Ed: Oh no, you poor thing!!! That sounds extremely painful! :sad2: I hope your recovery is as quick and easy as possible

Andy: Have a fun trip! :sunny:

Mary Rose: We won't be in NJ for thanksgiving afterall; my sister and BIL decided to come up here instead. We will definitely get together though, you know we go back to NJ several times a year :car:

In case anyone's interested in cruising on Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas next fall, here's a web page I started for that cruise: http://www.brownfamilyvacations.com/html/Explorer2007.htm It definitely won't be the same without you guys, although I am thrilled that we'll be cruising with my sister & BIL, and niece and her family. :grouphug:

Well I guess it's definite that DCL is planning something special for summer 2008! :sunny: Any guesses?? :scratchin If I *had* to guess, here are my top 3 guesses:

1. 7-night cruises to include Bermuda

2. Another summer of Panama Canal/West Coast cruises

3. Totally new itineraries in the Caribbean (perhaps adding in some of the southern itineraries they did this fall on the Wonder).

Again, these are guesses ONLY! They are, however, based partly on the Questionnaire I was sent after our August cruise; some of choices were Bermuda and West Coast cruises. LOL One thing I know for sure, they won't be doing the Med again in 2008. :rolleyes1

Oooooo.......how do you know its not the Med in 2008 :rolleyes1

My guess for summer 2008.......new itineraries in the Caribbean. I don't think it will be CA because we would have heard rumors by now.

I wonder if DCL is so focused on selling the Med cruises and working out excursions for those cruises that thinking about the summer of 08 is not high on their priority list right now. I bet we'll start hearing more concrete rumors after Christmas/New Year's.

Speaking of the holidays....I cannot believe Thanksgiving is two weeks from tomorrow. :scared1:

You're going to be on the October 26th, 2007 sailing too? Hey, that's great, Julia! :) I'll be on the lookout for you so I can say "hello" :wave2:

Ed--so sorry to hear about your accident and surgery. I'm sending you some :wizard: for a speedy and complete recovery.

We just arrived home a little bit ago, we had a great time, we "will" be going back again in the future!!! I have a few pics to share after I load them into my laptop.

On the way home from Willow Valley we stopped at our local mall to see "Santa Claus 3--The Escape Clause" but since we arrived back too early for the movie, we walked around the mall for a bit. Angelina went in the "Limited Too" store to fill out a job application, the manager wasn't very busy so she gave Angelina an interview after filling out the application and hired her on the spot, Angelina starts next week. After that, we went to see the movie. I don't think it was as good as the first two "SC" movies, but we still enjoyed it.

Time to load the pics. ;)

Hi All,

Below is a link that will take you to my Webshots account where you can take a look at the 22 photos I just uploaded from our two day trip to the Willow Valley Resort in the Lancaster, PA area. We did have a very nice time there and will be going back again. We selected the "Fall Getaway Package" that inluded the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet for each day of our stay. We liked our Pool View room #118, but next time I will be requesting room #116. Room #116 has the steps leading down to the pool area right in front of the door!!!

Andy...Thanks for sharing the pics. Looking at them makes me want to go back. They have the New Years Party in the Palm Court. It is so familiar to me.
Glad you all had fun

Terry--it took us about 1 hour and 40 minutes :moped: to get there from our house, but we did run into some contruction traffic a couple of times. According to Mapquest the trip was just under 75 miles one way.

Joanna--we're hoping to get back up there for a couple more days maybe late winter or early spring. I put their webpage icon on my laptop screen, I'll be watching for their special getaway packages!!! I am staying off the scale for the next week however, LOL!!! :rotfl:

Thanks!!! I didn't think about that. (Edited to add: I'm signed up now!!!) :thumbsup2

Remember the other day when you told me to pretend we were on the Magic when we were getting ready to head to Willow Valley? Well, the first night there I had a dream we were on the Magic, but it wasn't such a nice dream. Here's a copy of an e-mail that I just sent to a very dear friend of mine in Indiana.

Talking about "ship" dreams. I had one the other night when we were at the hotel. A DISfriend told me to pretend about being on the ship while we were at the resort. I did just that, but the dream was horrible. In the dream, we were standing by the railing near the deck 4 Atrium talking to the captain, when some man came up and threw the capatin over the railing. I watched the captain land on the deck 3 Atrium floor and I screamed at the man, "Why did you do that, the capatin is dead." I started to run towards the stairs to go down to deck 3, and that's when I woke up in a cold sweat at 4:38 in the morning. I was too afraid to go back to sleep because I didn't want to continue with the dream. Needless to say, I took a nap later that day, but didn't have anymore dreams about being on the ship.

I think what might have triggerd that dream was hearing about the man that fell or jumped off the cruise ship the other day in Texas.

Hey Ed, good luck to you .. I wish you well, I know the feeling of having surgery.. at least you can sit down..lol I had leg sugery a few yrs back and it was a bummer esp being the right leg... best wishes for you .. :thumbsup2

Andy.. the pics were great..I loved the front entranceway.. how pretty for the fall. Glad you had a great time. Congrats to Angelina.... she is so pretty.. :goodvibes

Joanna.. how are the plans going for Australia??

TERRY how are you my dear friend.. its been a while since we talked.. Today was the first time I drove in many weeks. A bit painful but I did it..

On a sad note.. My nephew, Elaine's son was rushed to the ER tonight in an ambulance for respiratory distress. You can imagine how hard it was for me to get out of the mall and find my car, get to my dads and get to the hospital.( first itme out and walking). He is fine now.. but....
Thank good ness for Benadryl and epinephrine. Talk about everything passing before your eyes.. All I told ELaine was that I promised that he would be OK.. now as an RN...I knew that was a big promise to keep... But he had to be ok.. He is my only nephew..!! He suddenly got thicked tongue and hives with swollen face and difficult to breath...
When he got to the ER..Daniel was in charge of his IPOD..I left JACLYN at work and didnt tell her as they are more like brother and sister than cousins...
he is back at college and doing better... as for ELAINE>... can you keep her in special thoughts.. the scare of putting your only child in an ambulance with breathing problems..

Keep healthy everyone..
Doreen

Good Morning All!
Let's hope today doesn't bring any unwanted surprise trips to the ER. My son, sufferred a severe allergic reaction last night. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance because he was having difficulty breathing. We know he is allergic to penicillin, and some dairy products, but have strictly kept away from them. He was at the gym at college and could feel the reaction coming on, told his roomie that he needed to get back to the apt. to get some Benadryl. By the time an ambulance was called, he was swollen and hived all over and his throat was closing up. We have been through this before, and the only common factor is exertion. The last time this happened, 6 yrs ago, he was at basketball practice.
They gave him epi and some prednisone, watched him for a while, and home we went. What a terrible feeling to see your pride and joy suffering and in the back of an ambulance, with you not able to be with him.
I prayed all the way to school, which i think i made the 20 min ride in about 5, and thank God that he is OK today. The doc advised us to contact and allergist ASAP. So that is my job 1st thing Monday AM, as nobody is around on the w/e. Keep us in your thoughts, that we can get to the bottom of this. Thanks.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: and :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: heading your way!!!

Holy cow, how scary. Thank goodness he had the foresight to recognize what was happening to his body.

Going to see the allergist is absolutely the best thing to do. One of the trainers at my gym has terrible problems with allergies and he told me that about every seven years the human body changes what its allergic to. So things that the body could tolerate before may not be true today and vice versa.

Hopefully you can find out what triggered this latest attack.

My goodness its summer like here in NJ. DH is out blowing the leaves out of the gutters. I'm cleaning the filter in our hot tub. Got to make sure that is all set for use this winter.
