Afternoon everyone. Just returned from a day with DD class on a field trip. They went to Isle a la Cache in Romeoville. It's a Potowatami Indian culture lesson. It is a museum, but most of it is stuff to do outdoors. And it was not warm!!! The kids did have a good time.
Bunchkin, sounds like you all had a great time for Lauren's birthday.
You would love the Apple Orchard in Hobart. They have the best caramel apples and people absolutely love the apple cider donuts. We went every year with the preschool when the kids were little. I was thinking about going on Tuesday if the weather is nice. My kids do not have school Tuesday.
Hersey, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, to Alex. Hope he has a great day on Saturday. Time passes by so quickly. It's hard to believe how fast they grow up.
Slo, the living rosary sounds beautiful. I'll bet with this cooler weather, you are really counting down the days until you leave. I know I would be.
Kim, have a great time at the premiere!! I am sure we don't have to tell you to do that, though.
Well, I had better move on. Kids have choir after school, so I need to get a few things done before they come home. And I have no idea what to fix for dinner tonight.

Thank you all!! Sorry I didn't clearly state the Thursday we're leaving tho - we're leavng the 16th, early am. Another week of tolerating me before we leave. :rolleyes1 Sorry!!!! ;)

I also finally took a breath and thought about the best way to see Hollywood - a tour! Why wasn't I thinking before? It may be cheesey/Hollywood at times, but what better way to spend a day seeing all we can?! http://www.starlinetours.com/los-angeles-tour-18.asp I was considering this tour.

Nicole, I've had a headache as well for several days, you think it's the rain? I know I have sinus issues, I just never think about the weather wreaking havoc with my head. :headache: Sorry about yours, too!

Again, thank you all!!! :goodvibes (I still don't know what to wear tho!)

:grouphug:

:surfweb:

DG - :wave2:

DMM - :wave2:

Bunchkin - Sorry you aren't feeling well :guilty: I can't remember, do you take an allergy mediciane? I take Zyrtec and I'm suppossed to take Flonase, but I don't unless I need it, and it helps with my sinus headaches so much. If you do, maybe you should think about changing meds. I used to take Claritan, and then my doctor moved me to Zyrtec when it was still a prescription. I hope you feel better soon:wizard: :wizard:

HERSEY - :wave2:

TTTTTTTTigern - I am counting down the days ::yes:: This weekend is officially 2 weeks, and officially when I start putting the girls clothes out on the dining room table:woohoo:
**Countyline does have the best donuts and caramel apples, I just wish those caramel apples weren't so darn expensive!! On the other hand, it's a good thing they are so expensive, because that makes me not buy many, and therefore not eat many:rolleyes:

Kim - That tour sounds great!!!! I would do something like that to if I were going there ::yes::

Well, it's time to start the day
Have a great day today everyone!!

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: mike was supposed to go to a concert last night but had a panic attack for some reason so he came by me. i always feel really bad b/c there isn't much i can do other than just talk and be normal. that usually helps him to calm down. he had a string of these last year and this was the first was since january-ish. he's been to the doc about it but no one seems to know why they happen, he says he's not stressed so who knows :confused3

Slo ~ :wave2: HI!

Kim ~ a tour sounds wonderful! that's what i would do! It's nice you have an extra week to pack and plan!

Bunchkin ~ sorry to hear you aren't feeling well! Feel better soon!:wizard:

Everyone else :wave2: have a wonderful day!

DG, panic/anxiety attacks happen when we feel the most vulnerable, while control is OUT of our hands. I know. He was maybe relating to claustrophia at a concert? I am weird with my panic/anxiety also. I have a huge fear of heights, but no problem flying - my problem with airplanes tho, is the claustrophia IN the plane! Go figure! :confused3 If you're there for him, in whatever capacity he needs you, and tolerates it, you're doing a LOT! I can not usually be consoled during an attack. I had to get meds just for this upcoming L.A. trip! :sad2: Everyone's 'issues' are different, but they are anxiety/panic to us nonetheless (i.e. heart attack). I could LIST my issues right now about this upcoming trip, but I'm trying to overcome my anxiety with the positive (and knowing I have meds to take, if necessary)! Seriously, sometimes, all I've needed to know is that I HAVE the med, not that I take them, just KNOW that I can, if I get bad. Sorry to vent. Hope it helps you deal with Mike. Many {{HUGS}} for Mike, and you!

What does everyone have planned for this weekend?
Today I work till 7pm
Tomorrow is the Fire Dept Open House that we are at all day
Sunday is the Apple Orchard (of which it will be nice weather for - thank goodness!! Last year it was 90 degrees, and it was brutly hot!!!!)
So we have a busy, fun-filled weekend!!!!

DG - I'm sorry to hear about your boyfriends panic attacks :guilty: My brother used to suffer terribly from them, and he even got to a point he couldn't go out in public for awhile. He is much better now - thank goodness!!! I hope your boyfriend feels better today:wizard:

Kim - I forgot that you suffered from these, I know you mentioned it in the past. I'm sorry that you are having some stress about this trip, and I hope that gets a better  Take care of yourself, and whenver you need to talk or vent, we are always here for you!!

Well, I'm off to make Steph some breakfast
Have a good day!!!

Good FRIDAYMorning Everyone! :flower3: This just in....i'm going WEDDING DRESS shopping tomorrow morning! I made an appointment at David's Bridal and made a list of dress numbers I got from their website so I know what I'd like to try on first! I'm excited! :goodvibes

Slo ~ Mike is slowly starting to feel better! I just worry ALOT about him!

Kim ~ I'm sorry to hear you have such anxiety/panic attacks. I know how you feel about having access to the meds even if you don't need to use them! It's always comforting to know that if you do need something you have it. DF was starting to feel better yesterday evening. I think he just stresses out about work (even though he says he doesn't). Here's hoping everything goes well for you on your upcoming trip:wizard: Thanks again!

Everyone else ~ :wave2: have a wonderful weekend!

Wow, slow day around here yesterday.
I hope that means that everyone was out enjoying the fall day :sunny:

My little Sophie is not well again:guilty: .
I had to take her to the vet after work yesterday.
She was put on another mediciane, and the vet told me that if this doesn't help, that I will have to change her food. I sure hope somthing works, because the thought of having to put her through a bunch of tests just kills me:sad1: , so we'll se what happens.

Today is the FD Open House, and the kids are so excited!!!!:yay: :yay:
Stephanie actually went with Kevin last night and helped set up, and she loved that!!!! There were other FD kids there, and they all worked real hard - they even washed a firetruck. I was glad to here they all worked together so well!!!:)

DG - Have fun wedding dress shopping today :goodvibes Are you going alone, or with someone?

Have a great day today!!!

DG Happy shopping! I know you are going to have a good day.

Slo Poor Sophie. I hope you find out the problem soon. Minnie has a sensitive tummy. She eats to fast so I try to put out small portions for her to make her eat slower.

Today is Alex's birthday. It looks like it's going to be warm and sunny. :yay:

I have to getting hopping or I'm going to be sorry later

I just wrote a huge post and I lost it! :sad2: :guilty: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: I should have copied into Wordpad before I hit preview. :sad2: So now the post you get will probably not be as detailed about the plans for my trip. I can't bear to write it all again! :rotfl: Actually, I think I'll make a separate post for that, and do that a little later.

Today is Alex's birthday. It looks like it's going to be warm and sunny. :yay:

Happy birthday to Alex! :bday: party:

I have someone here working on some things for my house. He's put in some light fixtures that I had (finally! two of my rooms now have light! :rotfl2: ), and is now putting up curtain rods in my room. He's going to put peep holes in my doors, and put a hand-held shower fixture in my bathroom. (That will make it much easier to clean! :woohoo: ) It'll be nice having this stuff done.

I'm another one who has has anxiety/panic attack issues, off and on since third grade. But I've been doing much better in the last few years. I'm on a drug called Celexa now. I think it's actually more for depression, but can also be used for anxiety. I don't know if that's completely what did it or not, but I seemed to get a lot better when I went on it. It's really been a relief these last few years not having to worry about it as much. I used to really just be a big bundle of nerves!

More later....

Hi all-
I haven't been here in ages.

My grandmother passed away about 2 weeks ago. We had her wake/ funeral over a week ago. She was 92. We all are doing ok. We will miss her, tho.

Just busy with so many things.

Leigh- glad all is going well with your townhome!

Hersey- Happy Birthday to Alex :bday: :cake:

DonnaW- how is your SIL(with the cancer)?
Did you go to Septemberfest this year?

Hi to Geffric, Slo,Tiggerrn, and everyone else :wave2:

Have a good day everyone :)

I BOUGHT MY DRESS!!!!!

here's the link to the post on the Weddings board http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=28102005#post28102005

I wasn't planning on buying anything. I just found it and loved it. It fit perfectly, with a little room in case I gain weight or something. The sales lady just let me take it home today so I don't need to order it and risk it getting discontinued. And it was on SALE. I got my dress, veils (a cathedral and a fingertip) and my tiara and corset all for about what each of my sister's paid for their dress alone! I'm excited! :goodvibes

Slo ~ sorry to hear about Sophie. I hope she feels better soon!:wizard: Have fun at the FD open house. My BIL is a fireman for Romeoville and they are having an open house today too! My sis went to work the Hot Dog stand after we finished with the dress!

Hersey ~ Thanks! I had a very good day!

Rose ~ Sorry to hear about your grandmother! I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts!

Everyone else :wave2: hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful weekend weather!

DG Very pretty dress :thumbsup2

Rose sorry to hear about your grandmother.

Yesterday was very busy. Today I'm just laying around and not doing much. Cleaning house for company is so tiring.

Leigh Glad your house is being a home. Getting your house the way you want takes a while.

I going to go lounge on the couch for a while before tackling the laundry.

Good morning all!!!

Too many fun things to do today and we can't make up our minds. We need to have a family pow-wow in a bit to decide!!

Hersey HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY TO ALEX!!! :cake:
I hope he, and you, had a great day yesterday!!! And let him know he's graduated to the front seat of the car!!! ;)

slo Sorry to hear your dog isn't doing well again.
How was the open house?

disneygal I hope Mike is doing better today. Anxiety attacks are aweful. I suffer from them occasionally too.
Congrats on the dress purchase!!! You must be so glad it was on sale!!!

Kim I hope you can find ways to deal with your stress about the trip and not have to take the meds.

Rose Sorry for your family's loss.

Leigh Did you hire a handyman? Where are you staying at WDW?

Have a great day all!!

Morning all.
Rose, Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Everyone going to the Apple Orchard today, have a great day. The weather is beautiful for it. Maybe I may decide to do that today instead of Tuesday.
Hersey, Happy Birthday once again to Alex. Hope you had a great day yesterday.
DG, love the dress!! It is always such a relief to have that part of the wedding shopping out of the way and know you have found one you love.
Leigh, send your handyman my way!! We could use a little Handy around here. :rotfl:
Well, I had better get a move on. Kids are at Sunday School and I am trying to get :laundy: under way before they return to create some more.
Have a great, beautiful day.

Leigh Did you hire a handyman? Where are you staying at WDW?

I used a handyman that my parents used to use, so we knew he did good work. Everything's done now! I LOVE being able to walk into my two rooms and THERE'S LIGHT! :lmao: I keep turning on the lights just to see it. And I have a halogen lamp in one of them that my dad wants, so now he can have that. And I have peep holes, so I can see who's at my doors. And when I get back I can iron my valances and put them up.

Rose - I'm sorry about your grandmother. :guilty:

DG - Your dress is so pretty! :goodvibes

My trip:

We're leaving on Wed. My parents are having a van from their retirement community take us to O'Hare, so hopefully that will work out. So I'm spending Tuesday night at their apartment. Hopefully we'll get to POR (where we're staying one night) around 1-1:30pm. My plan is to take the boat and go to DTD for a few hours, then we're going to the HDDR that night.

Then Thursday we're going to DHS. I can't wait to ride TSMM! That night when we get back we're checking into CR and will be there the rest of the trip. Then Friday we're going to Epcot and eat at the F&W Fest. :yay: That's my main plan for that day.

Then Saturday is MK. We have a reservation for LTT for that night. Then Sunday, my tentative plan is to eat at the Wave for breakfast, to see what that's like, and then I want to rent a boat on Bay Lake/7 Seas Lagoon. My mom has a cousin and his wife who lives nearby, so we're going to see if they can come over and do the boat with us, and if so we might go to lunch at WCC. But that really depends on when they can meet up with us. I really want to do the boat, though. They're so much fun!

Then we catch the ME back to the airport at around 2pm. :guilty: So that's my trip, and I'm going to save this before I try to post it so that I don't lose it this time! (You got the abbreviated version today, but really all you missed a lot of indecision. :lmao: )
