Calling all DH's

I'm the sick, obsessed planner.

And yes, I'm the husband. Funny thing is - like a few others, my wife was the one who suggested we go the first time. :)

Count me in as well!!! I do the planning, order the books, keep up with the latest news and gossip and spend who knows how much time here....:thumbsup2

I am also the one in the family that does all the planning. The plane tickets, car rental, ADR's, etc.
But I love it!!! Making the plans and surprising my daughters with something special is half the fun!

I'm with you brother. DW makes fun of me for the amount of time I spend reading these boards and the efforts I put in planning our trips.

I am in the same boat! DW was not fully on board when we joined DVC ('Won't the kids get sick of it?')

Now she admits it was a good move, when the kids point out any WDW sighting on a TV show and ask when we are going back.

Addicted DH, planning our first trip.

We leave in 4 days and it can't get here quick enough. I just want everything to go perfect.

DW is great mom, beautiful woman, heck of a cook. Just a little scatter brained if you know what I mean...:goodvibes

I spend way too much time on the site, but I know it will pay off this weekend.

Here I am...another DH who is obsessed with WDW, planning and just reading almost every thread on DISboards:surfweb:
Whenever I mention to DW about something thats interesting or going on...she says " did your Disney friends on the web tell you that one!!";)

I'm a "DH" and we are heading down in 3 weeks with our 2 kids.

For the most part, we do the plannig together....but I'm probably the bigger planner of the two.

Another DH here.

I had been to WDW when my parents took me when I was young. Hadn't been back until a few years back when my wife and I went for a work conference. We had one of our best vacations ever, and when our daughter was old enough to go, we've been back just about every year since.

I do most of the planning and research, but my wife is definitely into it, and she usually makes the dining reservations and does all of the packing.

We hit the road for our first stay at a DVC resort (renting points, haven't taken the plunge ourselves yet) in a few weeks, and we can't wait.

Andy

I'm not sure my wife would know how to plan for a Disney trip - or any of our other vacations for that matter.

DH here also. I'm the one that finds the neat little things to do in the world.

I wear the Ears in my house. I ask DW for input she justs says where ever you want to go is good by me. :)

Guilty as charged!! :thumbsup2 I take full responsibility for my "Disney Obsessive Compulsive Disorder"! :lmao: I do all the planning, re-planning and then plan again. I get our itinerary figured out then change it 20 more times before we go. I make lists for everything and have most of it packed at least a week before we go….I’m a man…I’m not supposed to acting like this. Truth is, I run our business from home and my wife works for the county, so it’s been a force of nature.

My wife can't even find her way around Lexington, KY, let alone plan a trip to Disney. I am part of the club.

Maybe a Men's only board would be a good idea for us to hang out, maybe talk sports, and so forth.

Hello to the poster from Canton-I lived there for 30 years until the lack of jobs chased us out of town.

I'm also the vacation planner in our family. My DW appreciates all the effort I put into it when we're at WDW, but when I'm on disboards at home she's not so thrilled.:confused3

We both are WDW fans, but DW isn't much of a forums cruiser. I suppose she tells me when I and book and plan most of the our vacations. Of course, when it was a trip to Italy earlier this year, she had to plan every day of it. Whenever I see lime green at WDW, I always fight the urge to walk up and ask if they are DISers.

Another DH here...Got hooked on the planning of our vacation this past year, so much so I almost enjoyed it more than our actual trip! DW loves Disney but doesn't do any of the big rides, while I love all the rides at Disney. The kids are away at school now so it's a bit of an empty nest and being a disney fanatic has helped fill the time. Now I've planned another trip for just me and DW for 3 days at the end of Nov, beginning of Dec.

While we're all DisNuts in my household, I (like many here) wear the "ears" in my family. And, I'm certainly not ashamed to admit it.
