Call from Radisson!

After seeing all the different responses people were getting from Radisson had to write about mine. E-mailed them last week to see about getting on the shuttle the morning of June 19th. Received a response a few days later saying their policy at this time was to only take reservations on the day of check-in. Well, this morning got a call from them asking what time I wanted to be put on the shuttle list. Has anyone else gotten a personal call for this? I haven't seen anyone mention it. Anyway, hopefully this worry is resovled for us. So maybe e-mailing doesn't hurt.

Good news twice for you - Radisson worries over with and under a hundred days. Wishing the 99 days go fast and then the cruise days are real slow and Enjoyable. - Mike
 
Maybe the Radisson has been reading the posts here and is re-thinking their policy. I know a lot of people cancelled with them or decided not to make a reservation. I am really glad you got the service you did, you deserved it!

Sounds to me that they need to adopt a policy and train all of their employees to stick with it!

Good for you! Maybe your email will force Radisson to get their act together. They've lost quite a few clients just because they can't get their stories straight.
 
I just e'mailed the Radisson about reserving the shuttle for our 3 families who are staying there in August - hopefully I will get a positive reply - I will report back after I hear from them. I know they have been getting some really bad reviews lately, but we stayed with them in August, 2002 and April, 2003 and both trips we have had a wonderful stay. Our kids love their pool and both times all of our rooms have been spotless and have never experienced any problem with the pool area. We have always had a great time around the pool the night before just talking to all the other families scheduled to cruise the next day too. We are sticking with the Radisson again!!
 
Thought you'd like to hear about our experience - I emailed the Radisson about using their shuttle and got a very nice response from MaryAnn in the reservations department.

She added us to the 10.30 shuttle (she said this was the earliest even though some of the DIS posts say 10.00am) and didn't mention anything about special cruise rates, securing the reservation with a credit card or waiting until check-in!
 
I also wondered if the Radisson ever reads this board. It seems as though a sweep of cancellations happened in the past week or so (us included). You would think this hotel would wonder what is up!

I bet lots of people are switching to the new Ron Jon Resort now that they have free parking while on the cruise.
 
Over the weekend I e-mailed the thread to Radisson Customer Services.

I gave it to them as sort of a "for your own sake you'd better check this out" sort of thing. It was the thread with everyone bolting the Radisson for the new Ron Jon Hotel.

I got a cookie-cutter response yesterday, but who knows...maybe they wised up.
 
I e-mailed the Raddison two months or so before our 2/28 cruise and they reserved four spots on the 10:30 shuttle for us, no problem.

I must also mention that our room was spotless and very nice. Help with the baggage was a bit lagging, but otherwise we had a great night's stay and buffet breakfast with them two weeks ago.
 
What email address to you use to request the shuttle times?
 
I just went to the Radisson website and used the "e-mail us" feature. I got a quick response telling me I could expect a reply within a couple of days.
 
I e'mailed on Thursday and still haven't received any type of a response - not even one acknowledging that they received my request - I just sent another one off.
 
I emailed the Radisson on Friday and received two responses back and then a phone call this morning. They put our names on the 10:30 shuttle list for the morning of our cruise. This is after I called twice and was told both times I would have to reserve the shuttle upon check-in.
They really need to be consistent with everyone. Hopefully after being sent the thread from the boards with all the complaints about them things will change. With Ron Jon's being their newest competition they will have to.
 
The new Ron Jon Resort sounds just fabulous! And I know that there are probably quite a few cruisers now staying there, or considering making the move.

But, I just wanted to say that we stayed at the Radisson back in Sept. and had a really nice stay! We had a 1-br suite (lucked out on a great rate) and it was really nice! We were on the first shuttle out... The drivers were friendly, quick, efficient, eager to load our luggage for us and get us on our way! Nice clean late model van/busses... everything went without one tiny concern.

I am sure that the Radisson is feeling the new competition. But I just wanted say that had a great stay with them, NO problems whatsoever!
 
Hi all,
I have spoke to Mr. Joe Panackia, who is the general manager of the Radisson and I can not say enough good about him - when a problem came up on the board about the condition of the Radisson I called him and before I knew it, he was at my shop.
He has gone well beyond the call of duty to make sure things are right - I know he reads these boards and I know he does take it very much to heart - in fact last year, he was even giving out his cell phone number to anyone that needed it and to me that is going well beyond the call of duty - when you email the Radisson direct it to him directly and I have no doubts he will take what ever steps that has to be taken.
If I can help on this end, just ring my chimes.
