Walking to the Magic Kingdom, seeing the Monorail go by, ridding the Monorail anytime I want, the amaizing shops, friendly Cast Members, the Magic Kingdom View from the Tower rooms, Chef Mickey's, Concourse Steakhouse, California Grill, Food & Fun Center and the Atrium Club Level floor.
The Bay View Gifts store (B.V.G.) is staying where it is and as of right now in the middle of the 4th floor, they are building a brand new store that is going to replace the old Fantasia store. I have a picture of it and others from the Contemporary which I will be posting sometime on Sunday once my family and I arrive back home to Toronto. Will the gift shops be affected by the changes going on at CR?
Every tower room has a fireworks view. Not to worry !
The best thing to do if you are staying in a Tower Bay Lake View and want to watch Wishes, is to go to the 4th floor observation deck and see them from there.sorry but they don't.
the lake side view - Bay lake does not look out on the MK so no fireworks.
You do get a view of EWP but no fireworks.
the front side (can be the parking lot) and Seven Seas Lagoon are the MK view.
The Contemporary holds alot of memories for us. Our first stay was there in 1077, always north garden wing, sad that its gone now, and we've stayed there many a time. Our 39th trip is in 19 more days and through the years we've graduated to try other resorts. We like the convenience of a monorail resort but through the years, its outpriced itself. We did have some stays at the Poly in the past but again, price wise we feel its not worth it. Our favorite now is WL, ammenities galore, deluxe, off the beaten path but still only a boat ride away from monorail access. We visit CR alot and are going to have a reunion trip when we get a super discount off rack. With the changes through the years, most not to our liking, moving gameroom, cutting size down of same, removing the movie theatre from the gameroom, changing the restarants, we used to love the Pueblo Room and not too keen on their pool, hunk of concrete out in the open, not much themeing there but its unique A frame and monorail running through it, plus the walk to the MK is fantastic, can't help but to like the resort, just don't care for the price, in the late 70's early 80's, rack rate was 75 bucks a night, big money then.
Im 19 days away too! And I'm at the CR MK view! We will be n our honeymoon too. So I'm glad to know that we made the right choice to stay on the MK view side!
