Hello Everyone... I guess my little surgery took more of a toll on me than I thought. I have not been able to sit for long periods of time so I have not been on here in over 2 weeks just about..

First of all... WELCOME BACK MARY ROSE.. AKA CARMEN I have missed your friendly bantering... So glad to hear you are still on board.. And I am assuming with your 100 lb back pack??

Welcome to the the new familes of family of 8 and LYNN and her son.. ( I to was a single mom of 2).. Please feel free to jump right in and have fun. I can' wait to meet everyone and feel liek family once again.. ITs a long over due vacation in this household..

Please keep in thought Marty's mom.. she is back in the hospital and now with days to weeks.. the CANCER has spread and now is in system by system shut down.. She is still repsonsive and in fact we went for a walk today around the floor. In the mist.. of the tears we walked and cried. Marty is finding it very difficult since its HIS mom.. Me being a nurse... I can handle it a bit better.. but it hurts just the same. She lives for her house.. and I wish we could just take her home.. but his DARN SISTER wants more stuff done..

Well anyway..TERRY have a great time in DISNEY>> I am so sorry we never got to catch up with each other before you left.. Enjoy it to the MAXX!!
We still plan to do the catamaran for 4 in COZUMEL.. and parasailing on CC the first time around. Other than that,... I am game for anything..

Well my peace and quite is over .. Daniel got his cast off today but has to use some other type of immobilzer for another 4 weeks.. At least her can shower the right way now.!!

Doreen,I meant to ask so many times how you were but each time I got caught up in something else... really hope you are feeling better. So sorry to hear about Marty's mom, we went through the same with John's uncle recently.. it is so hard to watch, I think more than anything it was the helplessness that frustrated us. It's all too common..

Now I'm gone again, I'm only on page 6 of Jen's cruise review and I need to know the ending. Jen - it is a fantastic review! I will have to be kept away from the bingo... only played once before but I have a feeling that I could get hooked! (get it!)

HEYYYYY Doreen!!!!!! Missed you!! Let's catch up, okay? First, why can't you sit down, did you have a serious surgery? Also, my prayers for Marty's Mom and of course for Marty (and all of you). There are really no words at a time like this and I'm sorry. And as far as my 100 pound backpack, I have it and it's ready to rock & roll!!! I still need to look into that battery operated smoothie maker though!

Hi Jen - How are you! As far at the Dis being blocked at work. My company uses a filter called Websense which cuts us off from anything fun on the internet. What are they thinking? Do they want me to do work or something for my pay? LOL!

So we have about 100 days until we depart huh? Well if I start a strict diet now can I lose 100 pounds by the cruise? Seriously, though I started low-carbing last Monday to try and get some weight off before the cruise. The idea of dragging this overweight body around the scorching hot Carribbean is too much to think about! Wish me luck.

Hi Guys,

I am sending you a very warm and greeting from Lake County, Florida!!!

Our flight out of Philly left nearly 90 minutes late due to bad thunderstorms that were taking place here in the Orlando area. We finally arrived just before 9pm, and by the time we got our luggage and our rental car it was 10pm. We left the airport and headed for my mom's, about 15 minutes into the ride we were pelted with heavy rains for the next 30 minutes or so. I'm not complaining one bit though because I know they need all the rain they can get down here right now. We finally arrived at my mom's at 11:15pm, safe and sound, and a wee bit tired.

The "Earplanes" worked GREAT!!! Thanks Terry for the tip!!!

Everyone else is still sleeping here but me, LOL!!! I have a few more messages to check, then I have to make a trip to the corner store to get some 2% milk for Hazel. We will be heading down to the port area early this afternoon, as it is only about a 90 minute drive from my mom's.

I did write in my journal during the flight, but those notes are in my laptop, and I haven't hooked that up yet, I'm sitting here using my mom's computer this morning.

(Now, I've lived in MANY places, so the people on these boards are probably thinking "didn't she say she used to live in X? in Y? in Z?!!!

Mary Rose, ah, to carb or not to carb. I would be happy with even just 15 lbs between now and August!!! Alas, that has been an ongoing - losing (actually, not losing) - battle! I'll try to let the cruise date inspire me; anyone else setting some weight loss goals before cruising?

anyone else setting some weight loss goals before cruising?

Jen, currently with WeightWatchers and have a goal to lose another 14 lbs before the cruise... Fingers Crossed and Mouth Closed (to anything that is bad to eat!)

Was on page 6 of your review last night when disaster struck, the Castaway page wouldn't appear and I can't find the link - any chance you would post it here for me?? I am really enjoying it! Thank you!

Moira, my mom has had great success on WeightWatchers! She lost a great deal of weight on it about 18 years ago, and goes back on maintenance with WW from time to time. Good luck!!!

3 months from TODAY, The car is packed and We are on are way to FL .

Oh and I start my 3 week vacation!!!!!!

4 days at Disney, A week on the crusie and then a slow drive back to CT. Arriving home just before the start of the labor day weekend.

So if we go to Universal Studios before the cruise, will they let us board? We're driving down, too, and have some flexibility. My DH just wants to leave Wednesday or Thursday, but I'm lobbying for leaving on Tuesday and spending two days at Universal. I can get a really good rate through my employees association at the Fairfield Inn accross the street, $165 for three nights, and that includes tax.

Doreen: I hope you get to take Marty's Mom home, as me and my family can understand completely her need to be home. My father-in-law passed away last August at 91. He was in the hospital, but desperately wanted to go home. The social worker would only agree to have him released to a nursing home. My DH and his sister argued with her, and she threatened to have to have them removed from the decision! Eventually she agreed to let him go home if there would be 24 hour nursing care. We hired Bayada nurses, who were wonderful, and he happily spent his last days listening to his music and flirting with the nurses. It was the best thing we could have done for him. I hope everything works out for you and your family as best it can.

Hello Everyone.. Thank you for all your support and understanding and allowing me to vent last night.
We are in under heavy rains and thunder and lightening storms.. We really need the rain already...

JOANNA congrats on the booking... I doubt we can do that since we will be in FLORIDA on APRIL 29th for a week next yr.. Although it will be easier to drive to NJ....

ED, I like your version of AUGUST>> I hope it goes that smooth for you..

Mine would go something like this.. Wake up.. Late.. throw last minute stuff into suitcase.. get dogs set, gets husband ready, gets kids ready.. TRY to load 10 suitcases into car that fits 6 suitcases.. and get to airport.. get into car.. get out of car since kids forgot something.. go to MAIN road of airport ( 5 min from house) I forgot PASSPORTS.. go back to house.. Now everyone is saying GREAT IS THIS THE WAY THE VACATION IS GOING TO BE?? get checked in. (2 hrs early) for no reason.. BORED already.. read the paper.. read the want ads, read the stocks.. and so on... We get to board.. and we have to get off... trouble with landing gear.. 20 min later we get back on... we missed our connection!! So far not very happy..

Finally, they find another flight for us.. 4 hrs later.. Now we are really hungry.. Jaclyn NEEDS to eat.. we almost miss the flight since she has to have that smoothie and NACHOS!!
We land in FLORIDA... YEAH!!! Where is KAREN.. She had a great on time flight and took her own car to the RADDISSON.. 6 hrs ago.. Its now 1030pm.. not to much happening at the airport.. Is that Ginny I see.. No Not GINNY.. I forgot she is not going..
1230 am we get to the RADDISSON.. EXHAUSTED.. crash on the bed that BEV reserved for us. guess what only one bed since we get there late..lol STORY OF OUR LIVES!!
730AM.. get us to the SHUTTLE after breakfest.. we see TERRY,BEV,TINA, MARY ROSE and I think who I think is LYNN.. FINALLY we are on the SHIP...
RELAXED... smoothies, a bit of MARY ROSE EXILIRS..lol CHEESE TRAYS>> PALOS>> CCx2 STORM ahead.. we make a U turn to TEXAS.. another 10 day CRUISE>. now lucky are we..
now its back to PORT CANAVERAL .. we say our GOODBYES... and plan for our next 2 yr reunion all over again...

She got us a stuffed Mickey Life guard, 2 Disney mini fans that light up, mini rose candles, luggage tag, travel journal................Is everyone still reading? plastic travel bag FILLED with things--------plastic bottles,tweezers,nail clippers,nail polish remover pads Mickey & Minnie magic towel, soft body sponge. We also got 2 waterproof pouches to protect our Key to world card and other stuff. We also got a really nice Mickey mouse Tote bag.We LOVE everything !!!!! I hope I didn't leave anything out. All we can say is......
