I did it backwards! Most people are born in NY and move to NJ. I Was born and raised in NJ (always be a Jersey girl) but married my dh and moved to Brooklyn. We leave every summer and go to the beautiful Jersey shore (so I keep my sanity!)

I am one of those New Yorkers!! Lived my whole life in Brooklyn, then 6 years ago we moved here to NJ, The only draw back is that I still travel to Brooklyn every day to work, Oh how I hate that Staten Island expressway!!

East coasters take heart -- we had some not too awful storms last night and we've dropped back down to the mid 80s. It was a little rainy today, but oh so pleasant. Aaaaaahh.

OMG!!! I didn't log on for a couple of days because my computer is upstairs & it was registering 99 on the thermostat up there! Anyway it seems I missed a lot! It took me 45 minutes to catch up!!!

I checked out your BLOG site and loved the pictures, and the song.

BTW - Angelia is absolutely gorgeous!!! (I have a friend with the same name. She pronouces it, Angel-ia.) I hope that you are sitting there cleaning a gun or sharpening a really big knife when boys come by to pick her up! You're gonna need it over the next few years. It makes me glad that I have a boy, although I've spent years teaching him how women should be treated.

I was sorry to hear about her dating trauma a week or so ago. Tell her this for from me... "No boy is worth crying over. And those that are, won't make you cry." This is a quote from a young girl in grade-school. If she was that wise as a child, can you imagine what kind of woman she turned into? I'd love to meet her someday!

I hope that the temperature starts cooling down for you guys on the east coast. Here in Washington we have had unseasonably warm temperatures this year. Into the mid 90's, with some area hitting triple digits a week or so ago. Fortunately, we are back down into the mid-to-upper 70's in the last week. I work from home and don't have air conditioning. There were a couple of days that it got over 85 degrees in the house by 1 PM (A very sweaty -Yuk!).

I am literally counting the day to the cruise and working on a check-list of the things we're gonna need. It going to be so nice to see my friends from the "Hurricaine Frances" cruise and to meet all of my new friends from the boards. I can't wait to see all of you!!!

I hope today is the last day of this heat. For now, all my things in my life are running again (AC, van). Shhhhhhhh........ And the family is complaining that the AC in the house is too cold. Poppycock. Ahhhhhhhhh.........

PAULA.. Steves Wife answerd that for ya,hehe.. you will become one after this cruise.. It took me 2 yrs to get my CC gift. honest I just got it 2 weeks ago. I think DANIEL finally got his CC club card maybe this MAY. he had a number but not a visable card..i got so many stories that only over 13 got cards..but when I read the policy to a cast memeber on the phone ,... and asked for a supervisor .. it was sent right out..

I finally finsished my own door signs (I had made a some for a few special friends. ). The glue was almost dry on the last one when my DD started telling what she wanted for a door sign for the next cruise. One at a time......one at a time...........

We never got cards for my DH or the children. I was the only one to get a card. I never understood if it was for the entire family or if we should each get one?

The CC gift sounds nice. We have liked the towel and the blanket.

Am I the only one in the group watching America's Got Talent? I am so impressed by some of the acts - especially the kids. Just give them a few years and we'll be hearing all about them. (Of course, some others are just totally lame.)

Hmm.. I just heard from a reliable birdie that all our BAD weather in NY has been from NJ people,...lol Don't ask me how that occurs.. but its a very reliable source... ( that what her dog thinks anyway..)

You should get one for everyone in the family.. That is what I was told. Any one that cruises is now a CASTAWAY MEMBER and you get that special number.. I guess the number is more important than the card.. my son wanted the status of having his own card to show off,,lol

Andy - Thanks for the postcard. Just the boost we needed in my house this week. It was so thoughtful of you. Congrats on the passport. I had to go get my MIL & SIL new birth certificates and at $30.00 a piece I wish we had just gotten them passports.

Ed - glad the eye is healing, sorry to hear about the poisen ivy. I had it on my behind once and you should of seen me trying to explain that to my Mother. I actually think it was from falling off a bike and my shorts riding up a little.

I am really kind of surprised with the storms, it rained here for about an hour with some pretty intense lightning and thunder around 10:00 PM, but it didn't cool down much at all. Oh well, here's to going to Florida were the weather is nicer.

Ed.. I had to buy a new camera after all. The camera incident from CHICAGO.. ended up with it not working a few days ago.. I bought one in CHI.. but then mine was working so i sent it back.. I went to take a pic the other day.. and no view finder. It takes pics.. but at $170 to repair it.. I am beter off getting a new one..

I am going to look for another repair place other than RITZ to see if it can be repaired for maybe $100 after the cruise... I loved the camera I had though. The store in CHI.. on WABASH street could have fxed it for $75 but needed 4 days.. I was not going to be there that long.. BUMMER.. maybe I should send it to him,,lol
