What do you guys think? I personally like the old surfer dude voice, but I do see how this new one fits the 1920's boardwalk direction that DCA is trying to move toward. Haha I'll probably end up liking it after I get used to it

I think it's fine, and more fitting with the current themeing. In fact when I listened to the video it was hard for me to tell it is NPH. I was thinking it sounded like ..... "These new themed recordings recall a carnival sideshow barker, in keeping with the theme of all the boardwalk amusements in Paradise Pier. " I guess according to the blog, thier mission was accomplished.

Since we are going tomorrow, I'm not going to listen to it now. I will miss the old voice, but I'll have to see what I think of the new one when go.

I think it is a good thing. The voice over before, IMHO, was a bit boring. He has been getting a lot of notice lately and I have always liked his voice. I say it is a good thing.

I was actually fortunate enough to meet the old voice of the ride over at Disneyland and he was super cool and he even did the whole spiel (sp?) for us!! It was neat, and will miss telling people, "We actually got to hear the real thing in person!"
