Call to MS lasted over an hour a bit nervous!

I think all the changes I have made broke MS system:confused3!

I have made several changes to our x-mas reservation before deciding/realizing we could do the GV for 4 - 6 nights at BLT over NYE. I called yesterday to book 5 ni. keeping the 1st 3 nights in the 2 bdrm BLT. That is when I realized I was 1 point short to do 5 ni GV (and to think I gave up the std 2bdrm I originally booked):headache:

DH and I were talking and decided if we are going to change rooms we should try a different resort at 7 months for those nights. I called today and decided to use our SSR points to do the 1st 3 ni at SSR and to book the full 6 ni. at BLT GV:cloud9:. That is when everything went haywire. I transferred points from another SSR membership and although MS could see I had enough points it was not letting her book it - out comes trouble ticket #1. MS is holding the room but it cannot be booked until they fix my account.
Okay :rolleyes1 lets move on and cancel BLT 2bd and add 1 night to GV and lets see where my points are after we do all that because I may want to add 1 more night at the end if I have enough points.
"Okay 5 nights confirmed in GV BLT, I am showing you have 1038 points LEFT in your BLT account:worship::thumbsup2" Ummmm I only have 285 points per UY so thinking that is not right - book GV for the whole trip wohooo!

Anywhooo they are "holding" that last night GV, and SSR and have a 2nd trouble ticket out because my BLT points keep multiplying! CM was more then nice, very apologetic but did say this may take awhile to straighten out:confused: I sure hope they do not mess this up! Gotta love computer technology!popcorn::
 
Well, if it helps at all, last year I had a problem with my account when they switched the computers over and I couldn't get a room booked. They put it on hold for me while they worked on my account. I was so nervous and did call a few times just to be sure. It took about 2 weeks, but it all went well.

Hopefully, they can fix it rather quickly! Good luck! I can't wait until the day I can stay at BLT in a GV
 
Using transfered points to book a reservation has had problems for years. After going through the same issues a couple of years ago we decided to never transfer points again.

I hope that you had a record of how many points you started with and what you should have now because MS will have no idea.

I do know exactly how many points I had and in which UY since I am using a little over 2 years worth of points for this trip. I like their calculation much better then mine! Funny it is only the 2012 points (BLT) that are way over stated 2011 and 2013 are fine along with all SSR and I actually transferred in SSR Oct to SSR Aug yet BLT is messed!

Thanks Sandi - and I am rather shocked I am doing the GV myself, a lot of points, but 2013 is a big year HS graduation for youngest DD, College grad for oldest DD, 25th wedding anniversary for DH and I along with DH will be turning 50 so I wanted to ring the New Year in a big way! :banana:
 
Yep their computers (insert bad word here)... We made our reservations for next Christmas which did include a points transfer from membership to membership. Well in the process we lost 4 points. They never were able to find anything that said they were missing but i saw the discrepancy on a screen when i "attempted" to do an online reserv. In the end we just decided to forget about the 4 points and move on. Our account is a disaster. We had to modify our summer reservations from a standard to a LV with accommodations and they had to make/cancel/remake that reservation 5 times before they could get their computers to do it correctly.
 
Is there some sort of internal accounting process that would (hopefully) straighten out your points eventually?

Somehow along the way, I have ended up with a few extra points in my account for an upcoming use year. My ds says "let them know about it, or it's essentially stealing", my daughter says "Yipeee!" and my son (who is a seasonal cast member says "it's Disney, they will find it on their own and fix it, and you don't need to contact them."

Truthfully, I agree with dh,and I'm certainly not using these points to make reservations, but I'm afraid after reading these posts that if I call things could get messed up and I will end up with LESS points than I should have!

Suggestions?
 
Today my account looks even worse, the BLT GV is now not showing as a reservation when last night it did. It still show 1198 remaining in 2012 UY. All my SSR points are just as they should be - still find it weird since I was transferring in SSR points to use them and it is my 3 BLT contracts that are completely messed up! Better have my reservation for Wed's check in at THV! I will give it some time but I will have to modify this reservation again as we are hoping to stay at AKV come the 7 month mark.

It all depends on you. You could call them and ask for them to take a look at your account and confirm that the proper amount of points were used for each vacation. If they say yes then move on. I suspect in your case your needed points were changed during a points chart change and an up coming vacation just need a few less points and they refunded them back to you. If it is going to bother you then ask but at some point you have to stop picking rocks out of the dam...if you don't then whoosh...you may loose 1038 points... :rolleyes: :teeth:

Wow, I wish my BLT points would multiply!!!:lmao:
 
Okay still no progress - account looks exactly the same still showing 1198 -2012 BLT points! Boy I would love to use them. Of course the GV for the 6 nights is not showing for NYE and SSR 3 night. My only worry is the GV over NYE they better not muck that up!:headache:

I guess I will wait until I get home from my trip leaving TODAY THV 10 nights wooot:banana: and call MS then if it is not fixed -keeping all my notes.
