Hi everyone,

I just got home from the hospital. My mom is in lots of pain and in addition to whatever caused her to pass out, apparently she broke/fractured some ribs in the fall. My house is so quiet. DS Harley left yesterday for a skiing trip to Danville PA with friends and he drove. That's enough to make any parent worry. He'll be back tomorrow. DD Lindsay went to the mall with friends to look for a dress for her senior prom and off to the movies afterwards. So I came home to an empty house. It feels so weird. I think this is the first time I've been totally alone. I went from my parents house to getting married and buying a house. When I got divorced, I already had both children. My mom moved in 4 years ago (when I bought a new house) and right now, no one is home. I'm glad I have my DIS friends. :disrocks: Thanks for being there.

Bev :grouphug:

Bev--if you want some noise in the house, I can send over Hazel and Angelina, they will make you feel right at home, LOL!!!

I had the house to myself for a couple of hours this afternoon after coming home from work, I relish those times, LOL!!!

Andy...Being alone and quiet is nice when you know that noise will be returning.

Bev...I hope you get good news and your mom gets home soon.

BEV
I hope your mom feels better soon. Ribs can be so painful. Are they keeping her comfortable?

I know what you mean about a quiet house. It is nice but can be disconcerting when you aren't used to it. Glad you can get on the computer and stay in touch with us.

Anytime,
Darlene

Hey Andy
Who did you sit next to at the diner? Was it George? Wish Hazel a belated birthday from us. :bday:

It was Ray Zane and one of his sons. Hazel says THANKS!!!

Yes, the quiet house is nice for a while, but sometimes I need the family noise, to let me know, I'm really alive!!!

Andy,

What tourture,
walking though all that snow and now you have to put Ice on it.
Seams a little unfair, but I know the feeling,

Bev,
Hoping the hospital can help ease your Mom s pain.
We have a quite house tonight, my dd is at a sleepover.

My dw went out to a dinner and movie, First time in a long time with dd tagalong.

Joanna glad your timer is working.

Doreen, after the town does your driveway send them over to Andy's and then mine. Thanks :rotfl2:

Catch you all later.

Good Sunday Morning All,

It's another chilly start here today, but we are supposed to be in the upper 40's this afternoon.

After crashing on the living room for a while last night (7:30-9:00), I finally made it to bed after 1am this morning. Hazel was looking for some outdated books and asked if I could look on e-Bay for them. It took me a while, but I found all six books she wanted, so far I was able to win five of the six books, with the last bid ending later this afternoon. I sure hope I win this last bid, because this is a series of books and the only book I haven't won the bid on is book #1 of the series. The one good thing is, there are no other bids for this book, and it has been listed on e-Bay for 7 days.

We are all in slow gear here this morning, it's nearly 11am and Hazel is just getting up. I even overslept this morning, as I didn't get up until 6:40am :scared1: LOL!!!

Here's wishing everyone a happy restful day!!! Only 16 more days and we will be in :sunny: Florida, :cloud9: where I know it is warmer than here!!!

Terry--did we have our week's countdown for this past Friday, or am I really slipping and missed it?

Andy, I do not recall getting the counter either. Maybe we are just getting anxious? Lucky you for your trip in a little over 2 weeks.

They are calling for 1-3 inces today into tomorrow, Monday night into Tuesday 6+(have heard as much as 18) and another storm on thursday into Friday. :cold: :cold:

Just as a precautionary measure we will not take a trip in December this year :rotfl: If all this snow is because we did the cruise in December we will let someone else be to blame next year :earboy2:

Bev, how is your Mom today?

Terry, how about you? First week of March is nearly over. Better weather is on the way! :sunny:

Enjoy your afternoon everyone.

Thanks Terry!!! I knew I was missing something this weekend, and I wasn't able to put my finger on it until this morning!!!

Thanks to those of you who've asked me how I'm doing. While I am nowhere as bad as I was last year this time, I am still not doing great. I hate being tired and feeling lethargic most of the time. I had a good day yesterday, we were out with the kids. Took Craig, and a friend of his, and Robby to a big music store about 45 minutes away, then took the kids clothes shopping, then we all went out to dinner at a Mongolian BBQ Grill restaurant which was a lot of fun. I did have to take a nap in the evening but then John and I did food shopping together last night.

Today I don't feel like I have much energy at all. Got up at 8am, went to our relgious meetings and got home around 11:30. We had sandwiches for lunch then I was going to lay down for a nap when Craig reminded me that I said I'd go pick his friend up for band practice. (Craig can't have any other kids in his car while he's driving for the first 6 months). So just got back from that and now here I am.

I really don't want to start taking the Wellbutrin but maybe it would help. :confused3 I think I should get one of those Full Spectrum lights to use, a lot of people have said they worked well for them. And last but not least, it's just about that time of month, so my hormones are in full swing which doesn't help either.

At least I still have a sense of humor, although I'm not sure if it comes across online or not :teeth:

Darlene: How is Stan doing??

Bev: How is your mom? Are the kids back yet so your house won't be so quiet?

Andy: How is your knee holding up after all your work yesterday?

Doreen: How are you and Marty feeling these days?

I don't want to leave anyone out so I'll just give a big group hug to EVERYONE :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

What?! You have not started yet?! :sad2: :confused3

:hourglass What are you waiting for?

I guess I have MAJOR issues as we bought some water shoes the other night as we did not take any last time. I better slow down or it is going to be a VERY long 76 weeks!! :badpc:

Mary

My knee is feeling much better after letting it rest all night. I have iced it down a few times which has also helped with the swelling. I am kind of taking it nice and easy today however, just sitting here watching the Ford Championship from Miami. The only golf I've ever played in my life is mini-golf, but I do enjoy watching the pros play on Sunday afternoon. I find it very relaxing.

For those who will be having bad weather :cold: this coming week, stay safe!!!

Hi Guys

It is Mothers Day over here today, Is it the same in the states.
Vicki woke me up this morning with lovley breakfast in bed and a beautiful purse with Marilyn Monroe on it.

Sorry I have not posted for a while, but I have been hosting the Quiz over on the UK community board and I cant believe how much of my time it is taking up. Got a bit of a question dispute going on over there at the moment as last night I posted the question "How many staterooms on the Disney Magic" I had got the answer from the passporters book and the Birnbaum guide to the disney cruise line book of 877. Most people started posting 875 so I got in touch with DCL today to confirm and they agreed it was 877. Now everybody is sending me PM's with the deck plans, and I have to be honest I can only count 875!!!! May have to eat humble pie and give them the point. We take our quiz's very seriously as you can tell.Anyway I am going to check it out a bit more.

Bev - How is your mum, hope she is feeling much better.

Joanna- Hi there, Hope you are well.

Darlene - How is Stan now after the chemo, hope he is feeling ok.

Terry- I do hope you feel better soon, I am sure as soon as the sun starts shining things will look up.

Andy - Goodness you have read some meters this past week, hope the knee is holding out, So glad you enjoy your meal out and I hope Hazel enjoyed her birthday. Thanks for all the help you gave me with the quiz today.

Ed: Get those lists going my friend, I have about 6 started already and add and delete things daily, 76 weeks is no time at all lol.

Mary - Thanks for reminding me, I must get some water shoes as well.

A big group hug :grouphug: to all.

Sue  :rotfl:

Busy still working on 2005 lists :rotfl2:

also still trying to finalize plans.

Currently Aug 6-13 Ftw Cabins, then off to visit brother and his family in ALa,
But then things up in air, Was thinking of heading up to Chattanooga Tn/ Ruby Falls, Then to Dollywood, Luray Caberns, Hersyey park then back home in CT.

But now the Bonus came , and Beth says, you know we could always head back to WDW for a couple more days , then stop by Disney Hilton Head on way home.

So its back to planning :rotfl2:

It is Mothers Day over here today, Is it the same in the states.
