I have had the add on bug for a while... wanting more BCV points, esp since we are know a family of 5, we think access to SAB is extremely important, at least for the next 10 plus years.....

Soooooo since we have a ridiculas amount of points we are shifting things around and will sell one of our OKW contracts to cover the cost of the BCV points. :teeth:

DH says we may even take a look at SSR and sell off the other OKW contract to add on there...... Not sure if I want to do that.... but again, we think the pool is a huge issue. SSR's pool looks a lot more inviting than the OKW pool.... UGH are we pool snobs?

:::::::Shrug::::::::::

Hey if that is what is important to you, then by all means do it! :)

The cost of selling the OKW so you can buy BCV can be prohibitive, esp if you go through a broker. Basically what you are buying is the 11 month window and higher dues v. the 7 month window. I'm sure you have considered all this. You must really love SAB! We must try it sometime.

Yes, we have considered all the above and more. SAB and the 11 month window is important to us. Plus we stand to make a small profit from our OKW points since we bought full loaded resale contracts for 64 pp and have confidence we can sell our stripped contract for at least 67 pp right now... even more later.......

We bought our OKW contracts as our first taste of DVC...... But now that we have taken, gosh, 7 trips to WDW in 1 1/2 years, we have a better idea of how to structure our frequent visits. And that is way different than what we thought when we first bought in. Down time at the pool is a must. Heck right now the two oldest would be happy to just hang out at SAB and have breakfast with Minnie everyday.... no parks.... no rides... just SAB and Minnie! We also feel the BCV resort area has a lot to offer the older crowd too. Lots of action. Yet lots of wandering paths for lovely quiet walks, down time, up time...... whatever...... all right there.

I guess we learned we want more out of our resort area than OKW has to offer....... No biggy, we are selling the OKW contracts for a profit, using MB on the BCV points. No worries a bout booking windows......... All is good here! :teeth:

Now our choice to ditch the other OKW contract for SSR.... That may be a bit silly...... I am taking a wait and see with that...... Cant wait to find out all the details. My guide today was tight lipped about any incentives. She even asked me to call her when I find out, thanks to the DIS! LOL:bounce:

I think I would take a wait and see on selling your other OKW contract for SSR. You should be able to get in at SSR at 7 mos out for quite awhile when they start releasing inventory and continue to build there. I can understand the pool issue with little kids - the zero entry is a really nice feature and if what someone stated on another thread about an exclusive pool hopping to SSR from OKW being true, that might make it more desirable to keep the OKW contract. In a few years, you might want that extra space with 3 little ones running around!
