We are home! It looks like I missed a busy weekend with proms and birthdays and dr and hospital visits. Hope all is well with everyone!
We spent the weekend in the hospital. Stan did have a drain installed, poor guy. His temp was 103.2 on Thur evening. So we took him in through ER on Fri. They pumped him with antibiotics and it finally broke last night. This drain is really weird, not like his other one. this one is very noticeable and can't be hidden in his pants. I'm afraid he will hook it on something and pull it out again. They said this is the last drain they will install...if this doesn't resolve it the next step is surgery to remove the offending section of colon. I half wish they had just done it this time and gotten it over with. And I am not one to jump at surgery.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERRY! I'm so glad to hear that you had some good news and will keep you in prayer for the rest. Don't borrow tomorrows troubles, take them one at a time.
Lyn - I am so sad for you that your son won't be able to make it home. Employers really need to be more family-friendly. I know you tried not to make your son feel bad. That is what moms do. But I sure want to cry with you!
Bev - Lindsay looks like she enjoyed her Prom! How cool to go in a carriage. I didn't go to my senior prom because my "boyfriend" (future 1st husband) had already asked someone else and I didn't want to go without "him". Boy was that stupid. I had gone to the Prom as a Junior so I didn't miss out entirely. But I sure wish I had that decision to make over again. To make up for it my oldest son went to 4 Proms! By the time Sandy goes I may need to take out a loan! JK! How are you feeling?
I know I am missing some important stuff, like DORI - Soap Opera stars make big bucks. But it's not an easy place to live...hope everything smooths out for you pronto!
going out for Marty, Diane's DD, Terry's dad and sister, and Dave.
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
