Tiggg I found some really nice winter fuzzy croc's on 6pm.com. There were/are lots of styles mostly half off.

I am now finished with Christmas shopping. :woohoo: I even remembered to buy calendar's before the end of the year. Am I good or what.:rotfl2:

Geffric I wish I could have gone to the Chocolate buffet. How was it?

I am off to wash floors and do the laundry I didn't do earlier. :laundy:

It's very very very cold outside :cold:
I know this......because I've already had to go stand in it :cold:
I'm so glad I went and bought my big warm coat last month, because it's awesome in this weather.:thumbsup2

Today is a Christmas party at Kevin's parents house, so that should be nice. The girls are really looking forward to getting their first Christmas presents of the year:woohoo: It should be a nice day!!!!:goodvibes

HERSEY - I checked out that 6pm.com, and it looks like they have some good prices. I will have to check out that website again when the girls need new Crocs:thumbsup2

Glad I went out yesterday..

report on Chocolate Buffet... WELL WORTH IT
My descriptions may not make it sound as YUMMY as it was and beautiful looking. I forgot my camera.. so no pictures but There were plain brownies, brownies with cruched candycanes, decorated brownies with other stuff too, chocolate and white moose ( sp) cookies, all sorts of pretty cookies with chocolate themed, chocolate - white and dark mousse in a tart cup, chocolate dipped strawberries, there was a chocolate and white chocolate dip marshmellow on a stick with peanuts in to, a chocolate cookie with marshmellow and dripped in choclate and then added a cherry on top, bark ( sp) - chocolate, white chocolate, pepermint, chocolate covered apricots and strawberries, and oreo type bark chocolate-dipped strawberry Twizzlers and chocolate covered gingerman, a mini ice cream cone with mousse and assorted sprinkles..plus lots more that I can't think of right now... hot chocolate and cider, coffee and tea were included too. Then a group of carolers came out and entertained us wilth songs and then they were table to table taking requests.. it was just lovely...and for $16 person including tax and tip was well worth it.. ( I did add more for tip)

:welcome: :welcome:

Yesterday after the chocolate buffet - I had Eric and his GF- we went on North Michigan ave.. Nike store, Apple store , Disney store and then to Giradelli's to get some gift to give.. then to the Lego store and off the Navy Pier. we walked around and they were having the winter wonderland thing.. it was fun..

Good day everyone! My nephew comes home on leave tonight. Poor kid has been in California the past few months, and gets to come home on the coldest night we have had since last winter. I hope he either has a coat with him, or my sister brings one to the airport with her.

So, Christopher is supposed to fly home today for Christmas!!! :cool1: YAH, I can't wait to see him. :cool1: I know the week is going to zoom by really fast.

technology ranges from space-age centrifuges to enhanced motion
vehicles powered by 3,000 PSI of hydraulic pressure. And hundreds of
audio animatronics brought to life through the power of pneumatics,
hydraulics, and electrical systems. Walt Disney World is made up of
four separate theme parks, each with its own innovations: the 107-acre
Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
The four parks are all part of a megaplex of a resort. Twice the size
of Manhattan, it was the final vision and crowning achievement of a

Welcome to another day of COLD!!!!!:cold:
My poor puppy is so cold outside, that she can barely stop shaking to go potty. She has a had time walking on the cold ground, and has to lift her paws alot to get some relief. I do put a sweater on her, but she would never tolerate anything on her feet. After she goes potty she runs towards the front door like she's saying "let me in! let me in!!!"

geffric - That chocolate buffet sounds like chocolate heaven!!!!:cloud9:
I"m glad you had a good time.:goodvibes

piglet - Your poor nephew is going to do this:eek: when he feels this cold. I hope he has a nice time home.

Donna - That's great about Christopher coming home:goodvibes
I hope he has a safe trip home, and you all have a nice week together.
**I will continue to keep your SIL in my thoughts and prayers. I feel so bad for her that she has to start all that treatment again:sad1: Did her doctors say how long she will have to do this, and how long it will take for her to get better?

DG - I don't blame you for not going out yesterday - it was nasty!!!!!! :cold:

Mac - We are suppossed to have nasty weather Tuesday and Wednesday, so please be careful when you go out shopping :wizard:

Crissup - :wave2:

Well, it's time to get ready for work
Have a great day everyone!!!

Bing Crosby? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

it is cold... -3 when i left or -25 wind chill.. waiting for the train was cold...but i am here at work and the boys are home.. ..:) Eric is going to the mall to get a present for his gf.. and then to band practice. Geoff is going out with friends.. not sure where or when.. at least he is not telling me where or when..I did have a fit yesterday since it is my car he is thinking of using.. but i told him that when car insurance is due in Feb, he just won't drive until I get the money from him..I paid for the first 6 months but not the rest.. so I wonder if he will get a sense of reality and earn the money or just not drive???

Been MIA- no power here until Saturday evening, but we left for my mom's on Friday evening. Our power had gone out at 6 a.m. and by the time we left it was 51 in our house!
I also have a work vent- we were asked to rank, in order of importance, our holiday off requests...I said I could work any/all shifts the day before and after TGiving and New Year's Eve and day. I also said I could work lunch Xmas Eve. Our schedules were posted last night- I am on the dinner shift of the 26th- the day we have family Xmas at my house! I am trying to get someone to take it, but nobody will pick it up. I am so stressed. I am not going. I will get written up, I suppose. Now I am going to worry about it all week!
gef- You'd have to roll me out of that buffet!
tig- We are all about the Bakugans here, too.
ID and Tig- We picked up Benderoos at Walgreens. Ds wants the Pancake Puff, though!
Susan- Welcome! My sister lives in Lake Zurich and always gets tons of snow!

Everyone else....hope you're staying warm! Have to go to work....grrr!

Hi guys! Yikes it's cold out there! My poor dog starts shivering before we even get outside! I will have to go out later to finish up shopping but I'm glad to be inside where it's warm for now.

slo - sorry the entertainment at the party wasn't better. I hate loud music when you're trying to talk :sad2: .
*How was the family Christmas yesterday, I hope you guys had fun.

geffric - thanks for the review of the chocolate buffet, it makes my mouth water just reading about it.

piglet - congrats on having your nephew home, hope he's not too shocked by the temps here!

Donna - my DH asks me nearly every day why we live up here......wish I had an answer for him!
*Hope you and Christopher have a great week!

mac - I don't know how your friend missed the snow and wind. I'm in Elmhurst and we got 5-6in and it's VERY windy around here.
*Be safe shopping Wed, they're forecasting snow starting tomorrow and going through Wed 6-10in! I still need a gift or two but I'm going to try and go out tonight and finish up.
**Thanks for the listings.

paint - no power - yikes :scared: . I'm glad you were at your mom's and didn't have to be there for that.
*What a bummer about work, my bro is in the same situation. He was supposed to change shifts but now they're not changing him until Jan 5. Awfully convenient, now he works Christmas eve, Christmas day, NYE and NYD :sad2: . It's going to be a nice paycheck with all that holiday pay + regular pay but it really stinks to have to work both eves and both days. I hope you find someone to take your shift.
**I think I saw the pancake puff thing at Target, on a back endcap in the housewares/appliances section my store has a display of As Seen On TV things and I'd swear they had that there.

I'm trying to clean this dump today, it's been a while since floors were washed and you can write your name in the dust so I'd better get back to work - break time is over.

I hope everyone is staying warm and finishing up all the last minute Christmas stuff. Happy Hanukkah to anyone celebrating!

:santa:

Mac Not sure how your friend in Arlington Heights missed the snow and wind either :confused3 While I'm not sure how much of the white stuff we did get some not sure how much cause it was blowing all over the place.

Yesterday morning the wind was so fierce it sounds like screeching tires, no car was on the street.

Boy it is still cold out there. I can't believe some people are going to go and watch the Bears tonight.

Stay warm everyone.

ID and Hersey...........my friend has been known to take a few nips here and there.............

maybe she was seeing pink elephants instead of snow....

thanks for the heads up!

Hi gang!!

I've been so busy the past few days that I haven't had a chance to post.

Finally done shopping, and wrapping!!

DD is having a friend sleep over tonight. They are playing video games right now and working off a serious sugar buzzzzz.

Yesterday was my birthday, and SamIAm's birthday too!
Only one of us is still in our 30's....barely!! Had to rub that in Sam!! ;) :rotfl:

momto1 Thanks for that puppy chow recipe....made it this afternoon and it was a huge hit with everyone!!! :thumbsup2

Donna Have a great week with Christopher home!

paint Sorry to hear they're messing with your work schedule!!! :headache: Evil employer!!!!!!

geffric The buffet sounds great! I would probably O.D on it though as I can't handle a lot of chocolate......I'm the oddball!!! :)

piglet Hope someone had a puffy warm coat for your nephew!!! :goodvibes

This is my last full winter day until Tuesday!!!!:cool1:
That means I have 6 days off!!!!!!:woohoo:
I love having my college employee home!!!!!:yay:

We were pretty slow yesterday at work, which is good and bad. Good, because I don't have any new orders to do today, and bad, because I really want the business. Today will be busy for my employee and I. We have 4 Christmas orders left to do, that we can't start them until my deliveries come in the afternoon. My employee said that a gentleman called last night asking us if we could do 2 things for X-Mas Eve, and she told him we could, so that means we could have 6 things to do. I'm so glad I have her with me to help with this stuff:)

Intermixed with the work at work, I need to take Sophie this morning to get groomed, got to Factory Card Outlet to buy some sticker books (Santa is bringing stickers in the stockings, and I would like the girls to have sticker books to put them in), pick up calenders at Office Max, make 2 batches of Nestle Toll House Pan Cookies and wrap the Santa presents :faint: I'm looking forward to this day being over with!!!! Kevin is home today, so he can pick up Sophie, but he's not feeling well, so I don't want to ask him to do more than that. It's more important to me to have him well for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day :santa:

geffric - What have you been doing for Hanukkah? I hope you've been having a great holiday!!!!:goodvibes

paint - I"m sorry your work is being crappy about your schedule:guilty: I hope everything works out for you:wizard:

ID - My house is looking shabby too, especially the floor around the front door:eek: With me coming in and out with Sophie all the time, I'm always slopping in slush and salt with me. I have door mats/rugs, but they don't seem to help:rolleyes:

HERSEY - Kevin and I were talking about how there's no way we would go to that Bears game:sad2: I honestly can say, that there's nothing I love so much, that I would sit in that cold to see it - not even Disney:eek:

Mac - :wave2:

Bunchkin - :cake: Happy Birthday my friend!!!!!!!
I keep forgetting that your birthday is close to Christmas and Kevin's Birthday (his is the 28th). I bet you were busy on your birthday, but I hope you still had a nice day:goodvibes Hugs to you!!!!

Well, the shower is calling me
Have a great day today everyone!!!!

Morning.. I shoveled so I could get the car out, carefully drove to the train in the snow and luckily the train was late so I got to hop on.. and here I am downtown .. in the office.. ug!!! but tomorrow wer have the day off. I may work 1/2 day anyways as I am very low on PTO.. but I'll see. We are supposed to get a lot more snow..

Happy Belated b'day Bunchkin and SamIAm..

MAC did you go to Carson's yesterday? I was thinking about your friend in AH this morning.. how could she say we have no snow.. maybe not as bad as you but sheesh.. snow we have...

So Geoff slide on the ice with the car yesterday and ended up ontop of the snow off to the side.. he had a get a couple of boards to make a ramp to get the car down from the snow bank.. he was a bit shaken to say the least.. hope he does better today..

Be back later

Merry Christmas to all of you here at the Chicagoland Board!

Have a safe a wonderful day! and a sasfe New Year.
