We had a great family day yesterday!!
What was even better was the price of it all - so much cheaper than Chicago. When Kevin and I went to MoSI it cost us $26 for admission and $15 to park. Here it cost us $14 for admission and $3 for parking. Granted we had to pay for gas, but that was only $23 (we filled up before we left home and left there). We just couldn't get over how different the costs were.
Then this is sort of a funny story.
After we went to the Indiana State Museum, we went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway so we could do the track tour (the girls didn't remember doing this before). When we left there, we were really really hungry - we hadn't eaten since 7:30am and it was now 4pm. We went to the speedways lounge (we were really looking forward to this - great food), but it was dead, and the lady inside said that the girls couldn't eat there anyway because of smoking ordinance that says wherever there's smoking children under 18 can't be present. So we left and went to a restaurant that we've taken the girls before - it's called Union Jacks. We go inside and they say the same thing - by now we are starving!!!!! So we end up at Hooters - okay fine. We all order our food, and when we get our food, my food is barely warm - so I nicely send it back. The waitress apologizes and says that I will get credit for my meal and a new one will come soon - okay fine. So the rest of the family eats their meal, and I finally get mine when they are almost done. I take a bite of it - same way. I had Kevin take a bite, and he said it was cold. I told the waitress to touch it with her finger, and she agreeded that it's cold - she takes the food away. Next the manager comes and says she'll credit us $30, and if we want dessert to let us know. The waitress brings the food back and says that if I want to take it home for later I can, because she's going to throw it away anyway - I said great!!! So than we sit there waiting for my food - and we sit, sit sit, sit and sit, and the waitress comes and says, "Are you ready for your bill?" I said, "No, I haven't received my food yet." She says, "Oh, you still wanted your food? Didn't the manager talk to you?" I said, "Yes, she mentioned a credit, but I assumed I was going to still eat, because I'm hungry. I have a 2 1/2 hour drive home and I'm hungry." (I said this all very jokingly to keep the mood light). She said, "Oh, let me put in the order." Than I thought - I gotta get my kids home, I don't have time to wait again to have it be wrong. So I told her, "No, my kids are getting restless, and we'll just go." She says, "I don't want you to be hungry." I said, "That's okay, I'll just go home and make a sandwich. I have peanut butter - it'll probably be tainted with salmonella, but that's okay." We laughed!!! She leaves to get the bill, and I told Kevin, "We will hit the first drive-thru we can find." So I ended up with 2 McDonald's hamburgers for dinner

I found the whole thing so bizarre - it's just weird that they thought I wouldn't want to eat. I was never mad, and in fact, I was very joking throughout the whole thing - you would think I would want to eat, and not just get the heck out - so weird!!!!
Today I am going to 10am Mass and then going to work for awhile - I have alot to do. Than I have to come home and do alot here - the work never ends
Smacky - I have no advice on the hotel {{sorry}}. The magnificent mile is Michigan Avenue - this is where you find alot of shopping. You will find The
Disney Store, The Niki Store, Watertower Place (this is where American Girl Store is found), Ghiradellis, and many other stores. The Signature Room is, I think, on top of the John Hancock building (I've been on top of there, but I can't remember if this is what it's called

) If this is it, it's a very very nice place to get a drink or martini. We went up there during a thunderstorm, at night, and it was awesome!!!!
Bunchkin - I will have to look for that History Channel show now too - I better start writing these down
**Don't worry about the hair dye running down your body - your soaping up anyway. I've been doing it this way for 13 years
**What type of information is in the Joliet musuem?
**Reese's in brownies sounds yummy!!!!
To everyone else -
Well, I better eat breakfast and get ready for church.
Have a great day everyone!!!
