Called today & the BWV at 7 month window...

was limited. I called right at the 7 month window thsi morning at 9. All standard and boardwalk views not avavilable for early June. I wasn't expecting them to be, but I tried anyway. This kinda proves to me that we'll most likely never be abel to get either of these as early June I woudl think wouldn't be that in demand as most schools aren't out yet. Thsi is definetly an advantage BWV owners ahve over other DVC resort owners who don't ahve "perks" liek these to get at the 11 month window.
I got preferred pool/garden view? I think that si what she said. Are there water views such as the canal a different catagory?
Anyway, I requested a Luna Park view, close to elevator.
Is that too much in demand or you think I have a slight chance of getting that request filled? We will check in early Sunday morning.

Shan, did you waitlist for standard? I called at the 7 month mark a couple of weeks ago for May 23-28 in a studio. Standard was not available for all the nights, so I booked BCV, and waitlisted for BWV. They called me last week and said the standard studios had come open. After sleeping on it I decided to keep my BCV ressie since I had already borrowed the points for the ressie.

Since Boardwalk view is the same number of points, it is always a good idea to go on the wait list for that. You never know what could happen over the next 7 months.

If I call back and waitlist for boardwalk view can I do it for the whole reservation? I don't want to end up having to move mid stay with all the kids' stuff even if it is at the same resort.
If I cna waitlist for the whoel reservation instead of day by day can I do that by auto confirm?

I called today and was able to make reservations arriving May 30th with a check out of June 8th Boardwalk view for a 1Bedroom. While BWV is one of my home resorts, I did not make the reservation at 11 months out as I did not want to borrow points to make it. I had the points but are from two different resorts. Did not have enough at BWV to make the ressie.

You indicate you thought it would be easier in early June since most schools aren't out yet. In the South almost ALL the schools are out by mid to late May. I know of lots of local families who plan an early June trip. The only time to be sure schools will still be in is early May or late Sept and with year round school even that is not a sure bet.

disneyfanintn, those were about my same dates, but I wanted a studio. Mayeb I missed getting BW view but not much. If this is the case I shoudln't be too far down on a waitlist?

Is that how waitlists work? In orderby the date you called and got put on?
