Hi, I am trying to work out which buildings at the poly have lagoon views - the proper full lagoon views that you pay for. Each time i do a search on here it brings up stuff about partial views that you get when you pay garden view. I am staying in a lagoon view - proper lagoon view, non-concierge next week. I have checked Tikiman's website, and from what I can see I will either be in Tahiti or Tuvalu. Did I get this right, or are there more? Thanks.

Here's a link to a map.

Also, you're not going to get any better info than you will at Tikiman's site. You should also consider which floor you want to stay on and request it. There are many opinions on which is better, all are valid for their various personal reasons - convenience to the beach or privacy and so on.

Some lagoon views are obscured by trees and bushes. You should be prepared to request a different room if this happens to you. Usually it's not all that bad, but one year we had a 3rd floor room in Hawaii (I think 3507) and there was the top of a tree right in front of the window so large it obscured the lagoon itself. The CM was wonderful downstairs and immediately switched us to the best view (IMHO) which was one of the Tikiman suites (lol!) room 3505.

Enjoy...

You might be misusing tikiman's website. He has a page for each longhouse, and if you click on the link, it shows you an exact floorplan map of the long house, by room number, and indicates exactly which of the rooms are lagoon view.

In addition to the ones you mention, I believe that Aotearoa has lagoon view rooms -- about half the rooms on the side facing the lagoon. I think there are also some (just a couple) of lagoon rooms on the lagoon facing corner of Tokelau.

I guess I did not do a good enough job if that part is not clear. Well maybe this will help. Here is a map that is on my maps page and all the longhouse names in blue and pink have lagoon view rooms.

These include Tahiti, Tokelau, Hawaii (concierge), Tonga (concierge suites), Tuvalu and Aotearoa.

Tahiti, Tuvalu and Hawaii have all the rooms facing the MK (north) as lagoon view rooms.
Aotearoa has a little less than half the rooms that face the MK (north) as lagoon view rooms

Tokelau only has two rooms that they categorize as lagoon view rooms but many times they put people in them under a garden view price since they do not face the MK directly.

I hope this helps

why not try for a room in fiji-facing the marina-3rd floor w/balcony-sitting out on the balcony and looking left is a great view of the lagoon w/ the contemporary and space mtn in the distance-for a garden view price! :wizard:

Thanks for that everyone. Tikiman - your website is great - i am just hopeful with maps. Oots - as imformative as your post was, it was what i have been trying to avoid. I love poly garden view, but I could only get a lagoon view, i have paid about $100 per night for that privilage and i can't change my ressy, as i have booked through wdw uk.

Looks like I should just request a third floor lagoon in any building though - but, I can't spell it, Aortora looks quite a distance from the lagoon, so maybe i would request all except that one, as it looks quite a distance from the lagoon. Will check out Tikimans website again.
