The latest I heard was not until after the first of the year.

YAY ED! You did a great job with the countdown!!

I've heard that dates and rates for early 2008 (spring??) might be out within the next month or so, but that the dates and rates for the rest of 2008 would be out much later than that, like Andy said, in the beginning of 2007.

Now *I'm* waiting for 2009 to come out.

Just had an email from my friend at DCL and he seems to think that the dates for the first part of 2008, will be out at the end of this month, he is still not quite sure on the rest of 2008 as of yet.

Hope you are all well, we have made a choice of def going on the 16th August regardless of if it is a Western or Eastern as its Vickis 18th birthday on the 17th August and we really want to be onboard for that, and Vicki will need to be back at the end of August to decide if she wants to either stay on at collage for another year or go onto University depending on her results However he informs me that if the schedule remains as it is at the moment, then it should be a Western Itinery, which is what we really want, so fingers crossed.

Well, if DCL will do what they did last year and only release the dates for the first part of the year then we can pretty much guess the summer will have some kind of special itineraries.

Just wish we knew where. I doubt DCL would take the Magic away from the Caribbean for two summers in a row.

DH is fine with either 8/16 or 8/23 in '08. I'd really prefer the 16th as I don't want to be returning Labor Day weekend. Unless 8/23 is something special like the double dip.

And yes, we're waiting for '09, too.

In the near term - I just dropped off all our skis for a tuneup and confirmed details for our Christmas break ski trip.

I beg to differ with the information you received. I just went through 2008 dates starting with 12/29/07 the last sailing of 2007 which is a Western Caribbean. Going every other week from that sailing, would make August 16, 2008 an Eastern Caribbean and August 23, 2008 a Western Caribbean.

My mom starts her new job tonight, she'll be working 7pm until 7am tomorrow morning as a visiting companion.


I wanted to let everyone know that Hazel's sister Lisa had the stint put in this morning. The surgeon said everything is going well, and Lisa should be coming home on Saturday. Now that this surgery is over, Lisa has been moved to the top of the list for a kidney transplant.

Mary Rose: You are going to love the Dawn! We've sailed her twice & had a blast each time. There is nothing like being able to dine where & when you want to & the shows are wonderful! Book the Gem for the following April when you're on board! We ended up gettting a balcony cabin for the 4 of us directly thru NCL for 3800.00 with a free upgrade! It's a BB instead of a BD or BC which just means we have a cabin mid-ship on deck 9 instead of the front or back on deck 8 or 9. . I pretty much had my choice of stateroom since it doesn't look like too many people are crazy enough to book so far in advance. You've got to be a true Diser to do stuff like that!

Andy: Sounds like things are looking up for your family. I will keep you in my thoughts! BTW...Angelina looked so beautiful for her dance!

Hello everyone.. well we made reservations in NYC and have a hotel for 2 nights.. MARY ROSE>> does JOHN work on MONDAY?? maybe we can meet for lunch...
We will be delayed getting there on Sunday.. a very dear family friend and highly honored city POLICE OFFICER died suddenly here.. his services are tomorrow.. his family said I can go tonight to see him as a special viewing.. but I didnt want special treatment.. TO be honest.. he was the love of my life and my high school sweetheart.. His dad passed away while we were on our cruise and I felt awful that I wasnt able to be there for them... I sent a lovely card when we got home... that his mom said he read with great pride...
I guess we had that love that never found each other again.. His sisters called me and told me they found some old pics of us.. so I took out some photo albums as well.. WOWO was I skinny...!!!

Anyway.. thanks for letting me ramble.. If anyone is in NYC this week.. give me a call... We will leave there on Tuesady afternoon..

Doreen: I'm so sorry about the loss of your close friend It was so nice to talk to you today, and I hope you all have a safe trip to NYC this weekend.

Sue: We were at WDW last year at that same exact time!! Since we're going to WDW before and after our Disney Wonder cruise in February, we didn't plan any fall trips this year. I know that you and Vicki will have a great time. I love the weather there at this time of year.

Andy: Thanks for the updates on Lisa. I'm glad that the doctors feel that everything is going well for her!



Oh, and I've added a new countdown timer to my signature. It's now official; we're going on the 9-night Royal Caribbean cruise with my sister, BIL, niece, her husband, and their daughter, next October!

Terry...Congrats on the new cruise. Which ship?

Joanna: We'll be on the Explorer too, on the October 26th 2007 sailing out of NJ, which is a 9-night cruise. 4 days at seas, plus 4 ports: Labadee, Haiti (RCI's private beach); Casa De Campo, Dominican Republic; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. We're going on this specific sailing because we'll be cruising with my sister and her husband, and my niece and her family.

We had no plans to cruise next year other than our February Wonder cruise but we don't want to miss this opportunity to cruise with my family.

Terry...I'll take good care of her for you. Which cabin did you book? We booked 2 connecting Promenade cabins. I hear it is great for people watching. I'm not ready to have the kids across the hall from me.
Isn't February sooo far away? Funny how we are both doing the Wonder & the Explorer.

Good morning..
Well as expected.. i cant sleep.. My DD and I went to my high school sweet hearts parents house last night with food and we were there for hrs. We had a wonderful time catching up on times..His moms house was alwasy so inviting..
His present girfriend was there and she didnt mind me being there... as we sat and talked about how lucky he was to have had each other at the different parts of his life.. A fellow police officer came over as well and talked about what a wonderful "COP" PAT was to work with.. and what a wonderful honor it was to have known him and serve under him.. Like I said previously.. he has many many medals of honor and awards of bravery.. All he wanted was to be a dectective.. 2 siblings a grads of WEST POINT.. but he was out local hero!
Terry.. thanks for talking to me yesterday.. a piece of my life is gone.. and I need closure.. Like I said we were alway at different parts in our lives to be together again.. but he always holds a special place inmy heart.

Again.. thanks for letting me ramble.. This is the 2nd CALLAHAN.. that I have had to bury in 2 weeks time..the first was the soldier in IRAQ.. please no more!!
