Calling all Chicago DISers #3

Stephanie's Prom
(It's hard to believe she's the same little girl in my signature. Time goes to fast)

So very, very pretty, Sandy. Stephanie sure has grown up. And yes, time goes WAY to fast.

Nice to see you Kirsten, Nicole, Susan, Mac, along with a few new 'faces' I have not met before.

Thanks Mac....here they are:goodvibes

She needs to do the Disney College Program, because she would be the most awesome Princess. I'm not just saying that because we love Disney in our house, I'm saying that because she really would. She's beautiful, she loves to sing and dance, she loves little children, she loves being the center of attention (in a positive way), she's just perfect to be a Disney Princess.

I'll be heading downtown for a convention tomorrow. Tomorrow night is an architectural boat cruise, always a fun time.

I'm in charge of the tours for the spouses, and am hoping the weather cooperates. Friday morning is s trolley tour with the Chicago Architecture Foundation, followed by lunch at Giordano's. Then we'll go to Graceland Cemetery for a 2-hr walking tour, also with the CAF. Saturday morning we go to the Field Museum, have w docent led tour scheduled. Lunch is still up in the air, thinking either Ed Debevics or Portillos.

All I have to say about Ed Debevic's moving is Boooooo!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so not happy about this.
I have so many great memories at that restaurant.
Kevin and I went their the night of our senior prom (we were with my best girlfriend who has since passed away). We've taken our kids there, and they love it.
Yep....not happy!!!!:sad::sad1::sad2::sad::sad1::sad2::sad::sad1::sad2:

I actually had typed up a whole post about it, but this new board software is horrid to use on an iPhone. I click the post button and more often than not, it will take me to another page rather than posting. Today, it decided to delete most of my post and truncate it half way through the first sentence. I try very hard to not reply to most posts because it's so difficult.

I am glad we are posting again. Glad to see old faces here. We are busy remodeling my house and getting ready for the wedding. Alex has finished his sophomore year in college. Boy does time fly. Sandy seeing your girls on FB so grown up and pretty. I remember when Katie was so small at our meets.

I wanted to take a moment to say

:flower1:HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!:flower1:

To all our Chicago DIS mothers
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a wonderful day on Sunday.

I hope you all had a Happy Mother's Day.
Stephanie's boyfriend broke up with her on Saturday, so needless to say, my Mother's Day wasn't very joyful - I wiped a lot of tears in the last 72 hours.

Poor Stephanie, how is she doing now?

My tours went great, I'm happy I went with what I did. If you ever get the chance to do some tours through the Chicago Architecture Foundation, do it!! I really loved the Graceland Cemetery tour, it is so much more than just a cemetery.

Hi Chicago DISers! I don't know if I have signed into this board or not before, so I am signing on now. Does anyone have local meets ups, just to hang out? :tigger::goofy:

Piglet - she's not doing well. The dress wasn't even at the drycleaners yet, and he already broke up with her. She's having a really bad week (thank you for asking)
*I'm glad your tours went well. I love touring cemetary's - I think they're interesting

chipndaleluver - welcome!!! We used to DIS meets and haven't in a really long time.
We should do them again sometime.

Whoa.....where am I?! I keep dropping off the face of the earth and then coming back for a bit. Is there a more updated thread or have the Chi-Disers just disbanded or banded elsewhere???

maybe they are up to their necks in snow.......

i don't know.
i moved out of chicagoland 2 months ago and went south.

good to see you michelle!
