Hi Donna long time no see. I wish you well. I know how you hate flying.

I am so glad they caught that guy. They had Alex's school on lockdown. They caught him just a mile from here. That is way too close.

Slo I am glad Kevin and Stephanie will have time together. I hope you can get some good restful sleep with Katie. I hated sleeping with Alex he was such a traveler in his sleep. He was sideways, upsidedown and every which way.

Happy Friday Everyone! last day of work before the trip! It has just crawled by. I haven't physically put anything nicely into the suitcase and still have a lot of ironing to do but i gathered all my socks, shorts and a few shirts (I still have to gather more things). I bought some travel size stuff from Jewel the other day. I'm gonna go to Walmart tomorrow for last minute stuff. Does anybody know if I could bring my electric toothbrush in my carry on? I don't want them to take it away b/c it was quite expensive. Maybe I should just check it...

Tig ~ thanks for the review of TSM for the Wii. I think I'll wait until it goes down in price or I get a gift card or something

Slo ~ I considered selling Avon or doing Pampered Chef but I'm too nervous b/c I don't know that many people who'd buy from me. Are Stephanie and Kevin going to WDW without you and Katie?

Paint ~ I'm also looking forward to Community. Has it already premiered. I love the fall for one reason and that is to have new episodes and shows!

Bunchy ~ happy belated anniversary. Have fun this weekend. I bet it's nice living so close to DL. Did you guys get APs?

Kim, Mac and Momto1 ~ when do y'all leave on your trips again?

Everyone else ~ have a wonderful day! I am hoping I get back on here before we leave but I have a wedding tomorrow evening and Sunday my sisters and fam are coming over for cake (for my bday). Oh and I have to find my costume for MNSSHP still. I'm such a slacker! But... if I don't get on here, I hope everyone has a wonderful week and maybe if DF's iphone cooperates with me (which is rare), I'll be able to jump on and say hi sometime during the week!

DD12 has a bball game tonight and tomorrow morning. It is our parish picnic on Sunday and she's volunteering for community service hours for confirmation. Not a lot of other things planned.

disneygal - I hope you have a GREAT trip!!

Hersey - wow, that is a bit too close for comfort! I'm glad they caught him too!

Donna - good to "see" you around again. Have a great trip to Reno, I had a friend that was afraid of flying he always took a Tylenol PM and slept through flights.

Bunchkin - have a GREAT weekend at DLR! Happy bday to Tony! We too were married in 1995, 5/19/95 to be exact! It was a great year!

slo - how fun, are Kevin and Stephanie going to WDW? I know what you mean about the co-sleeping. When Brian travels the kids take turns sleeping with me, thankfully they're getting better with the bed sharing as they get older!

Good morning! Boy did I sleep good last night. That guy running around was very unsettling.

Anyway today will be nice and quiet just like I like it. I have to get to the Farmers market for some fruit and veggies and over to Kohl's I need to do more of my part to help restore the ecomony.

I hope Bunchy and her family are enjoying their weekend.

I had a super productive first half of the day.
I took Kevin and Steph to the airport.
Came home and dyed my hair.
Changed the sheets on all the beds.
Did some laundry
Very thoroughly dusted and vaccummed my room.
Thoroughly cleaned 2 bathrooms
Got me and Katie ready for church
Now I'm at work.

I was on such a roll at home, that I hated to stop.
I have alot more cleaning that I want to do tomorrow
The house has been so neglected with us being outside alot with our neighbors. I have a feeling, that I won't get that much done tomorrow either, because I know everyone will be outside, and being with them is more fun that cleaning the house.

To answer the question about Kev and Steph going to WDW - they are not. They are staying with my inlaws, who are at their timeshare right now. This trip is a super economy trip, so they are going to relax, swim, and play on the beach only. Anything else will have to wait for another trip

I gotta run and get some work done around here - mainly paying bills

Hi guys! Another beautiful day! DD12 had another bball game, they lost.....again. I think it's going to be a long season. They've only won one game so far. This afternoon we went to Edwards Orchard out by Rockford. Picked a basket of apples, kids played in the play area, got some majorly yummy cider donuts and a 1/2 gal of cider. It was an expensive afternoon but the kids had fun and it was so nice out.

Tomorrow is our parish picnic, DD12 is working 4hrs there for confirmation hours. I think it's supposed to rain, I hope it doesn't.

mac - your trip will be here before you know it! Sounds like fun with all the peep meets you'll have.

slo - wow, you got so much done today. Wish I could say the same. I hope Kevin and Steph have a great time in Fla, even without WDW.

Hersey - I did my part to restore the economy today too.

Well, I've got to get the kids in bed. DD8 has Scout mass at 8:30am. Hoping for another nice day!

I found a costume for MNSSHP finally. several years ago my mom made my sister a really cute cat costume (it's like a leopard print dress type thing) any way, she suggested I try it on. It's a little big but i'm bringing a black belt to tie around the empire waist and if that doesn't work. safety pins always do! so I'm very excited! I'm also bringing a spare costume in case it's way to hot for the cat. I hope i have everything! I'm finally printing some tip envelopes and what not! so i gotta go! Have a good week everyone!

DG I hope you have a great trip. I love WDW this time of year.

ID Have you ever gone to Kuipers in Maple park? It may be small but the cider donut are the best I think. Alex always had fun there when he was small.

Yesterday was a pretty good day for the most part. Boy when they say late afternoon showers they mean it. I hope no one got caught in the rain.

Well I better get going, though I really feel like crawling back in bed.

I cleaned my house all weekend - it's great in here!!!!
Yesterday, I would clean a little, then go outside with the neighbors a little, then I would clean a little, then go back next door a little - I did this several times yesterday. But I accomplished what I wanted to get done, and now it's beautiful in here!!!!!


Donna - How nice of Christopher to buy the tickets for you two. I hope the flight won't be to dreadful for you

Mac - Are you starting to pack?

ID - Apple picking is a very expensive day We go in the fall too, and I'm not looking forward to the expense

DG - Have a wonderful time!!!!!

HERSEY - Katie has done really great!!!! In January, I moved her bed so it's not against a wall, and it really helped with her restlessness - I never felt her one time She's been a great sleeping partner the last couple of days (now I feel bad for saying she was going to be so terrible )



Time to get Ms. Katie up and out the door. It's weird not having Stephanie to wake up and get off to school.

Hi! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I worked all day Fri. and then Sat. night, so those two days were a total loss. I had to take the kids to a Chinese acrobat show yesterday. Their dad had bought tickets but hurt his back, so I was stuck taking them. It was okay, it's just that Sun. is my "quiet" day...grocery shopping, laundry, homework, etc. I managed to get most of it done, still, minus any relaxing! I also lost my cell. It was on vibrate during the show, so I can't call it to find it! Grr! Cross your fingers it will turn up soon!
Dgal- Have a super trip! I am so jealous! Have fun at the Halloween party!
Donna- You will fall in love with flying when you realize how easy it is. Especially those short flights to Vegas or Orlando. By the time you're at cruising altitude, it is snack time, then it is practically time to descend!
Tig- Exercise is overrated! Going to the gym after this but might eat a burger at McD's for lunch. Been craving one!
ID- MMM! Cider doughnuts! We go to a place in Peoria. I think I honestly go for the food!
Slo- I love starting out the week with a nice, clean house!

I was thinking, we haven't had a meet for a while. Bunchkin was always good about organizing them! I'd totally be up for one!

I am all for a meet to see TS 1 and 2! I know I went to a meet at Yorktown mall and that worked out well. I think everyone went to see Cars before, but I just met them at the food court. It was nice because everyone could get what they wanted to eat, come and go as they saw fit, and walk around and talk! I had the pleasure of meeting Dan Murphy, Slo, and Hersey, plus a few others I never "see" around here.
Exercise...I went. One hour of cardio and some ab work, followed by some flab work...double cheeseburger meal!
Okay, time to do some homework!

Hi all!!

We had a great time at Disneyland this weekend, even though it was a short trip. It took a while to finally get on the road Friday night. We didn't get on the highway till about 7pm. But there was not any real traffic and we made great time. Let's just say I like to drive fast. I can't help it, it's inbred. A race car driver taught me to drive...my dad.
I was able to take some pics on Saturday, not a ton though. And I meant to take more yesterday but we forgot the camera in the car!! We got distracted in the parking garage by a DL cop on a bike who was super nice with the kids and gave them Mickey police stickers after talking with them for a while.
DH finally got to ride Nemo's Sub ride. We had very little to no waits again this weekend. The crowds were great. Last weekend the kids and I had bought DH the birthday t-shirt the park is selling and made him wear it. This man does not like attention called to himself so it was a perfect gift! DH had a real Disney-aholic practically attack him in the Mr. Toad's Wild Ride line!!! First it was just "happy birthday" and then he was spewing out Disney info like crazy!! The guy was uncontrollable! After finally giving up on us this guy turned his attention to several other victims in line!! We switched over to DCA after lunch for a few hours and then headed to Downtown Disney to eat dinner at the House of Blues. DH had the BBQ ribs which he really liked. And I had the southern fried chicken breast (boneless) which was really yummy. There was a band practicing for a concert above in the stage area. So an already noising restaurant got even noisier!! Shopped around a while after that, then headed back to DL and stayed there till about 10:30ish.
Sunday morning we got up and ate breakfast at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen Cafe. It was soooo good! Beignets for everyone!!! Then we headed to DCA and hit a few rides we missed and left the park at around 1:30pm. Couple stops on the way home too.

I'll have to make time to load my pics, maybe tomorrow.

This post alone took me forever. I started before I picked up DS from school (3pm) and never came back to finsh until now (7pm). Just too busy!!!!
