Hello,
Not that my family is HUGE...but my son is 5'10" and 230 pounds. Will he have trouble fitting on the ride?

Thanks,
TK

He won't have a problem at all. My DBF is 5'10" and a little more than 230 and it's his favorite ride and he doesn't have a problem fitting in the seat. :)

Agreeing. My DH is about the same (5'11", 250) and can fit just fine.

Hubby is 5'10" and when we got home from our trip he was 299.4 (he's been doing WW for a couple years so he knows exactly). He fit on Screamin'.

Now he has a broad and thick back, and his arms are big, so when he put his arm up to pull down the harness thing it got stuck up, poor guy. He let the CM know, the CM let the harnesses up, and DH tried again.

He was worried about not fitting, since he still can't do Maliboomer (they have a shoulder harness like Screamin' but then it has a tether to clip into the seat, and he's an inch, inch and a half away from the tether clipping), but since Screamin' didn't have the clip he was fine.

Your son will be fine.

Thank you all for your quick responses. :goodvibes I could think of nothing worse than getting all the way onto the ride and having to exit. Now we won't have to worry!!

It's not fun...hubby has done it twice now with Maliboomer. And he's a sensitive guy. But the CMs have been fabulous and kind, not demeaning; they have tried their best to get the clip clipped as well.

But with Screamin', unless your family REALLY wants to all ride it at the same time, I can't recommend the Single Rider line more. You won't sit together and you probably won't even be on the same group of coaster cars, but most likely you'll all be on and off in a shorter amount of time total than if you stand in line (either stand by or fast pass).

Great tip! Any other tips for first-timers?? :listen:
