called for PS today, first day of change

Has any one else called this a.m for PS? If I heard "Thank you for your time and patience", was going to strangle that guy! It seems to play every 2 minutes. And I was on hold for 30 minutes... I even tried simultaniously with my cell phone and initaially could not get through as "the circuits were busy".......


However it was well worth it! I got PS for CRT! and the ironic thing is that I got it for 10/03 - 60 days from today. I have tried the last 3 days (the 60 day mark), being on hold less time and not being successful. Hope others also have success!!

I was wondering if I should stay on hold...I am on hold right now and have been on the phone for 40 minutes already...I agree with the "Thank you for your time and patience....enough already!!" I hope I get as lucky as you...I am trying for CRT for Oct 20-27th!

I was on hold for 45 minutes but it was worth it because I got CRT for 10/19 and even had several times to choose from!! The new dining rule certainly worked for me today!! I can't wait until dd's wake up so I can tell them!

I just got off the phone. I held for nearly an hour... BUT when I asked for CRT on Oct. 18th, they seemed to be wide open. This was at 5 til 8:00 Disney Dining Time. Yeh. Glad I got what I wanted.

7:00 I called the DC # and pressed 3 for dining. At 7:10 I picked up the other phone and called another number. Of course the second line was answered first.

I was able to make 3 PS this morning, Cindy's, the breakfast in Norway(I can never remember the name of that one) and Crystal Palace.

I need to call back and see If I can book Rainforest Cafe.

Hey, we'll see you there. I just got our ressie for 10/19 too. Besides the frustration of being on hold for an hour, it worked for me too. I wound up calling the WDTC though cause I ran out of patience!!

What time did you get? I got 10:00. I'm hoping that since it's EE day we can take advantage of those first 2 hours and be ready for a break by the time our ps rolls around.

Yeah! I held over an hour but got my first choice day at CRT plus some other PS's that I wanted!

I waited for 40 minutes around 7:45 AM (thank goodness for the Disney Club number ). Cinderella's breakfast was already sold out for the day I was trying for--October 4. I was able to get the last of my PS, including dinner at the Crystal Palace before the October 5 Not-so-Scary Halloween Party....

The CM told me that they had been slammed this morning and expected to stay busy most of the day. She also expressed how relieved she was that Disney chose to go to a 90-day blanket policy, the original 180/90 day was very confusing and time consuming for them.

I called so many times starting at 6:55 with two phones- IMHO it was not worth it to start until 6:59- I think I seriously called about 20X with redial- can't wait to see the phone bill. But- in the end it was worth it because I got Cindy's for 2 dates- now who is more excited, me or DD1 (me me me me). I partially did this to avoid having to wait in major autograph lines in the park with DD1, plus she loves to eat and pose for the camera! It's a literaly a win/win situation! We will be there at 9:55 on 10/12 and 10:20 on 10/19 (day before we leave). I have to say Yeahhhhh again, I'm so excited!!!!!

WOW I must of got lucky then!!! I was going to wake up and call first thing like everyone else but over slept 30 min. I called at 7:30 and was on hold for only 5 min!!! and was able to make a ps for CP before MNSSHP on Oct 3rd.

I made ours at 8:50. I like your plan but it wouldn't work for us cause the whole time in the park we'd be listening to "is it time to go to the castle yet?". Knowing it would drive me crazy I opted for a little earlier

Hi all --

My wife and I woke up at 6:30 this morning to get ready for the big 7:00 am phone call. She couldn't stop saying that I was nuts. Well as the clock on the tv news channel struck 6:59, I started dialing in on our house phone. My wife used her cell phone. After dialing in 4x I was put on hold. My wife continued to dial, but constantly received a busy signal or the "all circuits are busy" message. At around 7:20 she got through but was put on hold. I also tried my cell phone, and at around 7:30 I was put on hold. FINALLY at around 7:45, I was startled when a Disney rep answered on the house phone that I used, and then asked for and GOT CINDY'S RESERVATIONS FOR 8:05 on 10/27. HOOORRRRAAAAYYY !!!!

Ya' know I must be nuts, because I probably spent 30 extra dollars waiting on hold on three phones dialing from Philly to Fla. But I'm sure it'll be worth it for my wife and I and our three kids (DS 9, DD6, DS3).

We like the time of 10:20. Get to EE, ride for 2 hours in Fantasyland, and then to breakfast. Did it last time, and now, in October will do it again.

BTW, I was following your posts during your frustration this morning. I'm glad you got through.

I got Cindy's also for 10/19 at 8:05am. I also got Crystal Palace on 10/23 at 8:30am. I was on hold for 40 min. on the DC 800#.

I am Super Happy! Congrats to everyone who got theirs.

Thanks for the person/people who let all of us know about the new "rules" for PS. Only on hold for 7 minutes @ 2:00 pm EST
We have reservations at 5 and they told me the show is a 7:30 so I guess we will have more than enough time to eat but that was the only time available--October 16

I had all mine made but two, and didn't call til around 9:45. I got right thru and got both times I wanted. Now I'm done with all of them!

I was amazed at the hold times. I had just hung up from being told they were closed and hit redial again when the prompt menu came on, I listened to be sure no changes had taken place, hit #1 and then held for 20 minutes. It couldn't have been more than 7:00:30 when I hit #1 and I waited 20 minutes.

Of course, there is a happy ending. I got CRT for 10/26 at 9:35am. Woo-hoo! Doing the happy dance!
