Darlene: There is still snow piled up here, but it's slowly melting. Thats very exciting about you and Sandy being in the parade!!!

Doreen: I am so sorry to hear about Marty's grandmother. Please pass on our condolences :( I'm sorry that Daniel is so sick, poor kid :( :( I hope he's feeling better soon. *HUGS* to all of you.

Dori: That's pretty cool about Extreme Makeover! Can you remind us again when they're going to broadcast it??

Bev: I seem to have the same problem that you have; I do well on my diet for a few days, then I have a downfall. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day. I'm not looking forward to it. lol

Lyn: How is Matt feeling now? I hope he's all better now.

Doreen, our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. We also send some PD along.

DOREEN - You and Marty and his dad will be in our prayers. I'm so sorry for your loss. Hopefully Marty's dad will make it to the scheduled surgery and it will go well. I know what you mean about our DIS friends. I can't tell you how much it helped me to have you all when Stan was in the hospital. Just remember that we are here for you.

How does Daniel feel today?

Darlene

Hi everyone:wave:

Doreen - I'm sorry to hear about your loss and hope surgery goes well for your father-in-law.

Darlene and anyone else who is interested - here is the link to "Disney's On the Record"
http://disney.go.com/disneytheatrical/ontherecord/
The show is coming to the Academy of Music in Philly 1/5 - 1/16. Maybe we can get a group together to see it. Let me know.

Andy - I think I found the two pounds you lost. Lol

Lindsay's home sick again. The doctor thinks she didn't totally get rid of the strep throat she had last month so she put her on a larger dosage of antibiotics and for 20 days. I hope it works especially since we leaving on our cruise (VOS) in 31 days. :worried:

Tina - again Congratulations.

Bev

I am SO interested in tickets for the show. Do you think we can get a group at this date? If not, I'd still like to go.

Hope Lindsay feels better!

Darlene

Hi Everybody!!!

I'm not doing very well on my diet :( Fifty lashes with a wet noodle for me. Congrats to those with willpower!

Doreen - I'm so sorry about Marty's Grandma and I am sending prayers and well wishes for Marty's Dad with his angioplasty. Please let us know how it goes. Marty - you take care too now okay?

Tina - Did I miss you? I hope not. I want to wish you a wonderful wedding & trip and nothing but smooth sailing ahead!

Ginny - Please forgive me, I just didn't get to the post office yet. I'll get there soon though.

As for the rest of you...........How the heck are all of you? Our thread is moving slowly now. Maybe everyone is prepping for Thanksgiving like me. I'm having 22 for dinner and it makes me tired just thinking about it! I love the holidays but they sure are alot of work arent' they? I've also started Christmas shopping. Bob John is one of 10 children and I have alot of shopping to do. The running joke around here was the year I counted 99 presents I had brought (just had Taryn then too). I went out and bought one more to make an even 100. Can you believe that 100 presents!!!! I have since convinced both sides of the family to keep it to kids, singles, and parents and so it a little more reasonable now (but just a little more) Believe it or not the worst part of the whole thing (not counting the $$$) is wrapping everything. I really, really, really HATE that!!!!

More later...........

CV

Many pages to read.

Doreen, Condolences to Marty and your family.

CV...You should try a grab bag, that will probably work with a lot of people. Wrapping UGH I also HATE IT.
My kids want electronics this year, so all those toys are a thing of the past. YEAH BABY!

Tina...Have a great wedding and ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY.

Did I miss anyone that has something going on, if so I'm sorry.

Diet!!!! ROTFLMAO OK yesterday we had a holiday luncheon in our office, today a sales rep brought us in lunch, tomorrow another rep is doing lunch. Then of course we all brought in our Halloween candy a few weeks ago. So I'm not sure exactly how much I've gained but I gained. BUT I did go to curves today, I am the heaviest I've ever been. I should have NEVER quit smoking. I quit smoking about 20 lbs ago and I'm not real happy.

I was getting ready to go back to work after lunch, and the phone rings. I check caller ID and see that it is my mom. I pick up the receiver and we start chatting for a few minutes, then my mom informs me that she doesn't want to go on the 8-19-06 cruise. I scheduled this cruise to celebrate my mom's 70th Birthday, now she doesn't want to go. I ask her what she would like to do for her 70th now, and she says, "I don't know, but you can still take your cruise if you want." Well, I guess I'm just going to have to play it by ear for a bit and see what happens.

Time to get back to work. :(

Please say it aint so! :sad2: I hope you can still come Andy!

ANDY
I hope whatever is up with your mom isn't serious. How did she make the transition to her new home in FL? Hope all is well with her.
Darlene
PS - will you & Hazel come anyway?

I must echo allshookup's sentiment. Andy, here's hoping that your mom will change her mind about the cruise, after all she's got 21 months to do it.

An Extreme Makeover update -
The house was 'revealed' yesterday and the family is moving in today. It's a really nice house too. (It almost makes me wish that I was a bit more destitute. I'd love for them to come tear out the mobile home on my property and build me a new house. Oh well!)
Terry, according to the local news the show will be broadcast on January 2nd. I will send out another reminder closer to that date.

Devin has been driving me crazy the last couple of weeks, but it's my own fault. He has been playing the flute for three years now and for the last two we've been having to suppliment with additional music to keep him from getting bored. So... I picked up another music book for him a couple of weeks ago that was nothing but Disney songs. He has had the theme song to the Mickey Mouse Club stuck in his head since then and has been walking around humming it continuously. (I'm afraid that the one stuck in my head lately is "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes".) I guess that I should count my blessings... at least it isn't "It's a Small World After All" (which is also in the book).

Speaking of the Mickey Mouse Club...
Nobody took me up on my trivia challenge a couple of weeks ago. I know that there are enough of us in the right age group to answer the question, which was... "What was the 'theme' of the show for each day of the week?".

Come on! I know that we can do it! Let me get us started.
I remember that Friday was "Talent Round-up" day.

I hope that everyone is doing well! Those that are under the weather or have family member in that situation, here's a load of good vibes for you... get better!

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Well, I'm done with lunch and better get back to work. (ICK!) The only thing worse than creating technical designs and program specifications for software changes is reviewing those created by others on the team. I've already gone through 3 design walk-throughs this week and will be spending most of the next couple weeks doing more of the same. Oh goody! (Said with much sarcasm.)

Dori :crazy2:

Hazel, Angelina, and I are still "planning" on going on the cruise in 2006, but my mom, who moved to Florida in July, said the Caribbean was too hot and humid for her these past two cruises in August. I'll figure something else that we can do with my mom to help her celebrate #70, maybe I'll send her to Alaska!!! LOL!!!

Andy,

If you decide to take your Mom on an Alaskan Cruise that originates out of Seattle, let me know. I am offering my services as a Seattle Tour Guide to any one in the group that makes it up into my neck of the woods.

Dori :teeth:

I must not be getting the email messages that someone has posted to our thread here :/ I just got one, but I see that people have posted since yesterday and I wasn't aware of it.

Anyway! LOL

Diane: No, I can't believe all this snow. LOL We still have some on our front lawn, and I woke up thinking it was raining this morning because I could hear water trickling down the downspouts, but then realized it was just the snow melting off the roof. lol

Bev: I hope Lindsay is feeling better today.

Andy: I'm sorry that your mom doesn't want to go on another cruise in August :( I sincerely hope that you and Hazel and Angelina still go. But understand if you end up changing to something else, to include your mom.

Dori: I do remember the Mickey Mouse Club, but not enough to remember the daily themes. But, Talent Round Up does sound familiar. lol You look MUCH younger than me, I'm surprised you remember it more than I do! Or do you mean the new versions of the MMC, in recent years??

Everyone else: I miss all the chatter we had earlier when we all first booked the cruise, but believe me, I understand how we all get busy and caught up in "real life". lol

P.S. My Mickey and Minnnie tropical island lamp arrived today. It's much bigger than I thought it'd be, and it looks great right here on my desk. I'll take a picture later :sunny:
