Calling All 8/19/06 Special Western Cruisers! AKA "The Cruisin' Castaways" Part 2

Hi everybody:

Just got in; Tuesday, 2pm. We were supposed to drive home yesterday but the torrential rains, strong winds, and flooding kept us in NJ for an extra day. Good thing my sons hadn't missed any days of school yet, since now they've been out the last 2 days.

Had a great time in NJ, spent all of my time with my sister and niece and their families, and my father, and other relatives we saw at the anniversary party on Saturday.

I have unpacking to do, then laundry. I'll try and read what I've missed later. But to be honest, even before I went away I wasn't doing a great job of keeping up with all of the posts.

I hope everyone is doing well.

What are you getting yourself into? I think there will be many more cruisers on this thread than last year's. And when they find out what a marvelous, creative job you do on the magnets, everyone will want them.

Evening All,

Well I am feeling much better today thanks, the cuts are healing and the aching is almost gone. Only 3 more days of my quiz to host, so I will be back on Friday getting fully up to date. Vicki and I are going out for a lovley meal on Thursday as it is my birthday and we are really looking forwrd to it, a very nice Itialian Resturant just around the corner from us.Pouring down with rain today after a beautiful weekend.

Hello all! Oh my the drive home last night! We only got a few inches but they thought we would just get a dusting. Not really snow but sluch. Very tricky driving home, pushed that way, pulled this way. I had it in 4-wheel drive and not sure if it helped or made it worse?? Many, many accidents. One of Tim's employees totaled (sp does not look right) anyway... his car. Nothing broken but lots of bruises. They are saying it will easily be in the 50's tomorrow

All the "excitment" is catching up with me I think. I am a bit "testy" so will close before my poor attitude comes across.

Lyn: Thanks I am getting VERY excited about my trip. Only 3 more days.

Heather: I cheated a little on the packing. Since Chuck is already in Vegas I threw some stuff in his suitcase. My one suitcase just wouldn't cut it. I will be packed by tomorrow.

Jennifer: CONGRATS on the adoption going through. So happy for your family.

Sue: Glad to hear that you are healing.

Andy: Glad your feeling better. I am also glad I am not flying Southwest. I am flying Northwest. It will be a LONG day for sure. I leave my house Friday at 7:00 am and finally arrive Las Vegas 5:00 8:00 our time. Great pictures !! Really liked your "New House"

I like to do it....Cindy and the kids help to cut out the magnets, and find the many characters online we need to make the magnets with..

Funny thing about the new car, I received a letter from the dealership earlier in the week alerting me to the sale. As part of this promotion in addition to the car, they were giving away a 13 inch flat screen TV,

So now I have a new car and new tv

Good morning! yes, another nice day here as well. Hopefully it will make it well into the 50's like they are calling for. Over the weekend I bought some spring clothes and have the capries on now. I also left my windows down a tad

AND I "trimmed" my bangs this morning , now I HAVE to go get the rest cut....hey, it is going to grow back

Hello everyone, hope all our northeast friends are enjoying this great day. I think spring has finally come

We got a rude awakening with our $40,000.00 estimate to remodle our 2 & 1/2 baths ! We also have plans on remodeling the kitchen so.........we are now thinking of buying a new house. We went back and forth with this before we started getting estimates, but decided we have done so much to the house and love our neighbors to much to move. It also makes a difference that DH was told yesturday he is getting another promotion and this one is bigger than the last! I am so proud of him. He is only 33 and with a GED, has managed to climb way up the corporate ladder. He is an excellent manager. The best part is he loves this job. The bad part is he has to commute to N. Jersey every day. Anyway...if we do sell, we have alot to do to the house first!
