Calling All 8/19/06 Special Western Cruisers! AKA "The Cruisin' Castaways" Part 3

Andy, that is amazing!!!!! What a great thing to do. Weren't you originally booked on that cruise?

Thanks for posting that.

Just got back from our Wonder back-to-back cruise, the one with the layover at Port Everglades. Yes, folks, we did NOT have to get off the ship and take a four hour bus ride back to Orlando. People had to depart the ship at 5:30am to make a noon flight that morning.

That certainly was one memorable cruise with Fay impacting us all four days. Captain Henry did an amazing job and got us to Castaway Cay both times even though it was extremely windy both days.

BTW.... I have to thank you all for something that many of you did back on our 2006 Magic cruise. That cruise I made the mistake of flying in the day of the cruise while many of you flew down the day before and stayed at the Radisson and ate dinner at Grills.

Well, guess what? We got smart this time and flew down the day before, stayed at the Radisson and ate dinner at Grills. It was absolutely great. We had a limo pick us up at the Orlando airport and take us to the Radisson.

Everything went smooth as glass and it was a great way to start our cruise.

Andy.....for the second CC day we had a different menu at Cookies BBQ. It was very good. I hope DCL does the same thing for your double dip Magic cruise.

Yes Kay, we were booked for that cruise at one time. I had been searching the DCL website for weeks trying to see if anything was available but it kept coming up as being sold out, then the other night a cat 12 cabin opened up and I grabbed it!!! :goodvibes

I got an e-mail from Dizzyworld, she told me she and her family had 5:30am breakfast last Thursday before they got off the Wonder.

Andy.....the announcement of the change to Port Everglades was made at 5pm Wednesday night as we were leaving CC. We were sitting on the verandah and not paying attention to what was being said and didn't know about it at all until later that night.

We ate lunch at CC that day with Dizzyworld's son. Nice group of kids in the teen club that cruise.

Speaking of kids.....my kids met an 11 year old boy who spent the summer living on Castaway Cay as his dad is a lifeguard. Can you imagine being a kid and living on Castaway Cay!!!!!

Yes, its true that the bugs are really bad at night on CC.

Happy Holidays to everyone. Hope you are all surviving these horrible economic times. Its just scary out there. At least gas prices are down.

It sure is bad out there. Angelina is working at The Disney Store as a seasonal employee, but she didn't get any hours this past week because of sagging sales, she only has 4 hours scheduled for this coming week on Friday from 9pm to 1am, guess who gets to drop her off at 9pm and pick her up at 1am.........:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Luckily, Angelina has a part-time babysitting job as well. She made more babysitting this week than she did at The Disney Store over the past three weeks. Bad times indeed.

Me, on the other hand, just finished a 67 hour work week. I'm one tired pup tonight!!!

Feel better soon Julia!!! :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

thanks I will try, hopefully by putting a clean warm wash cloth on it from now till it's gone will help it be gone fast, it hurt more last night so I guess that is good, but it wasn't swollen yesterday and it is today:lmao:, good news is my day is letting me have off work tomorrow because of it

Just finished printing off our "Family 2008 Newsletter." :santa:
