Calling all BWV guests

It makes complete sense to me especially since they won't fill the actual mugs. But there are a lot of things done at Disney that don't make sense.

I would prefer to show a receipt rather than carry a mug that won't be used. It takes a lot of room in a backpack to carry mugs for a family of 4. We do as OP and get a soda on the way to Epcot or sometimes the bus stop and get a refill on the way back. It is silly to carry all the mugs when they are not used.
The only problem would be if a couple bought one mug and one showed the receipt for refills and the other the mug--am I the only one to foresee this?

They could require you to be consistent, either show two mugs or two receipts but not one of each.

Stayed at BWV 10/23 to 10/27. We got coffee at the bakery several times, showing the receipt. It depends on the CM you get. One time we showed the receipt and was "reprimanded" for not bringing our mugs. According to the CM, he was doing us a favor by giving us drinks I guess it depends on who you get.
