..I see that all of your have 7-year olds who will be the oldest of the old in the OC! I know my DD would love to correspond a little bit to know who's who there!?!

Hi Flexsmom! My DD is 7 weeks short of her 7th birthday on the cruise .. but will LOVE hanging out with the older kids!!!

Tina/Andy - we are so far away from it all here - is there trouble with fires??! Hope everyone is ok....

Lynn, I was a lurker too but now I am addicted! Doesn't take long to lose the shyness! And what a huge group going!

Yes, Central Florida is having a lot of trouble with grass fires, and they just have to let them burn themselves out. It's been rather nasty down there.

Andy: Thank you also for the link. My in-laws used to live in the New Smyrna Beach area, so we know it well. My DH was wondering where exactly the brush fires were this year (he spent a memorable 4th of July with his parents in 1999 in a hotel in Orlando because they had been evacuated b/c the fires were right on the other side of 95 from his parents), so I let him know about the link.

Diane: Thanks for noticing my Grandmother. Sometimes it's hard to keep up on all these posts. They were married 63 years, Although she has a lot of spunk she is very sad right now. We are all going back down on Memorial Day weekend to spend time with her. This time I am bringing Dante to keep her company. Have you been making any cruise plans lately?

Tina: That's nice of you to spend time with your grandmother. I'm sure she really appreciates it at such a difficult time.

It is tough to keep up on this thread now. I think everyone is getting excited & chatty! LOL I did mention a page or two back that we are going to book the Chacchoben ruins in Costa Maya & the Sea Lion show in Cozumel. Other than that, I don't think we are planning on much. I like to just play it by ear.

Andy: It's sad to see all those fires in Florida. My heart goes out to those that have had to be evacuated.

Hi everyone! Has anyone figured out which night is Pirate night? I read that Monday is formal night and Thursday is Semi-formal. I can't wait until this itinerary starts so we can see some navigators and figure out other plans! I absolutely cannot wait for this vacation!

Diamond Girl: I think that Wednesday night will be Pirate night, just as it usually is on the western itineraries. We won't know for sure until the May 27th cruisers return, they're the first of the double dip cruises


Andy: Do you think the fires will interfere with flights arriving at MCO? We're flying out on Thursday morning. It's pouring rain here today, I wish I could send it down to Florida to help out with the fires

I haven't heard of any flights being cancelled because of the fires. We fly out late Thursday afternoon.

We are going to reserve thru DCL. The David & Ivan tour sounds wonderful but DH prefers to do excursions directly thru DCL.

Massachusetts is now experiencing torrential rain & winds now too! Yuck!

I'm going to be really busy tomorrow getting ready for our trip to Disney World on Thursday. I still have to get my summer clothes, and suitcases, out of the attic, and then pack.

We'll be down to "14 weeks to go!!!" on this Friday, so if someone else wants to post the countdown, that'd be great.

Couldn't go to bed tonight on the brink of my 800th post, so here goes!

800th POST!!! WOO HOO!!!! Little did I know when I chanced upon these boards just two years ago that I'd become a DIS addict (and have made some very good friends along the way!).

Well, I've accomplished at least THAT today! Time for bed; g'nite y'all!

Terry: I would be happy to post the countdown. can ya tell? With all that you have going on............time for this cruise will fly by.

Once you get your package you can reveal who you have..........of course I know who has everyone. If you prefer to wait till others get there's that's o.k too. I guess sooner or later it will be a process of elimination of trying to figure out who has who.

Yes, those bathrooms, even though there are 2 parts to them, are pretty small. But not as small as the bathrooms on some other cruise ships, believe me. LOL I believe that both of the bathrooms each have those shelves. I only have sons, not daughters, so those shelves were plenty of room for us to store our toiletries on. If you had daughters, then probably not.

Hi everyone

Well in a few minutes I'll be leaving for my manicure and pedicure appointment, then coming home and packing to go to Disney World tomorrow!

I think I've updated the itinerary page with everyone's excursions and activities. If you see something that should be added, or something there that shouldn't be, please let me know and I'll make the corrections. I've got a million things on my mind right now. I still have to add Joyce and Lynn to the list of cruisers on Page 1 of this thread; I hope to get a chance to do that later today.

Well it's come to this I am leaving now to take Dante to his first private Agility lesson. I gave him a bath last night and he is having a bad hair day. Here is a picture. Brooke says he looks like a punk rocker. I say he needs a trim, or at least a bow. What do you think Andy?

Terry, the best of luck to you and John - I hope you (and i know you will!) have a wonderful trip to AKL.. will try not to write to much in the time you're away so you don't have to spend a week reading through all the chat!

Actually, scrap that... we are all going to be in Cruise Exchange mode so it will be busy!
