My baby is 9 years old today - where did the time go?????
She is so excited that today is not only her birthday, but also her family birthday party.
There's a million things to do today - clean up the house, pick up balloons, and pick up the cake.

We have Grandma's wake this afternoon and funeral Mass tomorrow. Jim and James have been at the fishing rodeo and will be home today. I had to buy James a new suit - he is going to be a "junior" pallbearer. New coat, new pants, new shoes (his last suit was from 1st Communion, 3 years ago) evrything - all purchased with me guessing it would fit. I really hope I'm not at the mall exchanging everything 1 hour before the wake!

The wake went smoothly yesterday. We all said the rosary together during the family time. The funeral Mass was today and it went well. The suit worked out just fine for James - no returns! I used Stitch Witchery to "hem" his pants until we can get them to a seamstress as I do not sew!!

I'm glad the funeral and wake went well. As hard as this time is for you and your family, it's nice that you all have each other (that's how I felt when my grandma passed away).

I'm glad James suit fit well enough for the wake and funeral.
I would have to take it to a seamstress too, because I also don't sew. I don't even own a sewing machine - I wouldn't know what to do with it if I had one

Well, the shower is calling - Stephanie has to be at daycare early for a field trip.

Good Morning!
The kids were very excited yesterday. I ordered some pins for them and they arrived yesterday, in plenty of time for their upcoming trip. The people were awesome and now the kids have some pins they will trade. They had reached the point that they love all their pins and didn't want to let them go. They will each keep a few from the new batch and then have 7 or 8 to trade. The price was super!! I can't believe they leave at the end of the week!!

We had a wake to attend last night and a funeral today - Jim's great Aunt Rose died right after my Grandmother. Hopefully this will be it for a long while!!
My mom is doing OK. She moved Grandma's dog, Angel, in with her & my Dad. Mom goes back to work today and then leaves for WDW this weekend with James and Emily. I guess I just worry that it's all too much and she needs some time, but I also wonder if it's not good to stay busy.

sandy - so what was the outcome with your other thread?

Has anyone done a fridge swap? I put in our November dates and now I'm just waiting to be sure they are available!

Karen - The outcome of that other thread is no one said I shouldn't go. So that gave me the extra push to go and not stay home. I even talked to my best customer about it, and he told me to go to. I decided to tell my customers that I'm going on a framing conference, and that way my abscense will look work related - I'm such a lyer
**I think it's good for your mom to be busy right now. I was glad that I was able to keep busy after my grandma passed so I had other things to think about. She's going to have so much fun in WDW with your kids - this will be good for her!!!

We had some huge storms last night.
The girls are going to be so tired, because they didn't sleep well at all, which means I didn't sleep well either We're all going to go to bed early tonight!!!


Karen - I'm feeling good about my decision I've prayed alot for guidance with this, and I feel God has guided me to take this vacation, because my family needs to come first

What a horribly slow day today!!!!!!!!!!!


Yesterday was slow too, but at least I had one customer


I did take advantage of the slowness though and do something I've been wanting to do for 2 years now - print out my vacation photos. I haven't done this yet for my 2005 and 2006 WDW trips, and I finally did it I picked up 2005 yesterday and put it in the WDW 2005 photo album last night, and then today I will pick up 2006 on the way home and put those in the WDW 2006 photo album It feels so good to have this done!!!


We are getting a new addition to our family today - a saltwater aquarium Kevin has been wanting one for a long time now, and he finally got it. The store he bought it from is coming tonight and installing everything, including the fish. It will be quite cool when it's done, and we'll even have our own

.

Good morning (2am). Just about to wake Emily and James for our first trek without Karen and Sarah. Emily is "fired up" (pun intended) and I am so glad. Thanks for the support regarding my mother. I expect to cry a bit but have prepared the troops. I rely so much on Karen and Sarah when we travel. Thank God Emily and James are "Disney babies". Hopefully when we return we will have pictures of ourselves blowing kisses from our oevrnight stay in the Castle. Hey, even Granny's have wishes.

I'm not working today!!!!

I'm leaving my employee all day by herself, because we are going to Pierogi Fest (this is something we go to every year). We have a nice cooler day for it - I'm so excited!!!!


Then tonight I'm going to my DIS friends house for a home party. It'll be nice, and I'm looking forward to seeing her and a couple other DISers. Stephanie is really excited because she has a DD her age, and they get alone wonderfully!!!!

***You never have to give thanks for support - we are always here for you!!! You will definitly cry for awhile, my mom and I still do, and my Grandma's been gone now for a little over a year. Many hugs to you!!
***Have fun in WDW with the kids - it's good that you have this trip to keep your mind off your mom. Kids have a wonderful way of cheering you up when you least expect it

We had our last "official" day of registration at the park yesterday and the last big workday, so we had a covered dish supper last night. That was pretty fun. I have a meeting at the park today with my cheer coaches and then practice starts tomorrow!
