Mac, hope your parents are doing better now. Thoughts and prayers going out to you.Being in the middle with older parents on one side and children on the other is not the most stress-free place to be. So remember to take some time for yourself, too.

Geffric, hello there. Sounds as if you are keeping yourself busy enough.
Kim, I do hope your mom can finally get some answers and you all can have some peace of mind. Why is it that not all hospitals can find what a place like Mayo can find?
On a fun note, I received a 40% off card in the mail yesterday.What do you suppose one should do with that?!Oh, yeah!!! New ticker coming up shortly!!!

I stepped down as the "lead" at Disney, just too much stress and not making my numbers on a regular basis. We have a new manager now, and I wish I had toughed it out until she came on, I really think it would have made a difference.

Kim - I hope Mayo finds the problem and can help her.. it is strange that after all this time that the drs here have no clue..can you move your trip to another week so you can go with peace of mind???

Can't switch, becuase of airfare. I could just let it go, the whole trip, but Mom said NO! "WHY would you NOT go?" was her question to me 2 visits ago. Gee Mom, because you're IN the hospital Again?! NOW, 2 of her Drs are talking about the University of Chicago hospital, before Mayo - WHY???

Hi. You know that saying two steps forward four steps back, or whatever. Well, here we go again. Just as I was feeling great and so happy the rug is pulled out from under me.

The daughter of the older gentlemen who died and left the house backed out on her word. She said she would take off the price of a new roof and then when she found out how expensive the roof would be said no.

She claims she and her SIL will make all the improvements and repairs needed for the house and then raise the price way more than is normal for the area. That house will be sitting there for years and years now. We were willing to do and pay out of pocket for all of the repairs,cleaning, so on except the roof.She is such a greedy, stupid, dishonest witch.

Now we are back to square one with our house up on the market. No house to look forward to moving into. Sure hope another pops up out there in time for us whenever this house sells. Was so looking forward to moving out there in a couple of weeks. Now I just hope our money holds out or maybe we can find some kind of job temporarily until the house sells. We will see.

Thanks Kim. We want to buy a home in Carrier Mills, IL . The house I was talking about is/was across the street from my cousin. Carrier Mills is way into southern Illinois. 10 minutes from Harrisburg not to terribly far from Carbondale so on. Technically it is a village which consists of less than 2000 people. It's downtown is about 2 to 2 blocks. The entire village only spreads out to about 10 to 12 blocks. My cousin was teasing me and said I should have no fear at all about getting lost if I stick within the villages boundaries.

As I said the people there are so nice. It is like one big happy family where everyone knows each other. There is more churches in the village than stores. There is one gas station, one hair shop, one restaurant, one small fast food bar b q place one little store like a 7-11. One high school, one grade school. Get the idea? Plenty of farmers and farmland.Just two or three blocks from my cousin's house starts outside the city limits where you can have an actual farm where you can raise farm animals. My cousin is friends with a farmer and he is letting them keep their animals that they bought on his farm. So far she has two pot bellied pigs. one very pregnant (by the farmer's miniature horse that got loose) miniature horse and one or two goats. Not sure about the goats.


Not sure what posses me to do so but I googled the woman only to find out that she is doing alright for herself. She is a published author and she lives on a Lane which is named after her DH's family name. Not sure what she does besides writing but she works at a school out in her area. Not sure if she is a teacher, or what? She is 69 yrs old so technically could be retired but loves money so much I guess refuses to give up on making more and more. Her SIL had nothing special to read up on about her. She also is in her late 60's. Like I said do not know why I cared enough to look them up? Just curious I guess.

For now I just have to wait and see if someone buys our house and if something else opens up out there meanwhile. All the while be extra extra careful how much more money goes out and chances are cash in some of my retirement money while I look for a job around here to hold us. Do not want to take a chance of DH getting overstressed here so I will let him stay home and deal with keeping up with the cleaning so on. The house is suppose to look like a model home according the our Realtor.

Oh well. Better run along and do some more packing and cleaning. Then Monday go out to fill out some applications. Have a good day everyone.

Thanks Donna! We're still quite amazed at Kelly's JUMP of 2 Freestyle levels. She was tested by the Head of the rink tho! And, my cousin's wife has been a skating coach for 15 years and she doesn't remember ANYONE she taught passing 2 FS levels! Lower levels yes, not FS tho! Thanks for appreciating the news!

Thanks also for asking about Mom. She went home late Thursday, after having 4 more repeat tests done - endoscopy, MRI, CT and I think a thyroid test. She was sent home drugged (sedated) and compliant, again. I talked with her Friday morning, but I think I got too aggressive with her about her treatment (or lack thereof), and she hung up on me. I haven't heard anything since.

Good morning everyone.
Kim- haven't asked about you mom lately. Sorry. Been kind of selfish only worrying about our problems.

Sorry guys having problems rooting for the Hawks since the owner of them is the owner of the company where my DH worked. Busted his chops and did not give much back in return.Rocky take take takes and leaves you with nothing to show for your hard work.

Note to self- get back into your positive mood.

Open House went well I guess. 12 brokers with one claiming they may have a client who would be interested in our house. All agreed the house was priced well. (should be since it is priced much lower than the house is worth) all said it was very clean and kept up well. Plus well organized??

Only one said they could smell we had cats. Several mentioned they were surprised to see one of our cats running around since they did not smell the evidence of cats living here?? Not sure why one did and the rest did not??

Hoping a house comes up for sale with the option of renting to buy out there. That is our only chance of getting out there soon either that or the house sells soon. With no one looking not sure what the chances are of that though. My cousin claims there are a few that just opened up and are for sale. She says she will look into it and see if the owners are interested in renting with option as long as it is something she thinks we might like. Crossing fingers and saying loads of prayers. He is helped us so far so I have faith He will continue. (shhhh- don't tattle that I brought that up- I know no religion.)
