Update on Caitlin's eye, The doctor says it is healing nicely, it had a slight tear in it from the elbow in the eye that hit her.
(Kids were fooling around and one fell into her, and elbow striked the eye)

She need to take eye drops for a couple more days but all is well)

We got lucky on this one, it could have been much worse.

Im still itching like crazy from the posion ivy I got from doing some yard work
It was buried under a pile of vines and I didnt see it until I started to break out
That was last week, Its only starting to heal now, with anyluck it hopefully will be cleared up by next friday

The heat is indirectly making it worse.

The sweating is causing the lotion I use to calm the itching to wear off quicker

I just received the following message from a friend that is on the Magic this week. They were at Cozumel yesterday and I asked Flo if they had to tender in.

Hi Andy,
Yes we did tender. They went by numbers/ You had to meet in the movie show. As you walked in they gave you a number.
If you had a morning excursion you meet in the place were all the people going on that excursion were. It took about maybe at the most 10 minutes. They were working on the docks. It looks like they are doing good. We were docked close. Two of the Carnival ships were far out. For us you could see Cozumel, I don't think they could.
We had the early dinner. When were were there they keep paging a family. I think they may have been left or the cards did not work when they got back on.
The last tender left Cozumel at 6:00.

GREETINGS FROM THE NEW JERSEY SHORE!!!!!

We've been here since Saturday and staying for a week and timed it perfectly for this heat wave.

IT IS SCORCHING HOT ON THE BEACH. Temps hit 99 yesterday. Unless you are actually IN the water there is no relief being on the beach as the wind blowing off the shore is blistering hot.

Ocean temps are cold - the winds blowing from the southwest are pushing the warm surface water out to sea and bringing up colder water deeper down.

So pick your poison - either broil on the sand or freeze in the water.

All four of us had surfing lessons this morning. Yes, I stood up on the board I am so thrilled. I told DH we're buying a surf board next summer.

DCL needs to create a surfing excursion.

Hey, seems like you guys posted like a hundred pages since Saturday. I need speed reading lessons.

Yes, we're booked for the 3 reef snorkeling trip with Eagle Ray Divers in Cozumel. Would love to join everyone else on the way over. I think we gather in the Walt Disney Theater to wait for the tender.

My TA said our cruise documents will be here any day now.

Yes, we'll be wearing Andy's t-shirts on 8/19.

Well, I'm not so white-skinned anymore. I've got a face full of freckles (got enough Irish blood for that). But I've put on so much suntan lotion this week I think its seeped into my bloodstream.

Going crabbing tomorrow since the temps will only be in the upper 80s.

Its gotta be cooler in Mexico than this.

Boy! Makes me glad that Poison Ivy isn't common around here. We get to deal with nettles instead. Another plant similar to Poison Ivy, which leaves a burning rash if you come into contact with it, although bathing nettle wounds with vinegar helps a lot to releave the burn. (Been there, done that a couple times in my childhood. I've learned to avidly avoid it since then.) Hope you heal up quickly, Ed!
