Hello All
It seems that some names that I had posted on the stateroom list might have gotten lost in a post. If you can take a min. please take a look and see that you name and number is on the list. Thanks, Tina

Oh, forgot to mention that halfway through our stay at the beach that DD got a double ear infection. She did the exact same thing last year at the beach. Fortunately there is a terrific local doctor who handles walk-ins.

Turns out DD picks up bacteria from the ocean since she spends more time under the water than above.

I asked what can we do to prevent this from happening. Doc said that after you're done swimming in the ocean to put a couple of drops of white vinegar in your ears. Helps neutralize the bacteria.

So now I'm going to pack a small bottle of vinegar and a dropper for the cruise.

Tina -- Somewhere between page 637 and 643 we disappeared. Unless we got a super secret upgrade we're still in 2548 near Snow White.

Ed -- I hope you're all cleared up in time for that big birthday bash!

Molly -- Happy belated birthday!

I'm hitting that "deer in headlights" portion of my summer vacation where I have so much to do that I can't seem to do anything!

This is the lyrics to the Disney song "Remember the Magic" that is on My Cruise Blog page on my website:

Can you remember
Back to a simpler time
Back to the watercolor days
That still run through your mind

Oh, I remember just my old
friend and me
Runnin' through an open field
The way it used to he

The feeling that our hearts could
just take wings
We could live out all our dreams
The journey there was never far away

But like a dream come true
That's still inside of you
The secret of tomorrow is
To live your dreams today

Remember the night
Remember the feeling
Remember the magic
In our lives

You opened up my eyes
To a new world revealing
So remember the magic
Just remember the magic
One more time
Oh, remember
Do you remember
The way it used to feel
When love was only make-believe
And fairy tales were real

Oh, I remember
You were with me once again
Free to live our fantasies
It never has to end

The feeling that our hearts
would just take wings
We could live a world of dreams
Together we would sail against the wind
And now I know where to begin
How to find it all again
From now until forever

Remember the time
Remember the feeling
Remember the magic
In your eyes

You opened up my heart
And you gave life new meaning
So remember that feeling
Just remember the magic
One more time
One more time
Remember the magic

Have you thought about getting her some earplugs to wear while she's swimming? I know that a lot of folks that get 'water on the ear' do that too.

I am from NY originally.....Brooklyn to be exact. I think the beach break is a better choice because I have a 5 y/o DD who might be afraid.

I did it backwards! Most people are born in NY and move to NJ. I Was born and raised in NJ (always be a Jersey girl) but married my dh and moved to Brooklyn. We leave every summer and go to the beautiful Jersey shore (so I keep my sanity!) :)

GREETINGS FROM THE NEW JERSEY SHORE!!!!!

We've been here since Saturday and staying for a week and timed it perfectly for this heat wave.

IT IS SCORCHING HOT ON THE BEACH. Temps hit 99 yesterday. Unless you are actually IN the water there is no relief being on the beach as the wind blowing off the shore is blistering hot.

Ocean temps are cold - the winds blowing from the southwest are pushing the warm surface water out to sea and bringing up colder water deeper down.

So pick your poison - either broil on the sand or freeze in the water.

All four of us had surfing lessons this morning. Yes, I stood up on the board    I am so thrilled. I told DH we're buying a surf board next summer.
.

Hi, we're at the Jersey shore too! I agree about the beach, yesterday I ran up there and it was like the Sahara desert! You couldnt even walk on the sand. by the time i got into the water, a crab bit me! then i sat down on the beach and 2 green head flies bit me, so i packed it in for the day! going to wait til its a little cooler to go back up. My dd surfs, took lessons here a few years ago, she now has 3 boards (we found at garage sales) She did the surfing lessons at typhoon lagoon during Easter and loved it. It is early in the morning though about 6am way before the park opens. I am going to call to see if there is anything available the 14-18th before we leave on the cruise.

Born and raised in Central New Jersey. My parents bought a shore house (shack) back in 1969 from Grandmother. About two years ago they completely demolished the shack and now have built a nice retirement home (my dad is a general contractor - he designed the house).

The house is in Ortley Beach which is in between Lavallette and Seaside Heights. From infancy to my teenage years I spent my summers at the shore so I am a little overexposed, but I still go down once or twice a year with the family to visit Mom and Dad.

NICE Home BUDDY bear... I love those kind of PORCHES..

WAHOO.. my son just called me from camp. I guess they had to be immobilized 3 timed due to the weather.. They are not really happy with the bed situation.. Its a bunk bed style with no mattress on top only a leather sling..lol He will be ready for the MAGIC.. He told me thats all he keeps telling himself,, 2 more weeks of pampering.. 2 more week...

It is very opressive with the HUMDIDITY so it hard to sleep in the tents. He earned his merit badges so he is very happy with that as well.!!! He said they had temp of 101 with heat index 117*. YIKES.. he has clases during free swim time too..

What happened to the chatty bunch we have had.. I took a 3 hrs nap tonight and now I am awake.. I am catching up on my lia sophia work here...
BEV you should be getting mail soon and the BIG BROWN TRUCK should be coming soon...

DOREEN
