I am considering a DVC purchase and I was hoping that someone might have some insight on the following questions:

- Anyone know what Beach Club was originally being sold for? Resales appear to average $89-$90 per point and I would like to get an idea on how the price has changed over time.

- Does any one have any good or bad experience booking during magic season at the Beach Club if that is not your home resort?

- I intend to sell my DVC membership in about 15 years when the kids are in college. My thought was to purchase points at Saratoga since they have the longest term, and would be easier to sell in 15 years. I am just concerned that no one will pay close to $90 per point for a Beach Club membership than has only 20 years left. Any thoughts?

- Any CPA's out there? Are you able to deduct the real estate taxes and any other expenses on your tax return?

- Has anyone used the Concierge Collection? Some of the properties look very nice. How do the accomodations compare to the 1 and 2 bedroom villas at Disney? Is it easy to book a reservation?

- I would appreciate any other thoughts you have on purchasing a DVC memnership.

Thanks for your help.

sent you a PM. Bob

If you go with the current SSR promtion, the deadline is Wednesday, 2/1/06. The 15% discount, extra (2005) points and the extra 12 years closed the deal for us....... :)

We are thinking of buying too, We went to DVC at DL, and all I kept hearing was $98. I keep hearing less on this. What do I need to by Wednesday? Are you still glad you did it? Would you do it again? Is it worth it for yinest Coasters? I really wouldn't mind the Beach or Boardwalk, but they told us they are all sold out, and so we had to do Saratoga Springs. I don't spend much time at Downtown Disney, but I love Epcot resorts, how do we get those, or is it really too late? Trying to decide if it is really worth it. We only vacation Disney ususally, but ???? Too many questions?? And friends and family rates??? They never mentioned anything about that at our meeting??? Help please...

Hi,

You can still buy BCV or BWV via the resale market, and if you "push" your DVC rep, you will be able to get BWV directly from DVC...just tell them that you KNOW you can. They ALWAYS have BWV points. BCV points are on a really long waitlist for every month...the only way to get BCV points are thru the resale market.

The friends and family rate expires tomorrow or Wednesday. It is good only for SSR. All you need to do is give the DVC rep someone's name who is a member, and they will put them down as your reference. I would be happy to be a reference for you...I will send you a pm.

There are advantages to owning at the epcot area resorts (like always knowing you will be able to stay there), and there are advantages to owning at SSR (longer contracts, lower points per night). You just need to decide where you want to buy. Unfortunately, you do not have too long if you want to get in on the "friends and family" deal.

Please pm me if you have any more questions!!

Minniemoms,
The best deal is at SSR resort. With the friends and Family deal at 15% off is $83.30 per point instead of $98. You can buy the other resorts through a reseller or from Disney, when they become available. If you go to a reseller, Disney can match the offer price(ROFR) and you need to start over again with another seller. They also have a closing cost, which buying from Disney does not. You can buy at SSR and still stay at the other DVC rsorts if you book at 7 months out. I have done this for OKW and BCV before with out a problem. I sent you a PM with more information.
