Just called for the he!! of it, and asked if I had a PIN code attached to our name. We had a 40% off code for the exact time we are planning on vacationing (late April), so that was cool.

The CM had mentioned I can cash in the 10-day passes for an AP when we get down there (I did not know that). What is the cost difference between them??? We always get AP's, so I would like to renew on this trip.

You don't even have to buy the 10 day pass, you can buy a 1 day pass & upgrade those if your pin allows it (sounds like it is the 40% room only pin). Basically, the cost is the price difference of what you paid for your tics to the AP. (or, AP price - ticket cost = upgrade price).

dear boxer!!!! I dont know you but i love you! i just took your advice to see if I had a pin code floating out there, and I did!!!!!! for only $400 more we switched our reservation to a pool view room in animal kingdom lodge!!!!!!!! i am more excited than you could ever under stand!!! we were at pop cent!!!! what an upgrade for $400~

LOL, are you good looking?? I may love you right back!!! Seriously though, I just thought I'd give it a try since I honestly have been experiencing email troubles, and *thought* I might have a PIN attached to my name. I've been on the Disney website for about a month saving offers, and planning trips in HOPES that I'd get a PIN offered. I was right.

Have fun on your trip---AKL is a BIG DIFFERENCE from POP.

I did the same thing the end of last week and I had the code attached to my name, I booked the Poly for Dec.7-15 of 2010 and saved almost $1400. Then yesterday I got the email about the pin. So you people who called and had the pin will probably get your official email shortly. This will be our fifth stay at the Poly. It doesn't get any better than that.

So I called and no pin attached to either my name nor my husband's name. Bummer, bummer, bummer. Really need one for June.

If you paid for park hoppers will that be taken off the total for the APs?

So what I am asking is when I price it, do I deduct the entire price I paid or just what the cost for base tickets would be from the AP rate?

Yes, what ever the current gate price is for the ticket you bought will be taken off your AP cost (make sure you use the ticket at least once first for the current gate price to be used)

We did this with 10-day park hoppers (expiring, no WP&M) in September and the cost to upgrade to APs was a bit more than $200 per adult. If you're going back in under a year (we're going in May), it really makes sense.

_If_ you had tickets that cost _more_ than APs (which a 10-day non expiring ticket can), then you do _not_ get a refund of the difference. (Unless you're very, very lucky.)
