Call me stupid about hurricanes but?

OK I am really starting to worry. Now Hanna is a Hurricane and there are 2 more storms behind her and they just named TS Ike and then there is one behind him. I am leaving on the 12th and don't know if I should wait some more or look into cancelling our trip. I hate flying also, so I am really freaking out and my DD7, is glued to the hurricane website and she is freaking out. What to do, what to do?

Did you not know Sept is hurricane peak when you booked? I was at WDW the day after Charley hit and everything was fine. Stop watching the weather channel and you'll feel better. The storms out in the ocean near Africa cannot be predicted at all right now, the area past Ike isn't a storm yet, just highly likely to develop into one. Hanna will be gone by the time of your flight. I would suggest avoiding looking at the weather until the 9th or 10th.

Does that make me silly for worrying more about the flight then the trip itself.

That's the only part I am concerned about. Disney is rather safe if a hurricane does hit while you are there, you'll just be stuck in a hotel room for a little bit.
