Toy Story Mania for Wii which has already been played for hours to the point of injury.

Since he is not doing well I talked him into ECT. I pray I made the right decision. It is scheduled for Wednesday. Nothing else seems to be helping.

That sounds awful Susan. Is he really that bad? Do you or DH have any family to help you through this difficult time? I can not even begin to imagine what you're dealing with. Prayers.

Thank you. Both sides of the family more or less are there to listen on the phone that is about it. I know it is a lot to dump on a 15 year old but it is technically DD and me. She has been a life saver with the snow and a great shoulder to cry on when I am frightened. Funny, I always thought it was suppose to be the other way around. I was always the shoulder to cry on.

She is also great for a hug when needed too. I keep you all for the ear that I need. I try not to dump that on her. She really is a great help and a great young lady. Can't say that enough!

Today we will "stay put" for some us time, tomorrow we will go out to see him and give him some encouragement since the following day is his treatment. I am so dreading Wednesday. I told him I would be there for him that day. I sure hope the weather cooperates with me.

Learned a lovely Chicago winter lesson, despite having lived in Chicago my whole life: don't wear Converse into the city in the winter. Not only did my feet freeze from the cold but they were soaked through.

Stitchfans-I hope everything went well with your DH treatment. I've got something for your daughter (so I hope she doesn't see this). If you could PM me your address so I could send it over, I promise I won't stalk you guys. =)

We added injury to injury earlier - we went ice skating - in real life! TRY THAT on Wii!

DD and I got there at 6:15 as planned. By 7:40 they wheel him past us and stop long enough for us to hug and kiss him. At 8:40 they wheel him past us again so again we can hug and kiss him. I quickly asked him how he felt and he said he had a headache which is normal from what I read. As he was wheeled away I said love you and he was through the door. All that time and we saw him maybe a total of 30 seconds. At least I know he made it through it and he is okay I guess. Next one from what I understand is Friday. Will have to double check since it is New Year's Day.

I'm frantically trying to catch up with my life after Christmas
I didn't sit at my desk once since 12/12, so I'm catching up with store paperwork/bills, and home paperwork/bills. I've been doing this since Monday morning. I'm pretty much caught up now, which is awesome!!!!

Outside of sitting at my desk, things have been very low key here at work, and at home. I'm really loving the girls being on break, and wish it wasn't going to be over on Monday.

Our Christmas was really great!!!
No one was sick, and we just had a great time!!!!!
The girls received alot of great gifts, of which, they've been playing with alot.

Monday was Kevin's bday, and we are celebrating today
Family and some friends are coming over for dinner - so that should be nice
We normally do this on New Years, but we aren't having a New Years party this year, because we are going to a friends house - which will be tons of fun!!!!!

Speaking of New Years - what are you all doing?

Matt's 22nd! BD is NYE, and he's selected dinner and a movie at some fancy movie theater in Woodridge. Free movie passes, but dinner's on US I guess! Party of 6, so far.

Kim You must mean Hollywood Blvd theaters. We've been there several times over the years. Food and drinks are pricey. Chairs are comfy though!!! Kinda like recliners. A suggestion...if there is anything you think you might need, ask your server for it the first time you see them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They may not be back for quite some time!!! And it's not fancy at all!!


And happy b-day to Matt!!!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!
I'm a night owl so its basically 2am and its New Year's Eve. Yah I'll probably sleep through NYE though because it's been a few nights straight of 2 or 3am bed times for me =) I've got work tomorrow, closing the store and then I'll probably go over to my friend's house to spend the night there.

KimRaye Heheh well I used to be a figure skater and my little brother used to play high level hockey so the ice is nothing to us heheh. But yes I do know how it feels after your first time ice skating, or the day after 3 straight days of performances in the show where you are in 3 different numbers.
My friends and I go to Hollywood Blvd sometimes. I think last time we all had a menu item and water and paid about $10 each? But that was with no apps, no paid drink, and no dessert. Pretty good food though =)

since Friday is New Year's Day they are doing the next treatment this morning. Maybe right now as I am typing this. DH said it is stupid for us to get up so early and sit around so many hours for only a few seconds of being able to see him. Yet here I am up and worrying. I want this to be all over with. I want our lives back to normal.

Thanks Nicole. Yes, it was Hollywood Palms I believe that we went to, in Naperville, I think. I was not impressed. We were early, got our seats, and the place went near dark within minutes! I hadn't even looked at the menu very long. And the movie started and I didn't even notice (thought it was trailers), and I still couldn't see my menu. I never got comfortable either. I was cold the whole time. They brought everyone's meal one...at...a...time, with Matt's being last, of course. The food was hot, but got cold really fast, because like I said, it was cold in there. I guess I'm a fuddy duddy - I like to SEE what I'm eating! It's kinda like Sci-Fi, and I thought THAT was dark, but at least they had lights at your eating area. Oh well, live and learn.

You were a skater, huh? How good? Kelly is starting to get 'involved' now. She's in Delta but should be FS1, but patience. Now I'm looking into $400-$600 skates tho!!! That's INSANE!

Yes, I think you can do Hollywood Blvd/Palms for $10 each plus your ticket, of course. We had free tickets, and the 6 of us ate/drank (no alcohol) for $100 (pretty good), and tip was automatically included with a party of 6. I guess I can say I've been there now.

Another year here and gone. Some of 2009 was good but went out with a sad ending. Looks like 2010 isn't starting out all that great either. Here's hoping for a brighter 2010!

Now off to shovel snow that I ignored from the other day and hoping no more comes so we can go see DH tomorrow at the hospital. 3rd treatment Monday. 4th on Wednesday and they claim that is when there should be somewhat of a difference. Sure hope so. Not sure how many he will receive but whatever it takes so be it. Just got the bill for just the 3 days in Intensive Care. Over eleven thousand! yes insurance paid some but the other bills will start soon I bet.

Guess they plan on separating them all so emergency room one will be here soon and then the rest. Ambulance was over a grand but am waiting to see how much the insurance will pay of that. Then when he is discharged he has the outpatient program to go through for who knows how long. Here comes the fun and he isn't even out yet. Not sure how much longer either. Oh well..... my only worry is him getting better.

The way I am looking at it is the bills aren't going anywhere and neither am I so when they get paid off they get paid off. At least with these bills there isn't any interest tacked on.

Stitch I hope 2010 is kinder to you and your family. I think we are ok snow wise for the next couple of days we are just going to be cold.

I hope everyones New Years was a safe one. We stayed home and watched movies. I tried to stay awake I made it to the NY New Years and passed out shortly after. It doesn't help that I get up at 5:00am.

I crashed early-ish last night. I was too pooped to pop! My kids stayed up with their dad later than I did!!



Kim I have never heard of the Hollywood Palms in Naperville. But it sounds just like Hollywood Blvd. Theater which is in Woodridge off of 75th St. and Lemont Rd. I hope, at least, Matt enjoyed his night out with everyone. I hate when theaters are overly cold!!

Same owner. They have two locations now. The new location is themed really cool. Big waterfall inside with palm trees and stuff. Makes me think a bit like a cross between the Poly and thye great movie ride. Same setup and food as the other.
