Call me stupid, but....

....I am still not quite clear on what number do I call to check if a PIN is attached to our name, and what or how exactly do I word my question?
I have looked over the other threads and the one at the top about all you need to know about PIN's but I'm still unsure.
Anybody willing to "dumb" it down for me?!

Call the general reservation line, and tell the CM that you are thinking about booking a trip and are curious if you have any PIN's associated with your name... or if you have one already booked, tell them you are curious if you have one that might save you some money.
