Was told there are no full hook up sites available :earseek:
Went ahead and registered for a partial hook-up. Now, I went to disneycampers.com and see there are only two loops for partials - 1500 and 2000. I would like to call back and request one - any suggestions? I have 2 DD (12 and 15) - are the bath houses more crowded on one loop than on the other? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
Ellen

I don't know when you are going, but I would suggest calling back EVERY morning from now until trip time to modify your reservations. I have to do this frequently until I am able to get the preferred or full hookup. Good luck!

ugadog99 is right - if you really really would rather have full hook-up, "just keep callin', just keep callin'!..." to modify a famous Dory quote! :teeth:

Anyway, should you by necessity be in a partial h/u loop, here's what I have dug up (we're staying in one next year so I've been doing my homework): 1500 is closer to the center of activity - Meadow Trading Post, pool, Chip & Dale sing-along, etc.. It's also smaller. 2000 is larger, but further out and not really near anything. It might be quieter just by nature of its remote location. You also have to do a bus transfer, if you use them, as it is not on the main lines that take you to the marina (where, for instance, you would catch the boat to MK). So it's really a matter of convenience vs. a sense of really getting away from it all. "allearsnet.com" has some real good FW info, if you haven't checked it yet.

Good luck!

Can you tell me when you're going? We're planning on April 2006, and assumed we had plenty of time to make the res.

We want the 100 loop so we can easily walk to the boat and the stuff over there. Does anyone know if those are particularly small or not? We have a 30' fiver with one slide, so we shouldn't have too much trouble, I don't think, and dh is a good backer-inner.

The worst site we ever tried to back into was in the Yogi Bear Jellystone park in Indiana. The road was very narrow and twisting, and there were people parked right up to the road across from us. It took a while to get in!

June 11 - 19, 2005 for right now.
We are considering trying to change it for the week before (June 4 -12). We went that week in 2002 and it had no problem getting a full hookup site. Actually, when we go there we did not like the site they assigned us. We were going to have to cross the road to a bathhouse and I knew I did not want my children crossing by themselves and I really did not want to have to go with them everytime. We went back into the reservation desk and they gave us a selection of full hookup sites to choose from. Decisions, decisions!

We are going June 20 to June 28 I called last week to change my Dates by one day and she had a hard time doing it she put me on hold for 10min while she called the resort she said.I guess it is getting booked up fast just call everyday

Actually, Loop 2000 Bus Service does go directly to the marina, and outpost.

It DOES NOT go by the Meadows Area, so if you plan on using the Bike Barn, Campfire area, Loop 1500 is more convenient to all of that.

Loop 1500 is small and has one comfort station. It is not a far walk from any of the sites there to the comfort station. I have had no problems getting a shower when I wanted one in Loop 1500.

Loop 2000 is large and has 2 comfort stations. I stayed there one time, and while I never had to wait for a shower, the walk to the comfort station was a hike.

It is more likely you will get a site in 2000 that is a good distance from a comfort station.

If you have a camper, I would keep calling, trying to get a full hookup. There are no Dump stations on Disney property, so if you used your holding tanks any at all, you would have to wait till the end of your trip and find a dump station on the way home.

Loop 1500 is right next to Loop 1600, and if absolutely necessary, you could dump your holding tank into a bucket and dump it in an empty site on 1600.

Loop 2000 is really specifically designed for tenters. It has LARGE sand areas for tents and shelters, and very small driveway space. Unless you feel comfortable parking your camper on the sand, you might have to park your tow vehicle in the front parking lot.

Loop 1500 is older and has a bit longer driveways than Loop 2000, so more room for your camper.

We have camped in both the 2000 loop and the 1500 loop and we much prefer the 1500 loop. 2000 is much larger and the bath houses get a lot more use. 1500 does share a bath house with the next loop but it is a full hook up loop and most peole use their own bathrooms. That loop is a pet loop, but the dogs never bothered us.

The 100 loop has some smaller and some larger sites. We had a 30 ft TT pulled by a 25 ft bus and were able to fit on the site. We did however request a large site to fit our equipment when we booked. We love the 100 loop and have stayed there twice. It is so convenient especially with kids in a stroller. We didn't have to transfer busses too much.
