Kim I'm so sorry to hear what your mom is going through. Hugs for you and your mom, and the family :grouphug: I hope they can find some kind of solution to help her.

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: this weekend was our wedding shower. my sisters and mike's mom really went above and beyond. they really made it special for us. also, we saw Alice in Wonderland last night. LOVED it. I was expecting it to be really creepy b/c well, it's Tim Burton but it wasn't. Mike enjoyed it too even though he is quite under the weather at the moment. We had a slight fiasco with our tuxes last week. mike's dad went to get fitted and they charged him $50 more than what they quoted us. Then they said we couldn't pick them up on the friday before and drop them off on Wednesday liked we originally had agreed on with them. the place was just not worth the stress. so mike's dad called and canceled his order and got his money back. mike is arranging to get the tuxes from a place in orlando that delivers and picks up. i already have an appointment to ship my dress to them to get it steamed and delivered so we will just add the tuxes to that order. the vests won't match perfectly but oh well. we really don't care all that much! i would just have a better state of mind knowing the tuxes are going to be there. what else is new... hmmm that's about it for now. we've just been full speed ahead with this wedding. we leave in 5 weeks 3 days. so what is that. 38 days? holy smokes!!!

Kim ~ still keeping you and fam in my prayers.

Morning all! Phew, busy weekend! Not looking forward to the gray rainy week they're forecasting but at least it will wash away all the snow that I've had enough of!

Kim - keeping your mom in my prayers, hope the MDs can figure it all out quickly and that she'll be on the mend soon.

disneygal - congrats on the shower, I was at one this weekend too!
*That's too bad about the problem with the tuxes but it sounds like you've found a good solution!
**We too love LTT, haven't been though since they got rid of the characters. The parade goes directly by the restaurant.

disneynut - as Kim said there are fridge swaps on the boards for the values so I'm sure you'd have no problem bringing your own. Have a great trip!

:wave2: to everyone else!

Well, heading out to hit the bank and then do a bit of shopping. DS desperately needs new gym shoes and need to pick up DD8s supplies for her dance competition. Hope everyone has a great day! :flower3:

Thanks again, ALL!! :goodvibes Mom's room was changed today, because she doesn't need her heart monitored anymore. The problem was never her heart anyway. :rolleyes1 She's having another colonoscopy tomorrow because the Drs are baffled as to why she isn't responding at all. Her BP remains high, but that's because they took her off the med. Still NO FOOD!

Good Morning all!

It is so nice to look outside and see more green then white...I am so ready for summer!

Kim, good news on your mom. I will keep her in my prayers.

Thank you for the info on the fridge. This will save us a ton of money. We can eat more in the room.

Well, I have to head off to work..Have a great day all!

It feels like I haven't been on in quite a while...

Kim - please keep us posted about Mom. She and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I hope everyone is enjoying the prelude to spring! Had to beg the kids to wear jackets this morning, even with the rain! :rotfl: They're as ready for warmer weather as I am!

Best wishes everyone!

Hi guys! It feels like Friday, oh how I wish!!

Had a dentist appt this morning, they were almost 2hrs behind schedule and my appt was at 8:45a! They had 3 emergency patients.

DD8 had brownies after school and then dress rehearsal for her dance comp. They were all so cute in their costumes! Her comp is the 20th at Crystal Lake H.S. She's got a roller skating bday party the day before the comp, very nervous about that but DH thought I was crazy when I told him I was considering keeping her home from the party. :rolleyes1 Keeping everything crossed that she won't hurt anything!

nashtag - LOVING the weather! We broke out the spring jackets the other day. So happy all that yucky snow is gone!

Kim - so glad to hear about your mom, hoping it's going better now.

Disneynut - I too love that all the snow is gone - bring on summer!!

:wave2: to everyone else!

On our way home from HHI we're visiting DHs cousin in Charlotte. Want to bring them a hostess gift, anyone have any uniquely Chicago ideas?

Ugh, DD8 is trying to get her make-up off herself. Have to run and help and get these kiddos into bed!! Have a great night all! pirate:

irishdancer - good luck with the competition! As for hostess gifts, how about Eli's Cheesecake? Isn't that a local thing? I don't know how it'll do in transport. Maybe they ship? Are they sports fans? Maybe something from one of the local pro or college teams?

Have a good time!

Kim - please keep us posted about Mom. She and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you! She was put on a liquid diet finally, and then even that was restricted! They were supposed to try and re-introduce BROTH at dinner tonight. :sad2: They drew blood to test for celiac disease (gluten intolerance). Dr. Mom says no way she has that. :rolleyes1

I soooo hear ya on getting hurt right before a comp! Or, sick! Kelly has 2 comps on Sat., and she's been coughing on and off - sorta like last time, maybe it's a good thing she's under the weather (not), since she did so well last time. J/k really. Hope it all goes well for your DD! :thumbsup2

Thanks about Mom, also. We're hoping there's bigger, positive steps - soon!

That's tough - on the way HOME - like natasha said, the transport and all. Eli's is a good idea tho, so is any unique food chain - Uno's, Lou Malnati's, Portillo's, I think they all ship. Good luck with that! ;)

Hi everyone. So much rain. Storms , so on. :headache: oh well.
Kim- continued good thoughts and prayers out your way for your mom. My dad also is in the hospital. He collapsed and was unresponsive. They said maybe it was a stroke. They are taking a million tests to try to figure out why it happened and what is wrong. Guess this is the year of making the hospitals in our area rich huh??

ID- sending good wishes for good luck to DD. Both of my DD's took dance lessons but neither ever competed. Just recitals. Each took ballet and tap and neither one use what they were taught.:confused3

Really not much going on here. Oh well. Hope everyone is well and safe. Have a great day everyone.

Thanks Susan, but you underestimate ALL you are doing! Quite a task! God Bless you!

Hospitals aren't as rich as the insurance companies, imho. ONE of my Mom's liquid IV feeding bag for 1 day, costs $2,000!! She had 2 of them - she's off of them now tho! She left 1/2 a bag, $1,000 just hanging there. What happens to that? :confused3 Such waste and overcharging. :headache:
