I haven't been getting notifications about this thread. I should've known it wasn't that quiet over here. Anyway....

Darlene: My nephew just got back from Kuwait recently. We are so glad he is home safe & sound! I wish your son & all the troops away from home a safe return!

Terry: That lamp caught my eye in the catalog too. I refuse to buy anything new until we move to our new home in Florida so I guess I'll have to wait a couple of years.

Congrats to all who have lost weight. I am having trouble squeezing into my "fat" jeans. This is NOT a good sign! I think I hear WW calling my name.

Lyn: Glad to hear Matt is better.

Dori: I know the feeling. I just bought tickets to the Radio City Christmas special coming to the Wang Ctr. in Boston this Christmas. I'm killing my DH with all these plans I keep coming up with!

Lisa, If you ever need to talk about the back/legs pain, feel free to talk to me or IM me. I have been out of work since 1997 from c 4-5 fusion that has led to many more complications. Recently, neuropathy of both legs and a slight TIA in OCTOBER.
If they can diagnosis.. I had it... I am a RN by degree... but a baby by injury...lol

Darlene, the person I know in Iraq is in Echo battery 2/10 2nd battalion 10th marines, from 2nd
marine division guarding that abu ghraib prison. I will be sure to get a card for your son when I get a card for Russell again.. THEY are all special people out there.... GOD bless them all.

TINA.. take a deep breath, and good luck with the rest of the wedding plans. I am sure it will all go very well.. Bring back some sunshine to Central NY too..lol

Hi everyone

I had the day off for Veteran's Day so I took Lindsay, Harley and my mom to breakfast at Shady Maple Smorgasbord near Lancaster. I love it there. Has anyone ever gone there? Of course, since I am watching my carbs I thought I did pretty good. Only ate 1/2 pancake and lots of the stuff I can eat on Atkins. I'm not getting weighed until Monday morning. I took tomorrow off too so I'll have a nice long weekend.

It's weird - I'm going on the VOS 12/18/04 yet I'm not excited about it, yet I'm excited about the Magic in '06.

Bev: I know what you mean about being more excited about the Disney cruise, then the closer RCI cruise. LOL Although I have to say, I've been looking at web sites and I chat in the Cruise Cafe on AOL sometimes, (I think I'm the only DCL cruiser in there. lol) so I'm starting to get a little more excited about the Voyager. I have no desire to really spend time on the Cruise Critic RCI board though. I like it here with my Disney friends

I hope everyone has a great weekend! We're due for our first snow overnight, and tomorrow. Yippee...

Hi everyone ,

Yesterday we went to a breakfast buffet and today we went to a Chinese Buffet for lunch. I don't have to willpower to really watch myself the way I should on Atkins but I got to spend time with my family, and that's more important than the diet. Notice how I have lots of excuses not to diet. Lol

Terri - I was surprised when you said you were expecting your first snow tonight. I forgot that you don't live in NJ. I just found out about Cruise Critic and today went on for VOS and found some people going with us. Lindsay is thrilled that there are some teenagers (especially boys) going. Last year, we did the Victory in Dec and flew into Ft. Lauderdale and cruised out of Miami. Lindsay woke up the day of the cruise with 102.6 fever and my mom passed out during the lifeboat drill and was sick the whole week. Needless to say, I didn't know who to take care of first. I guess I'm nervous and have that in the back of my mind for the cruise next month especially since we flying to Ft. Lauderdale and cruising out of Miami again. It was a hassle doing that. This is also the first year that none of us got the flu shot. I'm sure as we get closer I'll get excited.

Just give me Disney again. Lol

We are in upper Morris County. It is really bizarre weather, For Halloween last Sunday - it was warm - we were all out without jackets. Then on Tuesday night, the low overnight was below freezing. Quite a change!

My DH and I are thinking of going into NY to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I have always wanted to, but never have. It will really depend on the weather. If it is this cold, I am not sure that I want to sit on the curb for hours.

Has anyone ever been to the Macy's parade? Any advice on the best place to watch it?

Hi Everyone:

It's been busy here. We went from one illness right to the next. I've been busy taking care of my sister. On 10/28 she had surgery on her heal and ankle. She had bone spurs and a tumor removed. All went well until last Sunday when she started with bad pain in her leg. We spent all day Tuesday in the ER she has a blood clot in the leg. The health insurance said she couldn't stay in the hospital so she has to get shots at home for 7 days and then take the pills. I'm sure everything will be fine it is just nerve racking.

Karen: How's your leg?

Darlene: How is Stan? I will be looking for Sandy in the parade on Thanksgiving. I hope it's not too cold. Yesterday was freezing here. I think we are in for a bad winter.

Doreen: I didn't realize that the doctor diagnosed you with a TIA. Is everything ok now? I knew you where going for tests but I must have missed the outcome. I am sorry!

How are the kids and Marty? I know that Jaclyn is just going to love her new cell phone.

We are in Gloucester County, near Woodbury. My FIL was in Kennedy Hospital, Stratford a few years ago after suffering a heart attack.
