Does anybody know- If I call PS to request seating during a fireworks show at the MK if they will be able to make the ressie for me, or do I need to KNOW when the fireworks are FIRST and then call to request that seating?

Thanks!

You will first need to know what time fireworks are, and make a PS for 1-1.5 hours before fireworks. You may have to wait an hour or so for a window table.

Agree.
And unless you actually get one of the few window tables (or very near) you really won't be able to SEE the fireworks in a strict sense. You'll need to stand up and walk over to the window area.

Thanks all! I went over to the Disney site to find out what day/time they would be having Fantasy in the Sky in January, but it's not listed yet!:(

I am ALMOST certain that they have it on Saturday nights in January (when we will be going), and I think in the past it has been at 8:00p.m so I'm thinking of making a ressie for the one Saturday night that we will be there for about 7:00ish. Does that sound like a plan? I don't want to be left without and I'm already hoping it's not too late!

Should be OK.
Here's what happened to us the last time we ate at CG on a Saturday nite(May 2002)--PS were for 8:00--we arrived at 7:45. We were finally seated at 9:00--having to stand up the entire time because the small bar and lounge were full.
The fireworks began (I think) at 9:30 that nite.
And our table was in the "wine room", where you really can't see a thing.

Hi Uncleromulus,
I have been avoiding California Grill for some reason. Well, I read it's loud and crowded but then I also read that's it's romantic and one of the finest places to dine on Disney property.
My husband and I really like fine food and wine, but are not adventurous eaters. We love the steak at Flying Fish but our last visit there was not quite as fantastic as usual. I think we may try Citrico's for Thanksgiving dinner. We loved Portobello's recently, we hadn't been there in years.
We were not THAT impressed with Shula's,we also have a Shula's nearby. We had kind of a bad experience at Palio's.
Well, to my question.... how would you recommend we do California Grill if we decide to go there? It would probably have to a Saturday night. I guess I won't worry about fireworks, I'd just like it to be a comfortable and romantic evening.
Thanks in advance!
Mary Ann
