((((Dave)))) I hope he is feeling better soon.

And you guys are making me HUNGRY!!! We arent hitting the World again for a while and some of favorite dining places are there!!!

Terry... How about heading over the the Boardwalk area for lunch after your Segway tour?? Spoodles, Flying Fish, The Brewery Place (cant recall the name) Although the Boardwalk is more fun at night.. a stroll over there is quite lovely and the dining options plentiful. Just a thought.

Still no airfare out for our September(DCL) and October(Girls cruise) trips via SWA.... I hate the waiting game.

Hi Guys

My goodness the boards have been terribly slow since I got back from Valencia, this is the 3rd time I have tried posting. We had a lovley time in Valencia, good weather and the hotel was out of this world, but we were very very dissapointed with the food and the lack of anything really exciting to see. Took an open top bus tour, and it was so boring I feel asleep.

Since coming home I have come out in a terrible rash which is really itchy, so I had to go to the Doctors today and he says it looks like an allergy to something I may have eaten whilst I was there. Anyway he has given me some antihistamines. I am so uncomfortable at the moment.

Andy: I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt, my thoughts and prayers are with you all right now.

Mary: Hope Bryan is feeling much better now.

Doreen: Congrats to Daniel and hope you are feeling better.

Ed: How are the PS bookings going?Any news on the AP rates?

Terry: Hello my friend, how are you. Things are great with us now :sunny:

Barb: Good luck with your PS's. I will be joining in the double digit dance soon with you.

Ginny: Good luck for you and bob.

Laura: Hope you get the flights you want.

Darlene: Howa are you and Stan? Hope everything is fine.

Tina: Hello my nieghbour, how are things, my nephew David I was telling you about has got himself a job, and my sister says he is doing really well.

To all my other cruise buddies :wave2:

Speak Soon

Sue

just spoke w/Dave - he's doing the "lets wait and see dance"
had blood drawn already, now they have him waiting a few hrs, will take more blood in a while, etc - before they decide to keep him overnight or not

Barb: I hope Dave will be ok! I've heard that it's a very painful condition to have :( Keep us posted.

Laura: That's a great idea...I'll have to see how tired my legs are after the Segway tour. I've read a lot of reviews about it and many people said their legs were *really* tired after standing on the Segway for 2 hours! Either way, I definitely want to get to the Boardwalk area and check it out :) Like you mentioned, it might be fun to check it out at night, all lit up.

Sue: Welcome back! :wave2: I'm glad you had a good time, but sorry you didn't find it very interesting. I hope the rash clears up soon.

Barb-- :wizard: on the way to Dave.....my mom had an attack of the same thing last year, she was in the ER for about 8 hours and was running a high fever. I hope Dave feels better soon!!!

Sue--sorry to hear your trip was not quite what you expected, feel better!!!

thanks for the pixie dust - Dave just called - he's just been discharged - wants him to follow up w/his own doc and maybe sched a colonoscopy - he had 2 two yrs ago and was told maybe in 10yrs - guess it may be a little sooner than that - but its better to have the test than to have things worse in the future

Barb--happy to hear that Dave has been discharged!!! Isn't it fun growing up!!!

Funny I never thought I be this excited about paying so much money for a vacation :rotfl2: But now I have a total of 12 days at WDW for less than my dw was going to pay for our orginal 7 day package.

Awesome!!! I miss the chase... LOL Since DVC, I do sort of miss scoring good resort discounts! But then again, when I walk into any 2 bedroom villa it all goes ****Poof**** (I suppose DVC ers version of the code chase is the 11 month window day by day reservations!)

GINNY<, that would be awesome and what are the chances that both of you get an interview at the same time for the same area>????? :goodvibes .. ALl the best of luck to the both of you... At least this way DANIEL where know where GINNY is....

TERRY.. sounds like you have your trip all set... you have room for one more in there?? Oh I am sure Jaclyn can pass for over 18 at 17 yrs old... and CRAIG can still sneak in at night to the STACK... DANIEL will even be able to go there as well at "13".

Glad DAVE is doing well.. Diverticulitis is a pain in the GUT,,lol and colonoscopys are not fun either.. :wizard: to him...

Sue, glad to hear your behaving on your side of the pond as well.. Before you know it you will be here as well... :wave2:

TINA..I had to get permission from my ex for my son's PASSPORT.. I told him if I ever wanted to go to NIAGRA FALLS I needed it anyway.. NEEDLESS to say we had the "LOST AT SEA CRUISE" already booked and paid for. I never said he was smart... :cool1: He signed the paper and I sent it to the govt.. and I got the passport in afew wks later.. Good luck. I hope your EX is resonable to you....

Have a great night
DOREEN

Terry - we did the fury catamaran excursion during the lost at sea cruise and LOVED IT. Would definately do it again. They take you on a huge catamaran and you go snorkeling first, then you go to Fury's private beach for a while and they have hammocks, volleyball nets, kayaks and mats to sunbathe on and then when you head back to the ship its at least a 45 minute ride on the catamaran and the margaritas and beer and soda are flowing, music playing, conga lines going around the boat.

On another note - its been an exciting couple of days here in in NJ. Monday afternoon I get a call at work from the recruiter in Orlando telling me they want to fly me down next Monday night & Tuesday for an interview for a position I applied for with my current company. Then while I'm on the phone with the travel dept making ressies - Bob calls me on my cell and tells me that the people he phone interviewed with a week ago are flying him down this Friday to interview. Both positions are located in Lakeland - how cool would that be.

Im glad we spent all weekend doing stuff around the house - hopefully it will be going on the market very soon and we will be on our way to Florida.

Wish us luck!!!

Ginny: I'm glad that the Catamaran excursion is a good one, I'm looking forward to it for the August 2006 cruise! :boat:

And definitely keep us posted about both of your job prospects in Florida!!! Wouldn't that be something if you AND Bob each got transferred????? How far is Lakeland from Orlando?? :earboy2:

Barb: I'm glad Dave is out of the hospital. I hope he doesn't have another flare-up anytime soon.

Andy: Thanks for that info, I just went on the DCL web site and I can see my reservation :teeth:

HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY, DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

whats on the new website? we can make our ressies online at 90 days for Palo, kids clubs, etc?

Barb: The entire look of DCL's website is new. I've only given it a quick look, but it seems that it may have a little more info than the old page. And you can now book things online. If you're a Castaway Club member, you can book online at 90 days out. If you're new to DCL, you have to wait until 75 days out. And I believe I read that if you're staying in a concierge level cabin, you can book at 105 days out.

You also can "build" an itinerary, even now, using the new "Wish List" feature. As you look through the various excursions, you can click on a small heart shaped icon and it will save it for you. It's definitely worth taking the time to check out all the new features on the DCL site :)

Here is an interesting thread, if you haven't already seen it: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=808179
Andy: Thank you ,Thank you, Did I remember to say Thank you !! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Ginny: Sending good vibes your way. Hope you both get the jobs. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Terry: Imagine how jammed the DCL site will be 90 days out for our cruise. :rotfl:

Sue: Nice to see you back. Sorry about the rash. Hope it clears up soon. :wizard: So glad David is doing well ! Jonathan is on the track team. His grades are up big time.

Mary: Glad Bryan is feeling better. :cheer2:

Bev: How are you?

Anyone heard from Mary Rose lately?? Hello to everyone else I missed. Tina

Andy: Wow I am so excited that I don't have to get on board and run to Palo, the kid's club, etc. I also heard they are experimenting with new menus? I hope they have that all figured about by 90 days out because I want to know which menu I'm missing when I book Palo. Can you tell my cruise revolves around food? LOL

BTW...sorry to hear about your Aunt. I had to drive to the Cape for my Uncle's wake Thurs. nt. It is about 2 1/2 hrs from here with no traffic. I left at 3:00 to pick up my brother at the airport (he works there), we paid our respects, had a bite to eat, & I got home at 11:00 that nt. THAT was a looong day!

Terry: We are working on our next trip too. We booked our Florida vacation for the last week in July & 1st week in Aug. I would've loved to meet up with you folks that will be in Disney mid Aug. but I have school. We will be visiting family & then going to P.C. July 31st for the same rate we paid for POFQ last July. I know the AP rates are out but they are not much better than the AAA rate I got so I don't think it's worth the money to purchase. We will be heading back before the cruise next year but that's just over a year so AP won't work for that either. I guess we will buy 10 day non-exp. & use half this year & the other half next year. We also thought about the dining plan but if you purchase that it has to be a pkg. & cancels out the AAA rate. So many decisions!

Ginny: Best of luck with the job prospects! I am counting down the days till my DH can retire and we can move to the sunshine state too! Hopefully just 2 more misearable, dreary, and cold winters left! But who's complaining? LOL

Sue: Sorry about your rash!

Barb: Glad Dave is out of the hospital!

Mary: Glad Bryan is better too!

So much to keep up on in this thread but I want to wish everyone the best! Stay healthy!!!

Diane

Hi All,

Made my quarterly payment for the August 2006 cruise this morning, it's nice to see that balance get lower!!!

I also just booked our flights for our August 2005 WDW vacation a few minutes ago. Yes, we are flying Southwest again, LOL!!! Got a decent deal and didn't want to take any chances, I guess you know where I will be at 12:01am the day of our flight, LOL!!!

I had to work this morning, so Hazel and my mom attended my aunt's funeral. Hazel just called and said everything went well.

Time to get my lunch.

I don't know if anyone can use this, but I just got an email that USA3000 has airfares to Orlando for $59 each way. I am thinking about going the end of September, since I got that discount email from Disney yesterday.
I can get two roundtrip tickets for $276.80. USA3000 is the airline that Apple Tours uses and they really have fun on the plane they play games and everything.

Lyn
