Hi there!!!

This is our temporary home until Webmaster Alex brings back the old thread. If he decides to keep the old thread away, than this will be our new home


For all DISers that don't know about us, we are a group of Chicago area DISers that get together all the time to chat, and talk about our lives. This is an ongoing thread, that welcomes all new people that want to join. So, if you live in the area, please join in. If you are someone that wants to visit the area, and has questions, please feel free to come here and ask - we are always willing to help

I hope you were able to find me this morning.
I tried posting a note to you all on the old thead about this happening, but I don't know if it went through. The board was taking forever, and then after approx. 5 minutes, it said that that server was busy. I didn't have a chance to check to see if the post went through, because I was literally leaving work, and I wanted to go home.

It's weird to start this thread over from the beginning, but I can understand why Webmaster Alex took all the long threads off. If removing these threads help speed up the boards, than I'm all for the removal of these threads.

Well, I gotta run and start getting ready for work

I'm not in Chicago, but I do live in DeKalb. Anyone know where to find some Disney magic in Northern IL? We've definitely got the winter blues since getting back from WDW last month and it's a long time until our next trip in November.

As far as Disney magic we plan on going to Woodfield mall to visit the DVC store in 2 weeks

Hersey, I keep wanting to check this spot out myself. The couple times I was at that mall, I apparently didn't go far enough into the mall. Couldn't find it.
We should plan a meet there, have lunch at Rainforest and go check out the DVC place.
I am so ready for warmer weather.
Slo, how are your hands doing with this terrible cold?
I had to get groceries yesterday. Mother Hubbards cupboards were worse than bare!!!! It was so cold to be out there.
Well, kids only have half day today, so I had better get busy and get something done before I have to get them at noon.
We are going to see a movie this afternoon. National Treasure 2. Hope it's good.

Morning! This is an easy way to find the thread How are you all doing? My little Roman is being baptised this weekend.

He has lost most of his hearing in his good ear now and will be having tubes put in his ears on the 26th of next month.

They are not positive that will restore any of his hearing, but it is something that they can try for him now.

I'm bit scared given how young he is, but he's a strong little guy

A meet up at Woodfield to see the DVC stuff would be fun, once it warms up a bit. With 355 open, it is a much faster trip now.

I'm Michelle and a SAHM to 3 wonderful kids ages 3, 2, and 3 months old.
I am in Rockford and love the quiet small town feel of 'some' areas of this town

My husband and I LOVE WDW so much, we were married there and have recently signed on to have our VR there next year for our 5 year. We want to express our commitment and love for eachother in front of our 3 children and enjoy WDW too! YAY!

Tiggerrrrnnnnn - We loved National Treasure 2, it was great!!!
**Thanks for asking about my hands, and I'm happy to say, they are doing great Kevin found this miracle cream at True Value called O'Keeffe's Working Hands (I think it's made for Construction Workers, and those who work outside), and it has helped meyhands so much!!! I apply it 2-3 times a day, and my hands aren't cracking and bleeding anymore. They are still red, and if I stopped using this stuff, my hands would go back to how they used to be, but for now they are great

DMM - I'm sorry to hear about Romans hearing problems I will keep him in my prayers that the tubes help his hearing. Until then - I will send you my hugs

Who cares if new threads get started if it cleans up the boards, right? I have a thread too which has over 2,000 posts(no biggie) but I don't think it really matters. In fact it might intimidate people to join in when they think they have to read so much, right?

Please PM me Slo if there were any MAJOR changes in someones life from here. I do care to know but understand if that is a big request. Like DMM .....looks like you have been going through a tough time. I will pray for your baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
