Calling all Candy Lovers

If you live near a Russell Stover's outlet you may want to check them out soon or give them a call to see if they are having a case sale. Our RS (well the one in North Central FL, Wildwood) had an awesome sale! They had about four aisles of cases on sale, many of the sugar free and carb candies too.

I got:

10 Large Bags of Gum Drops $2.50 per case, normally $4 a bag
20 Family Size Bags of Individually wrapped SMORES candies $9.00, normally $4-5 a bag
40 Sugar Free White Chocolate Toffee Bars $3.00, normally $1.75 I think a bar

Some other ones I remembered are:
10 Whitman's Sampler Large Hearts $10
3,000 piece variety case, huge! $20.00
Pecan Delights 40 bars $3.00
Four Easter Stuffed Animals w/ chocolate $5.00
Marshmellow Bunnies 100 or more pieces $2.50
Most cases were between $2-5, nothing over $20.

Also if your driving down to Disney down 75/Turnpike you'll pass right by it, it's the exit before the turnpike off I-75. Have fun fellow candy lovers!

My DH and I stopped there in Wildwood on our way back from Ft. Wilderness last weekend. We had one of my daughter's friends with us and she said we are the best parents ever, because we bought a few cases of that candy. Mt DH has a major sweet tooth and can eat it all day and never gain an ounce. I just sat next to the boxes on the way home and gained 5 pounds

It is a really good sale and everything was very cheap but I am still wondering what we are going to do with 24 large carmel filled Easter bunnies. Can you freeze chocolate??????

As far as I know you can freeze chocolate. When I buy holiday candy on sale after the holiday I keep it the freezer so it will last longer. I also do that with chocolate chips.

Yes you can freeze chocolate. Just know that it may cause it to "bloom" -- white film over the chocolate.
OR you can keep it in cool dark place up to one year.

I stopped at one once but did not see the deals you got. The holiday candy was several months old and about the same price walmart sells it for the day after the holiday. Maybe it was a bad day to stop. I will try again next year.
