trip! I am ready for some pixie dust :wizard: and mouse magic ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo !

I have been reading about waking Tink. Emily wants to do this - but all the negative posts have me scared. What do ya'll think?

Good morning and happy Sunday!!! :sunny:

Kevin is trying to talk me into going out to breakfast this morning - the idea sounds great, but staying in my robe sounds better  We have some errands to run today, so I guess breakfasts sounds like a good way to start the day.

Is everyones X-Mas decorations down yet? I took everything down yesterday and Kevin and I put them up in the attic last night. I was very against putting things in the attic last night, but I'm really glad now that we did ::yes:: (Shh......we won't tell Kevin this though) ;)

Idroveallnight - It sounds like you did have a long Saturday, but it also sounds like a good Saturday ::yes:: . I have heard of waking Tink at WDW and the idea of it sounds great, but from what I read, parents are crazy trying to get their child to do it  . Plus, you have to be at the MK very early to be the first in the park so you can rush over to the store to do this, and we are never there that early. If we are going to the MK really early, it's because we have an early PS for the Crystal Palace and the park officially opens while we are eating. Waking Tink is something I doubt we will ever do. If you do try and have Emily do this, I'll be very curious to hear how it went - hopefully none of the crazy parents will be there that day

Well, I better go get ready for breakfast - have a good day!!!

slo - Good day!! I just got home from work! (again) Emily loves Tink and is very interested. We are early morning people! We even got to be the family that rides in on the train with Mickey to open the MK - way cool!!! We may give Tink a try, but I don't think I am willing to injure other people to do it! :rotfl:

I want to thank each and every fighter fighter AND family of!!! I can't express my graditude in words... but I will sya that they are they angels here on earth :goodvibes

Blessings to all of you!

I hope that waking Tink works out for you if you do it - I will live vicariously (sp?) through you - just make sure you take lots of pictures so I can see :flower:

Thank you for stopping by and saying that - how sweet of you!!!

slo - we must be dis-ing at the same time today! :disrocks: The house is quiet - no tv on & the kids are actually playing TOGETHER in the back! That is scary! I am enjoying reading trip reports, though! Some people do such a good job with the details & humor!

Happy Monday everyone!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Isn't that an oxymoron???Back to school for the kids. James is very grumpy this morning! Something about me telling him to use some lip balm because his lips are very chapped! I don't know - maybe it's just Monday morning! Hopefully he will perk up! :goodvibes

Stephanie gets like this too!!! In our house, I got attitude because I wanted Stephanie to comb her hair - apparently "bed head" is in style at her elementary school :rotfl:
