I'm still not feeling 100% - I hate not feeling good

Now I need to vent about something.......
I have ocular rosacea, so I can't drink alcohol, because if I do, than my eye(s) will look like pink eye the next day. I was diagnosed with this in 2005, and I haven't had alcohol since. 2 nights ago I took some Nyquil, to help me sleep, and yesterday my mom says to me, "Your eye is red in the corner." I instantly knew it was from the Nyquil. Kevin has told me for awhile that he's surprised that I can take that, and have it not affect my eyes. By last night, my eye was really goopy, and I didn't sleep well last night, because I was worried about it getting so goopy, that I wouldn't be able to open my eyelid. So, I can't take Nyquil now, which really upsets me, because I love the stuff!!!! That's my personal vent for today - sorry!!!!


momto1 - How did Jon do with the basketball tryouts? When does he find out if he made the team? Keep us posted.

erika - I'm sorry about Staples messing up your books I"m glad you are still able to use them.

Mac and piglet -

paint - I"m glad your sisters surgery went well. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery.

Bunchkin - I do need to drink more water I've been really bad about this lately, and I don't know why. When it comes to rest - I've been going to bed a little earlier, but I don't know if that helps. I wish I could have a day where I sit in front of the tv all day - I would love that!!!!!

Kim - Did you do anything special for your bday?

Well, I need to go get ready for work.
I'm starting to go to work early on Thursdays, since I leave a little earlier (my employee comes in at 3:30pm). New business has been really bad, but I still have old orders to do. After these orders are done, I'm going to be pretty bored, so I better start getting some Christmas business now!!!!!

My sinuses are killing me, and I'm hoping I'm not getting a sinuses infection.
I'm taking the "good" Sudafed, do keep me decongested - I hope that helps.
I just hate having a yucky feeling


Mac - Thanks! I should have worn sunglasses yesterday, because I look terrible when I'm not wearing any makeup. I don't think I'm going to wear any makeup today either, to give my eyes some more rest.

Getting ready to have another garage sale at my FIL's house this weekend. Luckily, the last one we were out of town for DD's b-day and the SIL came to town and handled that garage sale.

I'm hoping DS does well on his spelling test today. This weeks word list was filled with homonyms!!! Are they trying to confuse these kids or what?



slo I hope you feel better soon. I know that when I was sick a couple weeks ago, I thought I'd never get better. Are you taking any Mucinex? My doctor always recommends that when my sinuses are a mess, and lots of liquids too.

well Geoff came home last night for the weekend..( yeah).. he looks great, is adjusting to college and his classes and the dorm.. he has tales of parties

and other college stuff.. so I guess he is adjusting.. LOL..

so today it is raining, he is sleeping and I am doing his laundry.. hasn't done it since he left?? OOOOO it smells gross..

big thing today is the football game tonight.it is the FOX game of the week... hope it stops raining. BRRRR, it will be cold..

My cough syrup with codeine was such a blessing last night. I was so glad that I still have almost a full bottle If I didn't have that, I would have kept the whole house up last night I'm so tired of feeling like this!!!!!!

I never thought of Mucinex. I've been taking Sudafed Cough and Cold (the good stuff behind the counter). I've been very concerned about keeping myself decongested, because I don't want to have this turn into a sinus infection. My sinuses are so painful, that when I bend to pick something off the floor, it's a flood of pain to my forehead - I hate that!!!!!! Does Mucinex have the pseudod.....stuff in it?? The new stuff doesn't work for me

Slo Sorry you are still hanging on to that cold. Alex seems to like his cough too. He keeps asking if I think he has the swine flu. Poor kid I think I need to put him in a bubble.

Bunch How did the garage sale go? Was he able to sell alot?

Geffric Glad college life is agreeing with Geoff. The first year can be tough.

I had to buy a new vacuum yesterday. My old one died. I bought a Shark upright bagless. I used it last night for the downstairs, so far I really like it. It lighter than my old one quieter.

Wow! Birthdays, birthdays everywhere! Hope they were all wonderful!

My sister is getting out of the hospital today. It is crazythe things they can do to you and then send you home! She is feeling lots better, though, having all of the tubes and IVs out and ready to be in her own bed. We are going to visit her tomorrow. DD was so worried about her. She had a bedtime crying episode a few weeks ago because she was worried her aunt would die. So, we will go up and have lunch or something and visit for a bit.
Work was decent last night. It wasn't overly busy, but I had nice guests and nice tippers. I work again tonight, too.
Slo- Hope you shake the cough. I have heard good stuff about Delsym, too.
Gef- Have you seen the thread on the CM about a college student hiring a personal student?!? Geoff needs one, right?
Bunchkin- DS had a bad spelling test the other week. Are/air words (staircase, stared) then they had the nerve to throw in "everywhere" and "therefore." Talk about confusing!
erika- How'd your dsis's surgery go?

just hanging until Geoff gets up and we can go to Costco.. he is taking the my van for 2 weeks so I need to do a liability wavier..

The point is for everyone he is driving to KC the next weekend for the kickboxing thing to sign the wavier so we don't get liable for any issues..

Last night was the Fremd vs Palatine game and it was the Fox game of the week.. WOO HOO Fremd won.. so on to the next round..
