Oh Doreen...I am so sad for you, I'm sure it was nice being with his family last night. Again, all my best.

Sue...No, your time and temp is not there, but neither is mine. :confused3

Where did they go?

Joanna: That is April vacation for us here so I definitely a good deal! I hope you have fun on your cruise!

Doreen: So sorry to hear about your dear friend. My heart goes out to you and his family!

Sue: We will be in DW at the begining of December so we just miss each other again. One of these days our ships will pass! ;)

Take care all!

Terry...I'll take good care of her for you. Which cabin did you book? We booked 2 connecting Promenade cabins. I hear it is great for people watching. I'm not ready to have the kids across the hall from me.
Isn't February sooo far away? Funny how we are both doing the Wonder & the Explorer.

Joanna: We got our cabin number today! We're in cabin #8292, which is a mid-ship category E1 balcony cabin on Deck 8 :) My sister and niece are in cabins right in the same area, they also have balcony cabins.

Yes it's funny that we'll both be on the Wonder and Explorer next year, too bad not at the same time though!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. NO WORK TOMORROW FOR ME, it's a paid holiday!!! :woohoo: :sunny:

Oh LUCKY YOU, no work, unfortunately for me there is work, but I had last Monday off as a paid holiday. Why can't I have everyday a paid holiday? :confused3

Yep,

Im working today and Caitlin has school too.
It's a Monday, and the week is starting poorly, I noticed a small stream of water this morning coming from under the shower pipe where the shower head comes thru the water.

Went down to the celler and sure enough a puddle of water was found.

I'm waiting to hear back from the contactor.

Ed

Ed, sorry to hear about the leak problem.

Angelina and I both have off today  , but Hazel just left to go work at the office for a few hours. Hazel started a new part-time job the other week and she really likes it. It's all office work, and also includes some sales, via phone and personal meetings.

At least the leak is a small one, I just spoke with the contractor and they are sending over a worker later today or tomorrow morning.

Most likly just a lose fitting.

It only leaks when we take a shower, so I guess I will need to take a long relaxing bath :cool1:

Strangely enough our new home appears to have the same problem. We believe it doesn't leak when taking a bath, but our shower causes water to leak into the finished basement. Luckily for us there is a drop ceiling so access is very easy.

I am going to dig out the old caulk around the tub and put in new. The caulk appears to be in good shape, but there is clearly a leak into basement.

Besides that little inconvenience the house is great. We are having our driveway widened and in the ground pool installed; both within the next week or two.

Since the move process is for the most part over I will be online a little more. Hopefully I can help keep us off of page 2.

I have a "gut feeling" we are going to go through what we did in 2005 with the CA itineraries. I think the summer of 2008 will be released next year in May and there will be special itineraries (probably Southern) for the 10th anniversary.

I have nothing to back up this statement, just a gut feeling.

Well I hope its sooner, but you may be onto something.

Something is in the works I suspect for the 10th year anniversary.

I'm going to agree here - I, too, am beginning to think we won't see the usual eastern/western itinerary in summer of 08. I think DCL is waiting to hear the feedback from the double dips as well as the 10/11 day Wonder trips last month.

I'd like to see a southern Western itinerary - Costa May, Belize, Costa Rica. You'd have to sacrifice Key West and Cozumel.

Sorry to hear about the water leak problems. Ugh. They are so frustrating because its hard to find the source. And the repair always involves ripping up something. We had a chimney that leaked only when it rained in a certain direction and the wind had to be at a certain velocity.

Jeff, we figured you were swamped with moving. Still like to hear your trip report and where's that video of your family arriving at the Roy suite?

When I did the 11 day cruise, I asked some people in the know who confirmed that they are considering the possibility of doing a 10 day cruise for the 10th anniversary. They said it's in the talking stage and that as of now, nothing has definitely been decided. :confused3

So in effect................ everything now is speculation. (I'd personally love a cruise to Alaska).

Good Morning Everyone!! I hope everybody is doing well, and all are staying healthy. It has been a busy few weeks for me, work, work, work. Today I have the day off from work, a doc appt and then the dreaded mammogram. Ouch! I usually have it done when on summer vaca, but I was on a big, beautiful ship, somewhere in the Carribean. :cool1:

I hope all the women on this board over 40 and their friends and family over 40 all get a mammogram and do self exam. Early detection is the best.

Thanks

OK, I have some video posted, I am still perfecting my video streaming skills for the web, but for the moment I have some raw footage (haven’t gotten to edit it yet) from the Roy Suite surprise. This video should play well except for those with slow dial-up connections.

Here is the story leading up to the video. We had brunch at Parrot Cay and the girls wanted to see if the stateroom was ready. It was just prior to 1:30 so the hallway barriers were still there, but we expected them to be taken away soon since the rooms are supposed to be ready by 1:30. We are standing by the aft elevators by deck 8 waiting impatiently :) when I suggested that Missy take her mother and aunt up to deck 10 to show them Palo while I wait with Sarah.

After they left Joyce (FamOf8) shows up and asks, “do they know yet?”. I said, “No, we are waiting to go to the room”. I told her that my family thinks we are visiting Chuck Maida (owner All Seasons Travel) first before going to the stateroom which is why we were on deck 8.

Joyce had with her a digital camera which also takes video. She volunteered to play videographer and to this day I can’t thank her enough. She followed behind so the video is of her trying to keep up with the craziness that broke out after the suite door opened. One funny thing that happened was she got (I think her purse) caught on the suite door handle on the way in so for a second the video took some wild turns.

I have seen this a hundred times and it still brings a smile to my face. I have much more video of the suite which I will post later so you can see the entire layout.

BTW...Yes, the baskets on the bed are from Shirley. In case you read this Shirley; thank you very much. The baskets were great. Sarah is still wearing here Cinderella glass slippers. :goodvibes

Any feedback on how this worked for those with slower connections would be appreciated. The Roy E. Disney Royal Suite Surprise Video

Thanks so much for sharing this vidio,

Oh cource I cant show it to my family otherwise I will never be able to take them in a cat 6 again lol
